All of the dondurma is made upstairs with handpicked locally made products. I visited Baba Dondurma after a local highly recommended the shop. Entrance of the shop boasts a selection of about 12 different dondurma flavours. Each flavour is specially made weekly. The inside of the shop is filled with smells of cinnamon. You can find the wife making homemade cones. There are a few tables so you can enjoy your dessert while sitting. The flavours are absolutely incredible. During my visit, I tried the melon, banana, and cherry. The owner also brought me fresh coffee dondurma to try- and honestly, it was fantastic. I met with the owner personally and he said that he hand picks all of the ingredients. This is what makes the dondurma so delicious! Overall, if you're in Fethiye, you need to come here. This is the best dondurma in Fethiye and perhaps in all of Turkey. Try the coffee flavour!

So, we decided, to give a go one evening. We are so glad that we did. First thing that hit us was the waiters memory of serving us before. We were then treated like old friends. While starting a bottle of delicious white wine we decided on treating ourselves to the best steak in the world, a chateaubriand. We have eaten this before and did realise the expense of this wonderful piece of meat. I London you expect to pay a minimum of £65 for two. The shock on our faces looking at the price on the menu, £20 for two. No contest. It arrived at our table in one whole piece. The waiter carved at the table, checking that it had been cooked to our satisfaction. Laid on plates with accompanying vegetables. The steak melted in our mouths. Beautiful. After this a break was needed but we were never rushed. In fact we had no room for a dessert so opted for a cappuccino and Irish coffee. Another surprise, the Irish coffee was a work of art. We had to take a photograph. Also the Irish coffee seemed to have very little coffee in it LOL. All in all, a wonderful evening and a fantastic dining experience. Service was second to none, food was top of its class. I would advise anyone to give this restaurant a try, you won't be disappointed. Try it for lunch and/or dinner, as we did.

The Turks have a wonderful ability of remembering faces, people, orders etc etc. Meals, in this restaurant are taken under the shade of various plants which make a wonderful foliage ceiling. Food is traditional Turkish cuisine. That makes a nice change from Turkish cuisine moulded to our tastes. Service is very friendly but professional. Wines are reasonably priced and we really loved Turkish wine. Can't get it at home. For the children, animals run around the floor. Chickens, rabbits, tortoise........a fun place.
