Despite my genetic hypermobility, I lacked the musculature and training to kick above my waist. Master Giamo recognized my untapped potential and took me under his wing. I am now a 5th Dan. His training began with an introductory assessment to determine if he was mature enough based on reasonable expectations for kids his age. We then had the option for a 3 class trial (including uniform) before committing to a program. In our case, my son enjoyed it and so we enrolled him. Since my son was interested, I also chose to enroll and begin my training. What makes Nackard Karate so special is the caliber of the instructors. They are incredibly patient with the kids but also teach important lessons around focus and following instructions (much needed in this digital age). For adult classes, there are no egos - the instructors are gracious with their time and care very much about instilling proper techniques.
