The address drop pin is wildly off! Don't follow it because this place is not in town, it's out in the country side. Lovely , quiet room with air conditioning controlled by a remote. Dinner wasn't exceptional but the venue is! read more

Come hungry and be prepared for multiple courses when you order family style. The appetizers alone are enough to fill you. Best vegetables, meat, and pasta courses I have had since being in Sicily. Expect to spend a few hours here dining, drinking unlimited amounts of wine, and admiring the beautiful scenery. Highly recommend

I have lots of good things to say about San Giorgio Palace Hotel…read more First and foremost, location. It is within a less than 5 minute walking distance to all the major sites in the piazza, including the Duomo, without having to navigate all of the circuitous roads. The hotel is right off the main road with on street parking available (if you are lucky). We booked a room at the last minute when our hotel in Siracusa lacked heat and decent parking (our car got pummeled by sea spray). When we arrived, the San Giorgio gave us a choice of rooms with even the option to tour each before choosing. The room was extremely spacious (see photo) with a very comfortable bed and lots of heat. The bathroom was huge and had a delightful shower. Breakfast was pretty good with cheese, bread, juice and sweets options. The views were especially lovely. Living in a 300+ year old stone farmhouse, I appreciate how hard it can be to push WiFi evenly throughout an old, stone building. WiFi was quite good. The hotel is a perfect blend of modern conveniences while retaining the beauty of its 19th century building. Check in and checkout was a breeze. When going to Ragusa, stay nowhere else. (And please go to Ragusa... I loved it) 10/10

The first night I had two comforters because I get cold, but the second night they took my second comforter which made sleeping a little less comfortable. The location is great. Right in the city, which was good for shopping and checking out the cure Ragusa city. The outlet in the bathroom didn't work, so I wasn't able to blow dry my hair which was frustrating. Overall, a decent hotel. If you're on a budget or winter staying in the room much, I would recommend this place.

The bed is a bit lumpy and the water temperature has a bit of temper. It can be varied all within a minute- temperate, extremely hot then extremely cold. The ambiance could be improved using more candle lights and background music. The prices of the dishes are reasonable while the wine list is a little bit pricey and only listing Sicilian wines. We were welcomed with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine (which was unfortunately not anymore sparkling). The starter was nice and tasteful while the main course was ok (even if the spinach as side dish were pretty salty). Service was attentive but in my opinion too much stiff.

The home was a bit hard to find but the directions were good and I've put in a request for Google Maps to include the location of GreenCorner. This trip was a bit of a digital detox but it would have been nice to have some wifi at times, there was a 4G modem sitting on the kitchen counter but I couldn't manage to get it working. The home was simply magic and it was what I think Airbnb is all about, a real authentic experience. The home is a split level with the lounge and kitchen downstairs and the bedroom and bathroom upstairs. It's perfect for a single traveller or a couple looking for a romantic getaway and a perfect base to explore Ragusa. The home was set at the bottom of the street so it was away from any road noise and overlooked a lovely valley. There was a flat screen TV downstairs that I often had italian MTV playing in the background while I read at the table. I actually moved the table into the middle of the lounge room as it offered such a better view. There was also a bar fridge if you plan on doing some shopping, and if you are looking for the plates and cups they are on the right side just near the entrance. It was probably my favourite spot I stayed at during my time in Sicily!
