I initially booked an Astral Integration session (3 hours total), added an extra hour of recording, and I'm currently in the middle of my Transformation package (6 hours total). As you can clearly deduce, I love working with her! Her readings for me have been incredibly spot on. She possessed such rare combination of gentle compassion, empathy, and meticulousness, which she so generously poured into my readings. Each session we've had so far spoke deeply into my soul and awakened parts of myself I wasn't in touch with before. Her recent Year Ahead reading for me is so incredibly helpful in assisting me gain clarity as I begin to set intentions for 2020.You can tell that this work is an extension of her soul. I'm very grateful of the work she's doing. No matter what your level of proficiency with the language of astrology, she will meet you where you're at and distill the wisdom of this symbolic language in ways that will move you. --------------------------- LONG VERSION Around September last year, I felt a strong pull to get a birth chart reading from a professional astrologer. Prior to that, my exposure to astrology was ankle deep - some books here and there, casual conversations with friends, Instagram memes. Looking back, I was driven by the desire to tap into a greater sense of flow and freedom by re-tuning the minutiae of my life to the essence of who I am. The birth chart is one fantastic way to do this, but it can get overwhelming doing it yourself especially as a beginner. I did extensive research and was determined to find an astrologer whose work and personality resonated with me on a gut level. Serendipitously, I came across Britten's website (thanks Google!) and I was immediately drawn to her writing style - which I would describe as the perfect balance of lucidity and poetry. I initially booked an Astral Integration session (3 hours total), to which I ended up adding an extra hour of recording, and I'm currently in the middle of my Transformation package (6 hours total). In addition, I'm also invested in her Seasonal Teachings, which are 4+ hours of 'transmission-style' recordings discussing the archetype of particular signs of the season (eg. Libra archetype for late September to late October), as well as a week-by-week breakdown of the planetary transits. As you can clearly deduce, I love working with her! I would argue it's one of the best decision I've ever made. Here are some of the reasons why. The multi-session structure of her readings worked particularly well for me. Rather than 1-hour readings, which is the norm for birth chart readings, she splits her reading into three separate parts: initial discussion, a recording of your birth chart reading which you can listen to deeply in your own privacy at your own pace, then a final follow up discussion to discuss how the reading resonates with you. The whole experience felt like a journey. It allowed me room and time to reflect on the wisdom she imparted on aspects of my chart and how I can usher in the deepest transformations. In hindsight, the potency of this structure is that it progressively allowed me to reclaim the responsibility of transforming my own life. The time and space between readings are almost as valuable as the readings themselves because that's where the work truly happened for me. I don't see a lot of astrologer using this structure, so kudos to Britten for creating such a powerful container. The readings themselves were incredibly spot on for me. Britten possessed such rare combination of gentle compassion, empathy, and meticulousness, which she so generously poured into my readings. Each session we've had so far spoke deeply into my soul and awakened parts of myself I wasn't aware of before. With each reading, I thought to myself, "Wow that was the best yet" and I think that's a lot coming from me (Virgo rising here haha). Her recent Year Ahead reading for me is so incredibly helpful in assisting me gain clarity as I begin to set intentions for 2020. You can tell that this work is an extension of her soul. Beyond the birth chart readings, I've also requested her to create a guided meditation to facilitate some shadow work I was doing as well as a tarot reading. It's no easy task to facilitate clients as they journey into their own Underworld, but Britten helped me unearth some precious information about ancestral pains that I'm sure I'll continue to work on for a while. Her tarot reading was also very thought-provoking and I'm excited to see how it can shape the next 12 months of my life. I'm so very grateful of the work she's doing with her clients and of everything else she's putting out into the world. No matter what your level of proficiency with the language of astrology, she will meet you where you're at and distill the wisdom of this symbolic language in ways that will move you.

Britten does an excellent job of explaining all aspects of your chart, in a way that's easy to absorb. She has various options of readings, depending on what you are looking for, but with each one she gives you information that remains relevant for months to come. The way I describe it is my personalized astrological encyclopedia, complete with important dates, important planetary shifts, etc. that I am able to go back to and reference. Britten is meticulous in her work and her passion shines through. I would recommend her to anyone!

A perfect spot to get a little culture in between meals. Honestly, a must hit for out of town visitors looking for something fun to do that does not involve eating. Be sure to hit the gift store too, a museum gift shop is usually well curated, and this one is no exception! (though I will say the lady working the store had a sh:tty attitude)

The DMA has a supporter membership for $120. It includes parking which would cost you $20 otherwise. You also get two free admission tickets that you can use to view the museum's collections or any special exhibitions each and every day of the year. The membership will also provide a discount at the museum store and in the snack bar. Visit twice during the year, and the membership more than pays for itself. You can buy your membership online, print the receipt, and show it for free parking. Once inside the venue, show the receipt at the check-in desk to get your free tickets to the special exhibit(s). Your DMA cards will be mailed to you in four weeks, in the mean time, use that printed receipt for everything. We renewed our membership this weekend April 2026 and went to see the Samurai Collection. Metalwork is not a favorite of mine, but I was still fascinated by the stories presented on the placards throughout the exhibit and I certainly appreciated the beautiful, intricate craftsmanship presented in each piece. I didn't realize that the Samurai swords and armor had been banned from production in Japan, so the metal workers pivoted and learned to become artisans. They started to make and repair metal embellishments, lanterns, and incense burners for the numerous temples in the country. Many of the items in this collection were from Kyoto and Nara, both places my husband and I visited in November 2009. The full body armor was fascinating. Little pieces of leather were coated in metal, painted, and woven tightly together to form a moveable, but protective layer over the body. The workmanship was exquisite. The exhibit had a few short videos you could watch to learn about the work. I especially liked the 30 second clip about the process of making cloisonné. These vases are beautiful and the process to make each one is detailed and meticulous. Kids could collect a postcard-sized scavenger hunt near the entrance and use that to stay in engaged throughout the visit. At the end, there was a sign on the wall with the answer key pictures showing which art pieces help the intricate designs they were looking for. The DMA has a permanent collection that includes a variety of art from around the globe, as well as multiple special exhibits throughout the year. Everyone is bound to find something that delights them and inspires conversation and wonder. Worth a visit!

I scheduled a reading with Shree after a friend was extremely happy with the accuracy of her reading. I have been to a few psychics and one western astrologist in my lifetime. I was very happy with the reading and surprised by the accuracy of the things that Shree said based on my chart. She was extremely thorough and knowledgeable and invited questions on anything. She new things from my chart about my past that surprised me. I definitely plan to continue to get readings from her. It was a much more thorough and accurate reading than any of the other types I've had before. I enjoyed it so much that I got each of my college-aged daughters a reading as a Christmas present. One is open to astrology, curious, but doesn't know much. The other daughter is just not a believer. I think the gallery was a fabulous size for the event and the various artists on display were so beautiful! Instantly, you'll arrive upon a quaint, bright, and modern gallery space filled with beautiful works of art. There are a variety of vivid and whimsical pieces that are sure to catch your attention. There are mostly abstract pieces, and some unique surreal pieces too. The medium used is mostly acrylic paints, which is a personal favorite of mine. Miss Ginger Fox herself doesn't pressure you or watch you while you view her gallery which is great. This little treasure trove of the Bishop Arts District is a must-see after grabbing some Eno's Pizza or Emporium Pies. There are some signs that say "No Pictures" though, so please be respectful to the artist. Pricing is in the thousands, but I think they're worth it. Every piece speaks for itself and is abstract enough to put anywhere in your residence. As an (amateur) artist myself, this gallery inspires me to experiment with more accidental, broad, and messy strokes. If in the area, you must peep through and get inspired yourself!
