Really enjoyed dining here in Zurich. The owner was friendly and welcoming. The place has a nice and cozy feel to it. Came here for dinner and had a great experience . We got reservations ahead of time and it was a good idea because the place gets busy. The menu has a nice selection of dishes and has lots of vegetarian options. We ordered the fresh spring rolls and the fried ones. Also the chicken satay, pad Thai, papaya salad, Panang curry , pad see eww, tiger prawn stir fry, and vegetable fried rice. Every dish was l freshly prepared and so flavorful. The food arrived quickly and the portion sizes were good. The service was great and I would totally go back here again. read more

This is our go-to spot whenever we're in Zurich. It's difficult to find really, really good Asian restaurants in Europe from what we're used to in Cali - and vee's bistro if one of the few that we'll always come back to. Met a friend for lunch at Vee's Bistro for the first time today. The restaurant is small but very nicely decorated and has a comfortable atmosphere. There's a weekly lunch special menu as well as the normal a la carte menu. I tried the yellow curry with Chicken and Jasmine rice from the lunch special menu and was pleasantly surprised. The taste is not as pungent as what I am used to but the flavor is very delicate and authentic. It was a little bit difficult getting the waiter's attention as the restaurant was packed at prime lunch time but they were attentive once we do manage to get their attention. Glad we made a reservation for a table ahead of time. One suggestion for improvement for the restaurant would be to brew their own house tea instead of serving up tea bags to add more authenticity to the experience. read more

Vee's is a very nice place with good food and a usually quick service. It tends to get packed at lunch (a good sign), so book ahead. Three daily lunch menu options, a set business lunch -but still with a lot of flexibility - round off a pleasant experience. Prices are in line with lunch offers at other places, the food is of good quality and well prepared. Recommended! read more

The reservation was for 9 pm, we got there exactly on time. But as soon as we stepped in the waiter tried to get rid of us and then reluctantly let us in and told us we had to order in ten minutes because the kitchen was closing (even though the restaurant closes only at 10 pm). He then rushed us through our meal which was ordinary at best. The Tom Kha soup had large pieces of flavorless, over-boiled chicken which had clearly been dumped in at the last minute and halves of raw mushrooms. My husbands Pad Thai was too sour and not great tasting either. Overall a bad experience, would not recommend it. read more

Good Thai food and easily the best Asian restaurant in Enge. Unlike most Asian restaurants in Zürich, Vee's does not serve a hodgepodge of Asian cuisine. Instead, they specialize in Thai, which they do well especially with their curries and desserts. I particularly recommend the fried banana with ice cream and honey dessert. read more

The restaurant is very small but is nicely decorated. The food was very good. The server could have been more attentive though. I recommend to take sticky rice with mango as a dessert. It was delicious! Not recommended for groups as the place is very small. read more

Went there for dinner yesterday, 3 people. We had Papaya salad and green and red curry. Everything we tried was very good. We are quite picky when it comes to Thai food as everywhere you go, it tastes a bit different. But all was just nicely cooked and prepared. There was a lot of meat in the curry (in some places you get like 4 small pieces of meat in it) and also the timing was also very good. I will certainly go there again. read more

I went to this place yesterday and was hugely disappointed. The food is OK, but massively overpriced. I paid 26 CHF for a vegetarian curry (I didn't get a discount for asking to have this dish with veggies only, no tofu), 5 CHF for still water (no tap water available) - but the worst part was definitely the dessert. I ordered mango, without the sticky rice and coconut milk as advertised on the menu for 12 CHF. I was expecting to get a full mango for maybe 2/3 of the price, but I was charged 12 CHF for not even 1/5 of a normal mango. I'm very disappointed and will definitely not go back. read more

The food was "ok", but they have a VERY bad policy for ordering items that are not on the standard lunch menu. I ordered a Massaman Curry and was charged arounds 12CHF over the normal price of a meal, because it was not on the standard luch menu. However the staff did not warn me of this, and it was not also written anywhere that this is what the policy is. The staff must warn people that expensive extra charges are given for items off the menu they they can decide for themselves if they want to pay the extra "fine"! Things like this can give a restaurant a bad reputation, and I am very active with online reviews. Because of this I will not be going back, and my colleagues also said the same. Shame. read more

The food is delicious, one of my new favorite restaurants in the world! The "pork parcel" appetizers were slightly rubbery from the shrimp, but the pastry they are wrapped in is delicate and tasty. The roti which is served as a side dish or with the beef tenderloin curry is as delicious as any I've eaten in Singapore or Thailand. It has many layers and it's buttery and just salty enough - a perfect "scoop" for the curry which has depth of flavor. I'd like it to be a little more spicy, but that's just me. The chicken with basil is sweet, savory, salty and delicious. The beef short ribs were tender but not over-cooked. The mango with sticky rice was sweet but not overly sweet and perfect. The meal was as good as any we've eaten in Thailand! Can't wait to go back. read more
