I love this shop. They have an awesome selection of Vegan food supplies. The one thing I don't love is the prices. Why is Vegan food so expensive? Seriously...we're facing a Climate Emergency. People say that the best way to fight Climate Change would be for everyone to go Vegan. Well if being Vegan is what it would take to save our planet, then please...make it more affordable for people to be vegan! I bought about $50 worth of goods from here during Boxing Week. Many of the items I bought were instant Ramen noodles. Later that same day, I found some of the very same noodles I had just bought for a cheaper price at Superstore! Yup...a "Roblaws" store was selling plant based ramen noodles for cheaper than the Boxing Week special at Vegan Supply Shop. Slightly annoyed. Emphasis on the word "slightly". I do believe in supporting small businesses and aside from the one brand of Ramen noodle that I found cheaper at Superstore, I am pretty sure everything else I bought from Vegan Supply Shop, I would not have been able to find at Superstore. read more

Amazing vegan grocery store. They have so much variety of pantry goods, candy, frozen foods, and more. I've never seen so many options for vegans. I ended up getting some candy on sale and was not disappointed! The textures of the gummy bears were so good, and the marshmallows were the best I've ever had. Shows the quality of goods they sell! There's a good selection of food here including some gluten free items. I came here for an event but found it was too crowded to really look around since the space is pretty tight but I'll probably come back again when there's not too much people traffic and I have more time to look around since my cousin is vegetarian and I'm sure I can find something for her here. I'm personally not but sometimes I can find certain items I can use for specific recipes in specialty stores like these. I found the cashier that I interacted with was quite friendly as well so my only issue was the space as I tend to get quite claustrophobic at times. I meant to post this review about 4 months ago and here I am finishing up the review. Great shop, everything they sell is Vegan so you don't have to sift through to be certain. Lovely customer service. We were greeted by the management team, got a tour around the store and learned about best sellers. I haven't had a chance to return yet but would love to try the vegan bacon made locally in Vancouver with jackfruit. There is also skincare, bath and body products as well as some supplements. A great location in the heart of Chinatown. They're located between Main & Gore. I found my nutritional yeast which were available in two sizes. They offer a good variety of products at reasonable prices. A vegan shopper's paradise. They even had some food sampling. Nice ambiance with good service. read more

Maybe half of store might be things I have never seen. I was interested in the vegan jerky mostly. Especially summertime, I have hard time to sit next friends who have normal beef jerky and beer. Best vegan grocery store so far! This place has a completely different feel than grocery shopping anywhere else. There are clothes and toiletries to your right after entering. A bit odd and seems misplaced. Then you get to the good part - the food! They have a great selection of plant based dairy, frozen foods. Wish they had more freshly prepared food, deli style. This is a funky little dry goods store that has many vegan cheeses, foodies, snacks, novelties , shirts but unfortunately no fresh foods. It is a good place to find frozen tofu , beyond meat and many non-perishable items. You can also buy facial products, natural deodorants and essential body mists. It's a mush mosh of alternative items just wish they hand more perishable food or fresh juices to give it that live feel. They have a modest selection of eco-friendly shirts, some sizes go up to 2xl and handbags. If you're a new vegan you'll probably love it here and if your a vet you will enjoy the fact you have one spot that has a lot of stuff in ooze location. read more

So much to say about this place! I am so F-ing thrilled! And, where have you been all my life? And, thank you for coming to Vancouver, finally! Tucked away on Main and Pender, this smallish store packs in a ton of products. All vegan, many GF products at competitive prices. My first trip here, literally 10 minutes ago, lasted 30 minutes. I'm in awe of all the amazing products they have. I bought soy curls (a fantasy I've heard about but have only dreamed of), Earth Balance white cheese puffs AND cheddar kettle chips (thanks Whole Foods for not getting this product and saving me the trip), Kate Hill chive and garlic cream cheese (literally what dreams are made of), and Vio Life smoked provolone slices (parm was sold out in a hot minute). This came to $47 which is comparable to Whole Foods, minus the crazy. They also sample so many products (think Costco). The staff were all so lovely and helpful! I cannot wait to come back and bring my friends! read more

This is a great new addition for the vegan and non vegan folks! Vancouver has been in a dire need of the one place where you can get all your vegan groceries under one roof, and its here! ! You can find things from vegan eco friendly cleaning supplies to groceries. It's not a big space, but they are surprisingly well stocked. This trip I bought some vegan nutella, sweet and sour chips, vegan eggs, scallops and korean bbq chicken, and vegan jerky. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I will shop here often. Love this place - 100% vegan, gluten free friendly, and many brands and products are not carried anywhere else! If you have a product you are interested in but not sure if they carry (you can check online), you may email or message them and they will get back to you very soon about your query. I really appreciate this! They carry a number of delicious vegan chocolates, as well as baking mixes and vegan ice creams. I'm happy to know there is a dedicated store for vegans. I'm not a fan of Chinatown so I'm not sure how much I'll be coming back. It's a small store but full of stuff. I came looking for cheeses. Found some "Gouda" and noodles made from chickpeas. I'm not gonna lie. Both were pretty gross. BUT that's cuz I'm a vegan noobie. The store had nothing to do with those making those products. As a vegan, I am really excited to see the very first brick and mortar vegan store. You can find pretty much anything there from "fysh sauce" to "no whey" candy and awesome pins. The staff is friendly and helpful. I also think it is handy to select your items online and pick them up at the store later on. The only downside is the price range. A lot of items are more expensive than at chain stores like Whole Foods. However, I understand that I am also paying Vegan Supply for the convenience of having unique products in one place. You cannot really compare them to a large retailer. I hope that Vegan Supply is here to stay and that with time the prices will adjust as they get more established. read more

Watch out for expired products when picking up online orders. It's happened to my twice where I've gotten home to find cheeses and veg eggs expired. When emailed company they did nothing and suggested I eat it if it looks ok. No discount for future orders or even an apology. read more

Sorry to be the first negative review but I'm all about service - vegan or not. So no stars for service and the stars I have given are solely for selection. I went in on a Saturday, early in the afternoon. There were people offering samples of their products. These are people who come in to demonstrate their own items but there was also a staff member sampling 'cheeses'. She offered cheese to a family standing beside me( not in front of me). And then promptly walked off even though I was plainly standing right there. This was not a question of whether she saw me, we made eye contact. So I thought maybe she needed to refill but then she walked behind me for a while and then offered a sample to another woman. So she had not one, but two opportunities to offer me a simple and ignored me both times. I approached the front needing help looking for an item which turned out to be out of stock. No explanation of when it will be in and no follow up offered. Just "sorry it's not in" and then walked off. Won't be back! read more

While Whole Foods offers vegan choices the vegan supply store is all vegan. They have done the job of sourcing vegan products so that you don't have to. There is lots of pantry food choices, some vegan cookbooks and a small fresh vegan food bar. Why doesn't Toronto have a similar store? When I get to Vancouver again I look forward to returning to the vegan supply store. There really should be one in Toronto, hint, hint :D read more

There's a huge choice of many products such as vegan cheese, ice cream, "beef" jerky, etc. Much like a standard supermarket, there are lots and lots of choices.
