I rented a vehicle and hired a helper. After a 30 minute drive, we arrived at Ann and Decatur and texted her for the exact address - as per her instructions. She saw the message, but didn't answer. A few more texts and she finally responded that she had been called into work. The following morning, I attempted to buy the furniture again. She said her husband had sold it. Between sorting through years of belongings, figuring out what things were worth, organizing everything, advertising the sale, and dealing with hundreds of people coming through the property, it quickly became obvious that this was something we could not have handled properly on our own. From the beginning, the team at My Estate to Liquidate was professional, knowledgeable, and very straightforward with us about the entire process. They explained what to expect, answered our questions, and gave us realistic expectations instead of making a bunch of promises just to get our business. That was something we really appreciated. Once they started working on the house, we were impressed by how much they took care of. They went through an overwhelming amount of stuff, organized everything into categories, researched and priced items, staged the home, and turned what looked like complete chaos to us into an actual estate sale. There were even several things we would have assumed were basically worthless that their team recognized as having value. The sale itself was extremely busy, and their staff handled it very well. They were friendly with customers while still keeping everything organized and under control. You could tell this wasn't their first time doing this. They knew how to negotiate with buyers without just giving everything away, and they kept things moving even when the house was packed with people. What impressed us the most was how much stress they took off our shoulders. An estate sale can be emotional, especially when you're dealing with a family member's belongings or clearing out a home that has decades of memories in it. Having someone else handle the business side of everything made the situation so much easier for our family. We also appreciated that they understood the goal wasn't just to put price tags on things--it was to actually get the house cleared while recovering as much value as realistically possible. By the end of the sale, we were shocked at how much merchandise had moved. If you've never dealt with an estate before, don't underestimate how much work goes into doing this correctly. I finally gave up and went inside to find out what was going on. I was told that the guy who had come out to check me in had told everyone else that he was working on my order. Then, the guy I was talking to had to take my phone number again (bcs the check-in guy had NOT been working on my order after all, which the guy admitted to me.) I was assured that my order would come out soon. So I went back out. And waited. And watched more people arrive & leave. I spoke with the manager & she told me that the check-in guy had said my car was empty & he thought I'd gone for a walk. (So first off, his story had changed.) So according to him, I'd been wandering around- in the rain??? For over an hour??? No, he was lying- I'd stayed in my car the whole time. And I'd seen him looking at me when he came out. I arrived around 1:45. And I was finally able to leave after 3! For a 14 piece order! My wasted time is worth more than the deals I got. I'd already had issues with this location bcs the last time I checked, they couldn't do any returns. Even when it was for an item that I'd just picked up from them 2 minutes ago- hadn't even driven away yet, and it was missing the pieces that would make the whole thing work (& in the description, it had not said it was missing anything). This clinched my opinion of this place

What a terrible woman running this company. I went to her estate sale on 9/26/25 and it was one of…read morethe worst experiences I've ever had. I asked the price of an unmarked item, and she told me I'd have to "come back later" because it was being sold as a set -- yet she couldn't even provide the price for the set. When I said I wouldn't be back (a little snippy, sure), she acted like that was a huge offense. Later, I asked if she knew the size of a bed frame (full or queen). She didn't know, and then randomly asked if I had been to her sales before. I said maybe, but I just go to sales listed on estatesales.net and didn't even know the name of her company. When I came back downstairs, she suddenly asked my name. After I told her, she pulled up some old 8-year-old Google review from a person with a similar name (review was from Nicols Doll) and started accusing me of being that person and writing the bad review. I told her over and over it wasn't me, but she kept confronting me aggressively -- even following me into the garage to continue yelling. I finally blew up at her and walked out, but she chased me outside, screaming that I'm "banned from her sales" and now she "knows what I look like." Other shoppers witnessed the whole thing, and several walked out. One woman even pulled me aside afterward and told me she's seen this same nasty behavior from this woman at other sales. This woman is odious, unprofessional, and downright unstable. She needs to get her hormones checked and find some medication because no professional business owner should treat people this way. I wish I could give this review 0 stars. Please proceed with caution attending any sales by this company.
