Beyond the core experience--friendly, knowledgeable staff and unbeatable starting bids--their commitment to customer satisfaction shines through in every detail. First, their online platform is a breeze. The website loads quickly, with high-resolution images, detailed condition reports, and zoomable views that let you inspect items as closely as if you were standing right in front of them. I love building my watch list weeks before the auction, then getting real-time notifications when bidding heats up. Their mobile app even lets me bid from my car between errands, so I never miss out on a coveted lot. In person, preview nights are a highlight. The auction house opens its doors a day early so you can wander the warehouse, handle items, and ask questions one-on-one with the specialists. I once got a deep dive into a vintage clock's provenance from the firearms expert during a lull in the gun auction--it felt like a private consultation. Payment and pickup are equally seamless. You can pay online and choose home shipping (packed securely in branded boxes), local curbside pickup, or an in-house packing service that wraps fragile glass and china with museum-grade care. I've used every option, and each time my purchases arrive scratch-free and ready to display. The monthly gun auctions deserve their own praise. Unlike loud, intimidating venues, McManus manages each firearm with professionalism and strict adherence to regulations. Background checks are handled discreetly, and the staff guides you through paperwork without making you feel rushed or embarrassed. For collectors and hunters alike, that peace of mind is priceless. They also host specialty sales--Asian art, mid-century furniture, vintage toys--that rotate throughout the year. I've discovered everything from a rare hand-painted vase to a mint condition Star Wars action figure at these themed events. Watching the gavel drop, whether online or live, is still a thrill. Finally, McManus Auction House feels deeply rooted in our community. They regularly partner with local charities for benefit auctions, and you can feel their genuine enthusiasm for giving back. I've chatted with staff who volunteer at fundraisers and seen unsold lots donated to nonprofit drives, which makes me proud to spend my dollars there. All told, McManus Auction House combines cutting-edge technology, inviting in-person events, transparent processes, and a warm, community-focused spirit. If you're tired of faceless online marketplaces or overpriced estate auctions, give McManus a try--you'll find treasures, fair prices, and people who truly care about your bidding experience. I know I won't be going anywhere else.

Ordering/paying online, scheduling a pick up, the pick up process, and return process are all well done and all easy to do. There have been times when I have gone to pick up my items and when I parked a worker was immediately there to help me before I could even scan the QR code to check in on the sign; awesome service. There has been a few items that were not inspected that I have purchased in the past and were damaged or missing pieces, even though they were marked as a 5 star on the auction and with no damage. That has been my only deal breaker part of the experience. But other than that, I have gotten some great finds and have really found value in this place.

They are still operating out of Reno, as I still get solicitations from them for that auction, but not for Las Vegas. Very strange that they won't respond. You are able to go in person on Friday to view all items prior to bidding that weekend. A few weeks ago, I purchased $1400 worth of products and wasn't able to pick up on the pick up days Monday or Tuesday so I called and they let me pick up on Friday. One of the items were too large to fit in my car so they held it another week until I could find a vehicle to pick it up. They offered to tie it to the top of my vehicle and wrap it but I didn't think that was a great idea for a 75 inch tv traveling across town, LOL. They even offered to deliver it across town if I paid for the gas. I declined since I had to return items anyway. 2 of the 7 items in my last purchase were unsatisfactory, wrong keys to a lock and blender motor sounded like it was going out- they returned them without any issues and refunded my card. Items below $20 get store credit. All in all, friendly group of guys anytime I've needed assistance. I will continue to purchase from this place and plan on taking advantage of the viewing day to check out items prior to bidding.

I finally gave up and went inside to find out what was going on. I was told that the guy who had come out to check me in had told everyone else that he was working on my order. Then, the guy I was talking to had to take my phone number again (bcs the check-in guy had NOT been working on my order after all, which the guy admitted to me.) I was assured that my order would come out soon. So I went back out. And waited. And watched more people arrive & leave. I spoke with the manager & she told me that the check-in guy had said my car was empty & he thought I'd gone for a walk. (So first off, his story had changed.) So according to him, I'd been wandering around- in the rain??? For over an hour??? No, he was lying- I'd stayed in my car the whole time. And I'd seen him looking at me when he came out. I arrived around 1:45. And I was finally able to leave after 3! For a 14 piece order! My wasted time is worth more than the deals I got. I'd already had issues with this location bcs the last time I checked, they couldn't do any returns. Even when it was for an item that I'd just picked up from them 2 minutes ago- hadn't even driven away yet, and it was missing the pieces that would make the whole thing work (& in the description, it had not said it was missing anything). This clinched my opinion of this place

First of all the descriptions are not accurate 75 percent of the time. Second of all the estimated…read moreretail price is inflated and in a lot of cases you're paying close to retail and sometimes more than retail. Third if you change your mind during the auction there is no way to remove your bid or cancel it so you are forced to drive there and pay and pick it up. Otherwise they charge you a cancellation fee and it hangs on the account indefinitely. Also you may think your buying stuff at one location then find it's spread out amount 3 different locations which means you may have to drive 40 miles round trip to pick up your 2 dollar item Next you get an item home and have to assemble it right away or if you don't and you think it has all the parts because they said no missing parts you could be surprised that a part needed is actually missing and you have to go buy it or make it and since you only have 7 days to return anything you could be stuck with something worthless and not have time to return it. The auction is fun but you can get carried away and waist time and money and be disappointed frequently. Good luck everybody

... absolutely BEYOND EXPECTATIONS!!! Let me explain: We've…read moreall learned that when something is too good to be true, it just might be. While doing some routine online shopping, I discovered some extremely well priced "925 SOLID STERLING SILVER MEN'S CUBAN NECKLACES" on the website of one of the 10 top retailers in America. They were handsome. They were underpriced. ... and I assumed (wrongly) that the inventory prices might be lagging the price increases in precious metals, (ahem!), so I purchased a few in different lengths and waited for my (explicitly stated) FREE DELIVERY. When they arrived, my husband and I marveled at their weight and handsome mirror finish. They were all stamped 925. My husband sells on eBay and we discussed ordering some more, holding them and potentially reselling them there if/when the price of silver continued to increase. In other words, we invested in them thinking we had spotted an opportunity. We ordered MORE. He researched other similar items on eBay and the prices already were much more expensive and proposed listing one to test the market. At this point I must have felt some sense of caution because I decided that I personally didn't want to sell anything that I wasn't 100% sure about... but I didn't know HOW could I be sure without potentially damaging the necklace. I asked AI where to test sterling in Las Vegas and on 1/29/25, I called Nevada Coin & Jewelry feeling uncomfortable because I had no interest in buying anything. I spoke to Laura and she was warm and gracious while explaining that they had equipment that could assess the exact metallic composition of an item without harming it. Within an hour I was THERE. Laura took me to a private booth where nobody could hear me or look over my shoulder and evaluated three items including one necklace. (FREE!) She didn't make me feel stupid. She allowed me to photograph the screen that displayed the instantaneous analysis. Guess what? My big box major retailer product, listed, sold, packaged and marked as 925 sterling turned out to be: 90%+ copper. Soooooo, What's next? A whole can of worms as my dad would have said. I'm holding a few hundred dollars worth of garbage that needs time and work to obtain a refund and apology (?) for fraud and online misrepresentation. Trust me, I don't believe that this major retailer with a good reputation will want to ignore this type of threat to their good will with the public. But as a former corporate person in both product development and marketing, it's hard to believe they didn't do more testing themselves. When I do resolve this issue and am made whole for my purchases AND my time and inconvenience, I will return to this review and post the outcome story. PLEASE tell Nevada Coin & Jewelry that you saw this and say "hi" to Laura for ME!!! Thank you LAURA!!!

I also had a few very nice rings that I wasn't going to bring out right at the beginning. I had a project on Yelp and made it pretty clear that I was looking to resell a ring. I was trying to find an actual jewelry store that purchases rings, not a pawn shop type of place that gets rid of the diamonds and melts the gold down for weight. Basically that's exactly who these guys turned out to be. The person who spoke to me was rude and supercilious right from the beginning, not very pleasant. He barely even had a chance to take a glance at my ring when he said "very generic". Didn't bother to get out a loupe and look at the diamonds, wasn't interested in really discussing anything. Huge turn off! I think I'd have a much better experience at a pawn shop than at this place. I wouldn't recommend that anyone go here for anything. Take your money to a different jewelry store that might appreciate your business.
