This is a tailor shop that does amazing work on all types of clothing. As a former military Marine and now a civilian I recommend this for your uniform tailoring needs and also for civilian tailoring needs. Vegas tailor shop has already done tailoring for my wife and for civilian clothes that I have especially a Levi's jacket. When they tailored my jacket to my body fit it was an amazing fit. It seems like it was store-bought right off the rack. A great experience I'm a satisfied customer and I would recommend this shop to both military and civilians who have to tailor their clothing. I don't need the services of a good tailor often, but I needed to get a suit hemmed before a flight the next day. A tailor I used previously was closed that day and wouldn't open till mid-morning the following day, which would not give me enough time before my flight. So I called Vega's Tailor shop and explained my situation. That I needed an emergency hem of my paints and that I could be there first thing in the morning. Not only did they accommodate me and get my hem turned around first thing that morning, they did so well in time for me to catch my flight! Not only that, they did an exceptional job on my pants. I have now used Vega's for about 4 or 5 different alterations jobs and each one has been outstanding. They are always helpful, normally quick, attentive, and have great attention to detail. They also back their work so if a seem or hem falls out they'll fix it. No questions asked. The only negative that I have is that they are a little on the pricey side. However I guess if you are one of the only shows in town and do a good then you can set your prices where you want. Lastly, if you need to get your clothes fixed up or an old suit altered because you lost or gained weight then I highly recommend this place. The suit stores in town also recommend Vega's unless you bought your suit specifically from that store. read more

Checked out Mrs. Vega after my friend's mom recommended her for our bridesmaid dress alterations. She is really amazing. I went in with my mom for the 2nd time today and she made the top fit me perfectly. She is super caring and you can tell she enjoys what she does. Beyond disappointed with the service and outcome of my dress. I came in to get a dress altered for an upcoming wedding. This shop was recommended by a family friend, and I had high expectations based on the reviews. When I walked in the lady was very rude and did not let me finish telling her what I wanted. When I tried on the dress and told her exactly what I wanted, she told me that she would try her best to make it as even as possible and fit to my figure. However, she kept pinning the dress incorrectly despite me telling her multiple times how I wanted it done (trimming the bottom,tightening the shoulders, and pinning the chest for better coverage). I told her that it was okay if she couldn't do what I would like but that I would take it elsewhere, and she then proceeded to set the pins how I wanted them. Towards the end of the first interaction she set a date and time on when to come back. When I came back on said date and time a few days later, she hadn't even started tailoring the dress and told me that it was not ready. I explained that I lived a bit far away, but she told me to go back home and said she would give me a call within the hour to let me know it was ready. After and hour and a half, I finally called and she said it would be ready by the time that I got there. When I got there and tried it on, I was really disappointed in the way it turned out. The chest area was droopy, the shoulders were loose, and the length looks as though it hadn't been touched. I addressed my concerns with her again but she didn't fix anything. Instead, I told her that I would have to safety pin it at home and she ended up safety pinning the bottom instead of tailoring it. If I knew she couldn't provide the service, then I wouldn't have paid for something I didn't want. I intentionally took my dress to the tailor a few weeks in advance so I could get it done how I wanted, yet her work was definitely rushed and utterly disappointing. Wouldn't recommend if you want quality service. read more

When I walked in the little old lady who I'm assuming is Vega was sitting and sewing. A young man came from the back to see what I wanted. Do you think she even looked in my direction to say hello or welcome? You guessed right, hell to the no she didn't. Next thing I know he referred me to her and I showed her three dresses and explained what I wanted. First thing out of her mouth was "that's expensive." Um excuse me grandma but I don't think I asked you what the price was or whether or not it was expensive. I know good and got damn well it cost more money for me to get a dress tailored. Clearly I'm not broke if my ass is standing right in front of you looking to get it done. Stay out of my wallet and just say that you don't want to do it or that you can't. I took my dresses and walked right out of there. I never got what I needed which was lining. I just decided to wear the dresses just as they are see through showing everything. I'm getting older so I don't give a damn anymore. read more

I wanna say thank you! My daughter competes in dance. One of her costumes rubbed her shoulders that gave her a rash. I thought I would just buy some soft fabric and sew it on. Wow was i in shock how hard it was to get thru the fabric. I was in a panic, it was 2pm and we were heading out of town around 11am the next morning for a competition. If I could give this business 10 stars I would! My son who is a freshman in High school joined the ROTC program. He was given a uniform which had to be altered to fit him with certain specifications. I obviously had no clue, but the gentleman and his mom did everything possible to make sure my kid got his uniform altered to meet the program's specific needs. The first set of trousers he was given by the school were way too big and so the lady recommended he get a smaller size. Having to exchange the pants set us behind a little and my kid was worried about not having the uniform ready on time to get extra credit. The gentleman who works there went out of his way to rush the alterations on the second set of pants and lifted the hem while we waited. Aside from their wonderful customer service, their attention to detail, and patience is outstanding! Needless to say my kid got his uniform on time and was very happy. I worked with Maria for alterations on my wedding dress, and she was amazing. She is so detail-oriented, patient, and the tailoring is impeccable... my dress had to be adjusted several times and included details like a belt which she carefully put together until it was perfect - it fit like a glove. I was particularly happy that she was able to fit my strapless top so that I wasn't pulling it up all night, but didn't end up with the "armpit squish" that so many poorly fit dresses cause! I also loved that she would make helpful suggestions, such as tacking down parts of the train so that it laid just right. The end result was perfect! Maria also tailored my mom's dress for our wedding, which was a tricky lacy material with 2 layers - and my mom (who is quite picky about her clothes) was so happy with her work as well.
