Recently I was able to return to them for my car insurance needs and it has been a great experience. They have saved my family time, money and a lot of aggravation just by being so great at what they do. When I went to talk to the owner about it he did not return my calls. The secretary took my information to process my payment but never processed it so the following year they wanted me to pay for both years. I wanted to talk again with the owner to see if he was willing to work something out because I didn't expect the double charge. The preparer calls me back to settle the issue and pay for just one of the years. Now this year I wanted to file again with them as they had done right i thought, but this year he hung up on me after he told me that the owner was angry with me for skipping a payment. I really wanted to give my business back however when they first quoted my today it was $125 cheaper then when the rude preparer got on the phone along with somehow never being able to talk to the owner, I am done with their chaivinistic attitude and good luck in life for being so rude.

When I moved from Massachusetts and was looking for a bank, I was referred to Woodsboro Bank by my…read moremother-in-law who has been a long time account holder. I opened a personal checking account (at the East St. Location) and was so pleased with the personal service as well as the fact that I wasn't charged for every little thing. Something that I had issues with at my former, larger chain, bank. I have been with Woodsboro for 2 years now, and until this morning I had no complaints. When initially I opened my personal checking account, and then my joint checking account with my (now) wife, to save for our wedding I was once again pleased that we were not charged for every little thing, including our checks. Last week I realized that I was running low on checks so when I stopped in to make my deposit, I requested 1 box of checks to be ordered for our joint account. After the deposit was complete, the teller said "You're all set ma'am." I asked "And the checks?" she told me that they would be mailed to my home within a few weeks. I was never at any point told that I would be charged for the checks. I figured great, another added bonus for Woodsboro - they don't charge their customers for new checks. Imagine my surprise when I opened my online portal this morning to see that in fact I was charged for my checks. $34.65 for one box of checks!! I was utterly flabbergasted. Not once had I been told that I would be charged for checks. There was no signage anywhere stating the outrageous price of one box of checks. I am someone that has, until recently, always done all of monetary transactions online so I have never ordered checks before. I assumed that since my initial boxes of checks had been free that it was an excellent service provided by Woodsboro. When I called the customer service number to ask about the charge and see what can be done to refund the money, the woman I spoke with, in the nicest way possible, basically told me there was absolutely nothing that could be done. Her only offer of assistance was to make the manager of that location aware of the situation. Not only am I a multiple account holder, but so is my mother in law and my wife.... I would hate to have to take our families numerous accounts away from Woodsboro, but I will certainly be thinking twice before opening another account and/or recommending this bank to a friend/family member.
