Garfield is my idol: I love eating, sleeping and sarcastic comments. So a work-out is my idea of hell. However, as I heard many friends racing about Soulcycle and other similar cycling classes I decided to try out Velocity during a rare health kick. I was a bit intimidated at first because most people looked like they just walked out of a Lululemon catalog but WOW! This class is amazing, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and even though I wanted to give up every two seconds somehow the teacher managed to convince me to push through for 50 mins. I know I shouldn't but I love the fact that all classes are given in flawless English! Also, not only the locker/changing/bathroom are squeaky clean (which is a must for me), they offer super nice toiletries in the showers. Any place who manages me to convince to work out more than two times in a row deserves five stars! read more

Every time I travel away from home, I check if there is a cycle studio near where I am staying. Had a great time at Velocity and clean amenities. Overall cycle class was good and you will get a workout. But if you are used to Flywheel or Soulcycle vibes/speed, Velocity from my experience is not difficult. I would go back again if I was in the city to get a quick workout if I didn't want to go to a hotel gym. But if I was to decide if I should buy a package of classes, I would not recommend. Other than the classes not being that hard, the cycle room wasn't up to the caliber of other high end studios for the price. read more

I absolutely loved Velocity! I was in Zurich for a week-long trip, needed to get my spin fix away from home, and decided to try Velocity. I went the velobeat class first - which was awesome - the instructor had a great motivating playlist. I went back again later in the week to try veloburn, which was quite hard but felt amazing afterwards. I regularly go to SoulCycle and FlyWheel in NYC, and wish they would adopt some of the things Velocity does - like the cold scented towels and fresh juices for right after your ride. The woman behind the front desk was extremely helpful and nice! The class was a nice workout (Cait was the instructor), high resistance and a fairly quick pace. There was also an arms song which is always appreciated. The cold towel at the end of the class was a welcome surprise. AWESOME class! I was in Zurich visiting a friend for a couple days and she brought me to her favorite Velobeat class. I LOVED it. As someone who has only been to a couple spin classes in the US, I was nervous at first, but the staff was really helpful and nice.. not intimidating at all. I've lived in Zurich for 2 years and was ecstatic when Velocity opened. It is my go-to for a cardio workout. The classes are consistently challenging and fun with super fun music that keeps me motivated. The studio itself is clean and I love showering in their locker rooms before I have to get to work. They even sell fresh squeezed juices and really cute workout clothes, its hard to leave without browsing. Velocity keeps me coming back again and again. read more
