Yesterday, I booked a technician to repair my AC. I called, they never send me a confirmation by…read moreemail or text. They said they are having trouble with the emails. Anyway, the technician should be coming today between 3 pm to 5 pm. Since I am not home, working at the hospital. I arranged my boyfriend to come at 3 pm for me. The technician showed up at 1:30 pm, no one is home and he gets mad me for not being home. I had to explain my arrangement, and he refuses to come back at 3 pm. I called the office, the dispatcher was very rude, she tells me she cannot send a technician during a time slot chosen... it depends where the technician is, then I ask why didn't you tell me this yesterday. She making all kinds of excuses that didn't make any sense. I asked her to transfer me to the manager. She refused. I cannot believe what a horrible service they gave me. I wonder if the reviews on the site are real or paid. I wish there was an action taken by the management for the technician and the dispatcher.

The technician came, stayed for 15 minutes or so and simply told me the whole system needs replacement. His diagnostic didn't provide voltages test, whether the indoor motor fan or control board needed replacement. All he wrote was that he was unable to take measurement and that it 'looks' like there are multiple problems. Trying to sell me a new system that's twice what I paid 10 years ago. I regret ever calling them!

They installed a Dual Start capacitator for $225.00 and added 2 units of refridgerant for $170.00. My total bill was $1,143.94. A week later the air conditioner stopped working again. I called JCD to tell them and said that as they had just been there I shouldn't have to pay for the residential call again. They refused and said that it was probably a 'different' problem than the one they had repaired. I was not willing to spend another $400. on a company that would not guarantee their repairs, especially after only a week. I think this company overcharges and is dishonest. Stay away from them at all costs.
