Worst company! I booked appointments for my children's only after learning that my insurance company will fully cover. But Vendetti charged for a cancellation, even after I emailed the doctor indicating my son had to be taken to an ER for mental health issues, and for my younger son, they have charged for afterhours appointment, which they never mentioned that they will charge extra. It is a horrible company, money hungry, and greedy, and they hide important, this company should be blacklisted, and the counselors have to move, as they are good. read more

The basis of this review is solely on the billing and customer service Vendetti has provided me, not the care I have been receiving from my therapist. I came to Vendetti in April, 2024, having followed my therapist from another practice. The hourly rate was $150. On January 2, 2025, the rate increased to $195. I was provided no notice and no explanation. With the next and subsequent visits, 3 additional fees were added ($70, $55, $95) with no notice and no explanation. In the span of 3 weeks, the session fee plus the addition of these other unknown fees resulted in a total of $415, which is an increase of $265, or 64%. I have been trying since February (when I became aware of the increase) to get an explanation. I spoke and left 3 messages with the billing clerk, for the Director of Billing to call back, as she was not available. The Director did not return those calls. After my therapist's intervention with her boss and the owner of the practice, the Director finally called back on June 13 (5 months later). I unfortunately was not in a position to speak at that time. Since then, I have repeatedly called the Director (2 times a week from June 24 to August 15, totaling 17 calls) and left many messages for a return call, which I never got (see update below). If not for my therapist, I would leave and seek counseling elsewhere. Vendetti management and the owner (who is well aware of the situation and has made no effort to contact me herself) have made quite clear how disinterested they are in their patients. Do yourself a favor. Get your mental health care elsewhere. Don't burden yourself with having to deal with other issues like billing and being ignored on top of everything else you're dealing with. It is evident the people at the top could not care less. And one other question I would offer is why these people are unwilling to supply an explanation for the hefty increase in fees and lack of notification. Update: On Friday, September 19, I received a call from someone in the billing department. She said the owner of Vendetti asked her to call me (why didn't the owner call me herself??) to tell me the Director of Billing would be calling on Monday, September 22. She did call but I missed it. I called her on Tuesday, September 23 and spoke with the same person who had called me on Friday. She said the Director was on another call but would call me back asap. I have found this practice to be very professional. The administration staff is first rate and very patient and understanding (hats off to Caramia). I have not experienced any issues with the billing department, and my card has never been overcharged. I would recommend this practice to anyone in need of counseling. Would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE. First off - what they don't tell you is you need a credit card on file. And that's not for what other doctors might utilize it for - i.e. if you miss an appointment- you'll be charged on the card so they don't have to chase after you, they literally bill every visit to your credit card and you won't know that until AFTER your first visit. You can not pay by cash or check. Makes you wonder why? Secondly - as with my own provider Cristin P. - she conveyed to me that she was told to charge a certain rate for me. For FIVE MONTHS I've been seeing her, that's the rate being pulled out of my credit card weekly. Then today I get a bill that evidently was the difference from what my insurance decided to pay and what Cristin told me I was responsible for. The copy and paste job of that Email shows billing telling Cristin she shouldn't have been charging me the rate she was - it was supposed to be higher, so that's why I received a 5 month lump sum bill for the difference in what I was told to pay by Cristin - and what I should have been paying per billing. Billing blames it on Cristin / Cristin states she was "told" by someone (she won't say who) to charge me the amount she had been. They took no responsibility/accountability. - I've never had any dr where you were charged a rate - they messed up on it, and then 5 months after the fact- hit you with a lump sum bill for the difference bc they couldn't decide what was the right rate. So be prepared to be hit with a big bill after a while of going- they won't eat their own mistake. Why? Bc they can't take accountability and before they will even see you they want your card on file to bill you when they see fit, and 2. They make you sign that paper that every dr does - that if insurance doesn't pay you're responsible. So they got you. Remember that. They are very shady imo. Lastly, they can't even give you a consistent time frame. Cristin again lied in the beginning and said she would find a time to get me in normally. But she never did. You're thrown into days and times she has available. So you'll never get a set time bc they don't have them. But they'll lie and say they do / just like they lied about the rate. Stay clear. Other professionals aren't going to do this to you. If they ever do make mistakes like that I'm sure they realize it and eat the cost not make you pay for their mistake literally half a year later. UPDATE::::: ****IF you also take a look at the owner's response**** NOW-she has copied and pasted this everywhere too to save face as her actual email yesterday to me on 2/29/20 she states she replied to reviews and now "she really wanted to know what was up via email." The only reason she was doing that was to show she was NOW reaching out so the public would know. Lisa Vendetti had and has no intention of correcting this and what I write below proves why. You might also want to listen to your vm from yesterday Lisa as my husband has had enough and you'll see who he's reaching out to. So please stop with the bogus emails and charade after you see reviews. LISA, as I stated, literally got her answer YET AGAIN in an email yesterday and she got an attachment. But her answers were already given 3 weeks ago too. How? She was called by me 3 weeks ago and I left voicemails wanting answers in writing from her. She blatantly ignored my calls. -But as someone in the wrong, that wants to save face publicly will do - continues on with her copy and paste to reviews with the same words verbatim EVEN AFTER she KNOWS what's wrong. DO NOT LET this place fool you. They did it to me on the three things I listed above in my initial review. She has NO intention of fixing anything, because fixing it would be taking responsibility for the incompetence of her employees who clearly can't figure out what to bill someone or catch any mistakes until 5 mos later and then telling you, you have to pay the back pay immediately. Lisa and Erin should have ate it. Haven't yet in 3 wks. The kicker as I stated, that makes her responses NOW that reviews are out "that she caught wind of" as she stated in her email to me yesterday absurd is : SHE also was CALLED TWICE to her ext on 2/10. I left two calls to her direct voicemail stating who I was - what went on, why does she allow all of this, and that I desired it in writing. Never got a letter back. But wow she's exceptionally good at writing responses now to pretend like she didn't know or cares. In 19 days she never responded. But she "suddenly" as her email states to me only just yesterday, catches wind of reviews, and she desires to rectify it? She KNEW what the issue was for almost 3 wks & blatantly ignored it. Thus her response below is yet just another EXAMPLE of how Lisa and her team, "pretend" like they care - when they were already told the problem & they won't fix it. I would not recommend Vendetti at all. The billing department is a nightmare. If you have a card on file, they will charge you even if you do not have a co-pay. Regarding the therapists, nothing is private. I received a list from one therapist with all of her clients information and "issues" that they have. The next therapist I had just canceled my appointment for no reason just because I didn't hit the confirm button (that I never do). The owner is no help with any of the issues I have with her practice. read more
