I didn't tell her at the time, but I was actually getting them done for my wedding, which made the experience even more upsetting. I have had acrylic nails done multiple times throughout my life, but I told the technician that it was my first time because I wanted to make sure she took her time and did them properly. During the process, she used a significant amount of acetone, and I specifically told her that it was burning. Instead of addressing my concern, I was told that it was only burning because it was my "first time." I have never experienced that with acrylics before. The most concerning part was when she was filing my natural nail with the drill. She filed a large, painful dent into my nail, and I immediately noticed something was wrong. When I pulled my hand away because of the pain, I was told that it was because my "cuticles were dead." As someone who previously worked in cosmetology, I know that was not an accurate explanation for what happened. From what I observed, the drill was not being held at the proper angle, and my natural nail was damaged as a result. When I called the salon afterward simply to explain what had happened, I was disappointed by how I was treated. The conversation became uncomfortable, and I felt that they were speaking inappropriately about me in their language. I had a translator present, so I understood what was being said. I was not initially calling to demand a refund. I simply wanted to communicate what happened and address the situation. Before I could even explain that I wanted the acrylics removed because of the damage and discomfort, the interaction became so unpleasant that I ultimately felt I had no choice but to go to another salon to have them removed. I understand that mistakes can happen in any profession. What matters is how those mistakes are handled afterward. Unfortunately, I felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than taken seriously. I would strongly encourage anyone getting their nails done here to speak up if something feels wrong and make sure their concerns are actually addressed.

To begin, he didn't even ask me to wash my hands, I did it of my own accord at their little sink that's just for that. When I sat down after washing my hands first thing he did was to trim my nails unevenly. You gotta compare hand to hand, finger to finger to see if they are evenly cut, he didn't do that at all.. They way his hands were basically deformed to a polish bottle I thought he knew what he was doing, guess again!? I kept trying to strike up a conversation with him but he would not talk to me.. After my nails were trimmed super uneven he proceeded to file the sides of my nails. I told him about my first fingers and how they grow in weird and how I correct it. He made them look ridiculous and almost like I had asked for stiletto nails. You never file the sides like he did unless they are fake. Ugh! Then he roughed up my nail bed (idk why) and started to paint. He did not paint my whole nail bed, he came pretty close to the cuticle, honestly I would have needed a fill I in around 2 days and he didn't paint to the edges, there was about a millimeter of space on either side on all 10 nails. To top that off I had gotten glitter and a top coat. When I said to who I guess is Tina's husband, "look, he didn't paint my whole nail bed" he repainted my nails over the paint already on them. I had chipping almost immediately, seeing as all total there was base coat, 2 coats of color, glitter, top coat, one more layer of color, one more layer of glitter, and one more layer of top coat. I guess I should have been a Karen and bitched till they took the whole thing off and redid it from the start but honestly I had already been there over an hour when I saw how bad my nails were @ the drying /blower station thing. Either way, no one should have to get their nails done twice in one go. I would have paid a 200% tip if my nails looked good when I left, y'all SUCK! P.s. one employee dumped the rest of whatever he was drinking into the first foot bath, I know, there is a drain there, but that is disgusting and he didn't rinse after it or anything.
