so this evening i went there. been going for years. jim was there, hugo, and linda. neither jim nor hugo had a problem with me. however through out the night i ordered things and others ordered things for me. even linda offered me a sample of her waffles she wants to offer tomorrow. in the midst of me attempting to close my tab. in order to do so you have to spend 20 dollars. heres what i ordered a bowl of popcorn, one grey goose drank and a order of chips and salsa. that was at 9pm. at about 1130 i go to close my tab and they didnt even know who was serving me. they told me im short. im well subsided so on the spot because so much happens so fast i couldn't off hand remember exactly wat i ordered. so in the motion of seeking to spend more money i aint even want to. linda catches wind of the miscommunication and tells me im 86ed now linda is an older white female with blonde hair. this is not the first time this woman has disrespected me to my face. if it were not for the people i could care less for this place after dealing with linda. anyways as im tryin to remember wat was the last thing i ordered. linda tells me you know im looking at the camera tomorrow and then turned around without looking at the cameras and tells me im 86th. then goes to security and tells them im not allowed. i didn't do anything to be 86th. its not my fault my orders were not taken to account. then i was extorted to buy a bartender a drink because i would not been aloud to have my property back because you have to spend 20 minimum to have a tab. remember i ordered popcorn, 1drink, and chips and salsa. the chips and salsa wasnt recorded. now am i paying the establishment for me to keep track of my orders? i think not. im highly appalled at the treatment i have received from this venue. 12 twelve people walked away from that place tonight after hearing my ordeal. usually id be there to welcome these people with open arms. how the hell are you a bar owner and linda more drunk than her patrons. im hot i honestly want my money back for having to spend the time writing this. how does one claim to care about her bar yet she is more drunk on the clock being highly disrespectful and kicking out people who did absolutely nothing wrong. unfortunately thats my experience. i want my money back asap. fuck that shit. read more

I like to pop in here when I'm in the area but the last 2 times that I was in here made me finally changed my mind. There's too many bars around to give my money to a spot with terrible service! A few of my favorites from here... Cherry, Kimmy, Megan, Alex, Lanette just to name some. Was in here for a fight night evening recently and a waitress by the name of Tess was the worst. No personality what so ever! Did not even introduce herself, I had to catch her name from another gal.Took forever for a beer and she brought me the wrong one without apologizing but made the effort to roll her eyes when I told her it was wrong. I can understand if they were pack and and under-stuffed but they were not, even the guy I was sitting next to, told me that he really didn't like her either and she was on her phone taking pictures. So wasn't just me, it was another customer as well. I just paid 10 bucks to get in and this is the service i get in return? A couple weeks later,I was in the area with a few of my work buddies for a meeting so we decided to stop in for lunch (they have amazing food) and guess who was working the same girl. With my luck right? No she has not changed, still the same F'ed up attitude. No thank you, no you're welcome and no smile. To Venus: you should pick and choose maybe even interview who you hire because if you want to keep customers coming in, this Tess one will run you customers away. Hi All. Long time reader. First time reviewer. I have been coming to Venus for a long time now and would like to add my opinion about it. Venus is a kinda of unusual place. Depending on how you look at it, it is either a sport bar that has strippers or a strip club that has a lot of TVs showing sports. That doesn't mean that it is bad. Quite the opposite. Now I can only talk about how it is during the day. I am an early bird. So, I don't stay late into the night. The day bartenders (Desiree, Cherry, Cat and company) are great. They are friendly and talkative, if you treat them with respect. The drinks are top-notch. While there are not as many ladies during the day as there are at night, there are usually 4 or 5 of them around. They perform on the stage if there are people there looking. Again, if you treat them with respect, they are great fun to talk to and to get dances from. One thing that I have noticed is that after some of the ladies dance on stage and they walk around the club, some people will not tip them. These ladies are independent contractors. The club does not pay them and they make their money either on the stage or by private dances. The food is better than average. They usually do a buffet on UFC nights (once a month) or if they are having a party. Overall, I like the place. It is fun without being pretentious. Remember, if you treat the ladies with respect, they will treat you right. read more

They have the best homemade tortillas served hot with freshly made red and green salsa prepared by Chef's Lalo and Hugo! The Free Buffet included with the UFC Cover charge was always all the customers favorite and some customers would come to Venus just for the buffet. Desiree is the top bartender for day-shift and Leslie was the top bartender for night-shift, I recall working with her as a Manager and DJ on Sunday for NFL Sunday ticket. So I went there to grab drinks with a friend I haven't seen in awhile and the place was self seating. My friend and I sat for about twenty minutes and no waitress had approached. So I thought if I sat at the bar with my friend then we could get our drinks. The bartender, named Desiree was very unfriendly, and had No personality. Asides from her skimpy outfit, Desiree had no manners, and no personality. If Venus keeps on hiring bartenders like Desiree, that play will go out of business real soon. Only reason, why Desiree has a job there is because the scene inside the place is old and run down but a few cute girls there made it worthwhile and had good food with the full bar to drink enough to not let one bad bartender like DESIREE ruin it for you. read more

Bar is ok. Full bar, nothing spectacular. There's never any dancers. Maybe one or two a shift. Old, reject dancers, too old to be stripping, broken English, low quality, but management calls them top of the line. Uh huh! The cook takes forever and the food sucks, he was so drunk when I was there. I threw my food away cause I was afraid to get food poisoning. Happened to have a seat with a view of the stage and the kitchen (when the door opens...don't look in) looks like the kitchen hasn't been cleaned in years. Rumor has it the cook is a manager as well. Strippers are HUNGRY in this down economy. With almost everyone tipping with singles, a lot of the gals here don't have much of a choice but doing 'other' favors to get some good dough. Man I love this place. When I need to get my drink on , Venus is the place 4 me. I'll have me a Jack n' Coke and a little Asian on my lap. They don't care how ya look or smell long as ya have some green on ya. And both kinds of 'green' will work in here if ya get my drift. That last lap dance she gave me rubbed a hole in my jeans!
