We ate here at October half term during a recent trip to Diggerland, the main reason being that we could pay by card as we'd forgotten to take cash with us on our outing.
Externally, it's a characterful and attractive building. Inside the pub bit it is more basic; perfect for slightly muddy children (who leave dirty footwear at the entrance).
Pub food was lovely. The children were happy with chicken breast, chips and beans, and there was a nice range of delicious food for adults. Warm milk with the coffee was a nice touch as it was pretty cold outside. Being sweet-toothed people, my son and I were most impressed with the puddings. Visually they were fantastic (we even took photos on the mobile as a reminder), and they tasted heavenly.
Yes, I would definitely go again if I were in the area. read more
