A beautiful restaurant in Sudbury. I'm here with a group of 30+ friends. The restaurant owners graciously opened this place for our special occasion. The service staff was excellent! All is forgiven to the Chefs for having to entertain so many orders in such a compressed timeframe but they did it and it was worth the wait. Thank you. I chose the Calamari e Pomodorini as a starter; torched lemon and extra virgin olive oil marinated calamari. This dish was surprisingly delicious as I was initially greeted with an odd looking presentation. Boy, I was wrong. Osso Bucco; sous vide pea and grass-fed beef osso bucco. I was truly amazed at this main dish; the beef was so flavourful and tender! Espresso Bonet; bittersweet chocolate, espresso, cream, and seasonal berries. Wow, what a way to finish a fantastic meal experience! Bonus!! I received a tour of the wine cellar. read more

Outstanding food. My friend and I had such an amazing time here. We're both foodies and this place came highly recommended by friends so we decided to try it out! Both of us are not local to sudbury but we were looking for a place to have a nice dinner while we were in the city for the day. We each got appetizers: I got an amazing scallop and shrimp sous-vide and he had the carpaccio Di cervo which was venison with a strawberry coulis. Amazing! Both of them were delicious! Main Course: I had the Trota- which was orange marinated crispy cooked rainbow trout and he had the Coniglio Arrosto (milk braised farm raised rabbit) which was delicious! There are not enough stars to review this restaurant. The food, dear lord the food. I've eaten throughout Canada, the US, and parts of Europe, but Verdicchio is BY FAR the best meal I have ever had. My taste buds literally died and went to heaven. We enjoyed the 4 course meal with wine pairings. I had the Caramella Ripiena (with truffle I might add), Butternut Squash Risotto, the Tonno Alla Puttanesca (blue fin tuna) Creme Brulee Alla Morehe, all paired perfectly with Italian wines. It's been a week since my visit, and when I think back fondly on a memory; it's that meal. Stopped here on our trip through Sudbury. We saw the big nickel and searched Yelp for an Italian restaurant and this one was highly recommended. Service was top notch and our waiters where always there to make sure everything was in order. We ordered pasta , risotto and gnocchi as our main course and also had the Caprese salad and a seafood variety plate as starter. Pasta was wow especially the Gnocchi , it was outstanding so rich and flavourful. The risotto was just done perfectly. If your ever in Sudbury check it out. read more

Really good Italian food in a modern atmosphere! We came as a business group and were seated in the wine cellar Really nice atmosphere, but too tempting! :) The atmosphere of the restaurant is modern, and they apparently renovated only a few years ago. Service was friendly, helpful, and fast. They also offered Italian and French music from an elderly couple of played accordion and guitar beautifully - they really added to the atmosphere! Of course the food was the highlight. As appetizers, we had the fruits de mare plate (with calamari, shrimp, and other fried snacks) and an antipasti platter - these were outstanding and I couldn't stop eating! I had the gnocchi with tomato sauce as my main dish. It also quite good, a little spicy, and the portion wasn't too large (it was perfect). As desert, I had the banana crepe which was good, but not great. Overall, this restaurant was a very pleasant treat on my trip to Sudbury. I would definitely come back! read more

About as good as you're gonna get in Sudbury. Classical Italian style so can be a wee bit heavy at times. But nicely done, flavorful and very consistent. Very odd location in the middle of an industrial estate so it seems a bit odd driving there. But tons of parking, and the location does not affect the internal milieu. read more

We celebrated our wedding one year ago at Verdicchio's. We said our vows under the beautiful pergola that was lush with grape vines and grapes. Our group enjoyed apps and drinks on the patio We had the Luna room for our group of 30. The owner and staff were so welcoming. The dinner was full of personal touches and attentive servers. This place is the real thing. I lived in Central Italy and travelled there regularly for about 10 years. The food at Verdicchio is real Italian food like I had in Central Italy (and not like the budda boom stuff in many North American "Italian" restaurants). I've never been disappointed going to Verdicchio. The service is top notch too. Waitstaff are thoroughly attentive yet never intrusive. Sure, you are going to drop some bucks at this place. Are you gonna get your money's worth though? I think you will. Unless you happen to have a girlfriend whose nonna is from Umbria, where else in Sudbury are you going to taste outstanding Italian food? read more

Great banquet hall. When I have an event to plan, I'll be heading over to Verdicchio's. Their food, service, and professionalism is by far the best compared to any other restaurant in Sudbury. They have the cleanest washrooms I've ever seen. They sure do pay attention to detail. I'll be back :) read more

The food here is incredible. Amazing pulled pork and the hot sauce is stifling. Great selection of bruschetta, mushroom & red wine rounds, and mini open face sirloin steak sandwiches. Great taste in small packages. read more
