This is poor business practice. I work in customer service for one of my jobs, and I would never neglect returning a call. They don't fully explain the line items on your receipt. They lump it all in together to make it confusing. What is "PP membership"? I'm sure it is something I don't want. I believe "redux" membership is the machine that they have for water damaged phones, but do I really need that for an extra 30 bucks, when they sold me a waterproof Pelican case?? Also, about that case- they don't tell you that your charger doesn't fit into the phone with the case on. Good thing they sold me on the wireless charging pad...... It is confusing why Verizon will not let you pay for the entire phone upfront. I really am not interested in having "device payments", but they would only let me pay for 90% of the phone I bought, so I still have a balance. Not cool. What company discourages you from paying for something all at once??? Try to go somewhere else or order your products with Verizon online. TCC didn't impress me, and I still don't know what PP Membership is.

I am a long-time Verizon customer and have had little issues with Verizon until very recently after the purchase of a new phone at the 4926 Dressler Rd, Canton, Ohio store. For some reason, still unknown, Verizon locked me out of my "My Verizon" account and would not send verification texts or emails to me in order to enable me to get back into my account. Verizon online technical support told me to go to this Canton Verizon store and have them call Verizon technical support from the store and validate my identity. This is the only way Verizon technical support could help in this situation because Verizon's system would not send me texts or emails. Verizon technical support told me that authorized Verizon store employees would stay on the phone line with me in a three-way conversation to help with this identity problem. I was very surprised to find that after I explained this to the initial Verizon store employee, she was not interested in doing this at all. She just asked a few basic questions about notifications and texting and then told me I would have to call technical support for help. Another Verizon store employee came over and told the first employee to help someone else. I assume this employee was some kind of supervisor. I told him that I had been on the phone with Verizon technical support for hours and they referred me to this store who had authorized Verizon people that would call technical support and verify my identity. He told me that it sounded like I needed to call technical support! I once again told him that Verizon technical support told me to come to this store to validate who I am. He and the first employee absolutely did not want to spend time with me on this problem once they found out I was not buying anything I believe. The second employee finally agreed to call technical support and asked for my driver's license and phone which I gave to him. He called with my phone and after a short pause in which he supposedly spoke with technical help, he handed my phone back to me. Technical support was on the line. I went through the whole process of explaining the problem to technical support who once again told me that I would have to have Verizon store people verify my identity. I was amazed to hear this! Technical support told me they were not called by anyone at the store and that support could still not see my account because the employee just used my phone to call them just as I would! Nice dodge! I hung up and asked the store employee to call support again. He said he would and then did the same thing! This happened one more time before I gave up. Verizon store employees were definitely not going to stay online with support to verify my identity - even after they said they would. This is horrible service. I still cannot get into My Verizon account because the Verizon store employees are not interested in helping a non-buying, service problem customer. I have spent thousands of dollars with Verizon this year alone and have been a customer for many years. Beware - if you are not buying anything, employees at this Verizon store are just not interested in you. Also, both employees acted very arrogant and very put out that I was infringing on their important time.

    Much like the other review on this retailer location, I had a similar experience where the salesman…read morewas more interested in making a commission than a happy customer. My husband and I bought our phones and two additional for my in-laws from the Apple store and we took them to this retailer location to get activated and set up with an account. I could immediately tell that the salesman was annoyed at having to help us because he wasn't going to make a commission on any phones. But that didn't stop him from getting money out of us. While setting up our phones, he said "let me throw some screen protectors on here for you guys while we wait". We assumed these were free because we never asked for them and he didn't ask us if we wanted to purchase them. He just said "let me throw some on". Then there were a few car chargers behind the counter and the salesman said "Oh here, these are yours" and he threw them in our shopping bag. I assumed these came from our iPhone boxes that we got from the Apple store and didn't think anything of it. Anyways, we go to pay and our bill was a little under $300.00. I didn't know what the standard price was for setting up and activating phones and I assumed that was a normal price for setting up 4 phones and we paid. Later on, my father-in-law asked us how much he owed us for his portion of the phone activation. That is when we realized that we never got a receipt for our transaction. The next day my husband returned to the retailer location and asked if they could print out our receipt from the day before. There was a different sales person at this time and she printed our receipt as asked. That is when we discovered that the salesman charged us for everything that we never asked for. Each screen protector was $50. The two car chargers were $30 each. There was some sort of protection plan added to our account that we were never even made aware of. Luckily we were able to return the car chargers and the protection plan but we had no choice but to pay for the screen protectors since they were already on our phones. Little did we know, our bill should have been much, much lower. I wish I could remember the salesman's name because he was a snake and took advantage of us! I would gladly call him out publicly on YELP to help others avoid him. We will never go back to this location. Another thing I would like to add, I think it would benefit this location to add some more chairs for customers to sit at. I was 7 months pregnant at the time we went here and my back was in quite a bit of pain from standing around before a seat became free and I was able to sit down.
