I originally brought it in knowing it was an older computer, but I was very clear that it contained years of irreplaceable photos that I wanted to recover. I was advised by their team to purchase a replacement screen on eBay, which I did, and they installed it. After the repair, I was unable to access the laptop because I forgot my password. Apple support advised me that resetting the computer would erase all data, including my photos. Because of that, I brought the laptop back to this shop specifically to extract the photos, and I was told this was something they could do. Since then, communication has been terrible. I have called multiple times asking for updates. Each time, I'm told the person helping me will call me back and they never do. No updates, no explanations, no follow-through. At this point, I just want to know: what is the hold up? Keeping a customer's computer for months with no communication is unacceptable.
