Worst customer service I have ever seen. They refuse to do what Verizon says they should do. They refuse to communicate with Verizon, even after Verizon directs a customer to go and have the store communicate. The reps then say they will do the task, for $20. I've been a Verizon customer for over 5 years. I have never had any issues or complaints but they make promises then do not stick to their word and will not work with you. After the past 3 months I am done with them. One of my lines got a new phone so we sent the old one in as directed. I kept getting emails saying they hadn't received our device but I knew it was sent in so I figured they just hadn't received it yet. I never got another email for about a month. When I finally received an email it was to tell me they added $338 on my bill for not receiving our device. I called and told them our tracking number they saw it was at the warehouse they just had never checked it in so they took the charge off. Then comes our next bill. It has a credit of $338 because of the charge from the previous month. I tried calling they hooked me up with an online person and we messaged back and forth me trying to explain I wanted to pay my normal bill that we didn't really have a credit. They told me I was misunderstanding and I didn't have a phone bill this month so I called and talked to a live person they told me the exact same thing and promised me I wouldn't have a double bill on my next bill because of this credit and that everything was correct and taken care of! - great I thought everything was done. Come this month. I just got our bill and we out $676. I called and asked why our bill was so high and that I was told we wouldn't get double charged they said "sorry for the misunderstanding but you owe for last months phone bill we can give you a $25 inconvenience fee" I said that is unacceptable you told me this wouldn't happen you need to take care of the $338. The nice lady I spoke to put in a request for a credit of $170 for 50% of the bill which would be helpful but I was still disappointed. THEY DENIED THE CREDIT! I have never been late on my phone bill, I have been a very loyal customer and tried to straighten this out before it became a problem but with their employees mistakes and promising me I was misunderstanding and that everything was taken care of I now have a double phone bill and they don't care to do anything for me except give me a piddly $25 inconvenience fee. I am done and will no longer be a Verizon customer. read more

Since this store has been changed to a Victra franchise. The customer service people and there were suits there as well when we upgraded our phones. They were so very nice and helpful. It was an amazing show of good customer service. Boy were we wrong. They told me I was lying when I said I mailed my phone in after buying new one. Wouldn't do anything to help. Stood there like to is repeating I'm sorry I can help you, I'm sorry this isn't a problem I can take care of. Why IS there be a store here with CUSTOMER SERVICE EMPLOYEES I'd they refuse to help. I called the Verizon customer and the first time I tried to explain my issue to them I got disconnected. I was in the Victra store for almost 2 hours with every person on the phone disconnecting me and calling back time and time again. I went back to the store at least 2 more times and again they stood like robots. I sorry I can't help you. Over and over again. This all happened at the beginning of March. I have talked to so many people and the Ottumwa store asked me to leave because I was upset that the phone I had returned was nowhere to be found. And they told me that a lot of people do that. And keep the phone. My phone bill was $576.80. Seriously. They wouldn't take a lost or stolen report, in fact they just refused to do so. So call after call after call. Finally I reached someone at the Verizon customer service only. I was given to a not just a supervisor but someone that can make decisions. Finally I got results but I will never set foot in a Victra Verizon store again. In face if this hadn't been resolved I already had a quote and given information to US CELLULAR. So they were expecting my call. But this person made good all of my problems. Put the phone in as stolen and made sure it was shut off. I also filed an investigation with UPS. Guess what I was told this phone was on the way to where I shipped it. So if like a Verizon and I alway have there are now franchises not just Verizon. So make sure you use either just Verizon or o also received help from a franchise called Russell Verizon. The lady today suggested I do business via internet. I will get better service and probably better prices. Why did I continue you say? I have been a a Verizon customer fit 23 years thru all of their stores changing names, owned by others but the VICTRA VERIZON IS AWFUL TO DEAL WITH. LIKE ROBITS. Unless you are buying of course. I dropped my Verizon cell phone in water and had to get a new one. I live in rural Iowa and had to drive 100 miles round trip to this store. My last experience in a Verizon store was 1-1/2 years ago at a Des Moines store and was an epic fail in regards to customer service and follow-through. Not so this time at the Ottumwa store. From beginning to end, the staff were pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. Austin Wilkins, in particular, could not have been more helpful. He was very patient with me in discussing the options available. I did not feel rushed or pressured. Customer service is the life blood of retail companies and it was nice to feel like a valued customer. Kudos!! read more

Verizon has been a series of disappointments over the 15 months, but when they misrepresented the costs on a new phone - that was the end of it. The general manager no less was part of the problem. Everyone needs to go back to school and learn about customer service. I had always wondered why very few people were ever in the store. Bad customer service, bad wireless service. Why would anyone in Wapello county use Verizon? There's dead zones throughout the county! Look elsewhere! read more
