Quite disappointed with the professionalism; not only with the representative I worked with but every time I've had to go there for things such as: -forgetting to have me verify my trade-in, so I had to come back. The rep. I worked with texted me to come back ON A DAY THEY WERE CLOSED (and I showed up...)! - When I finally come back so they can meet their deadline to send in my old phone, one employee has a BK crown on and both employees appeared to be fooling off on their phones. Don't make the same mistake I did. This is NOT a Verizon store. It is an "authorized retailer" owned and operated by a company called Cellular Sales of Vermont LLC. Their business model appears to be to be to rip off Verizon customers with overcharges and mystery fees that don't exist at a real Verizon store. The nearest real Verizon store is in Burlington (right off exit 14W in the Staples Plaza). I had waited for the iPhone 8 introduction so I could get a iPhone 7 at the previous model discounted price. I checked the Verizon website and confirmed that the 32GB iPhone 7 had been discounted from $649 to $549. The following week I went to the St Albans "Verizon" store to buy a new phone. Thinking that there might be additional discounts I asked the price. The salesman didn't give the actual price of the phone. What he did instead was provide the amount of the monthly payment. It seemed high so I asked him again for the actual price of the phone. He stated that it was $610. Not remembering the exact price I viewed on the Verizon website I responded that the price should be "five something" not $610. He left to "go check the latest prices" and returned shortly after with the good news that it was actually only going to be $560. Not remembering that the price on the Verizon website was $549 I agreed to the $560. He provided the new amount for the monthly payment and explained that there would also be a one time $30 "activation fee". Knowing that they work on commission I agreed to pay $40 to have them apply a $5 screen protector but declined to buy an even more over-priced phone case. They switched service over to the new phone and I agreed to transfer the data from my iTunes/iCloud. The salesman then requested payment of $127.34 for sales tax, fees and the screen protector. I handed him a credit card, signed a small signature pad and waited while he went to retrieve the receipt that was printing in another part of the store. When he returned he very expertly placed the printed receipt into a bag which already contained the new phone and handed me the bag. I left the store without reviewing the receipt (obviously what they intended/expected me to do). While setting up the phone I reviewed the receipt. I noticed that I was charged $44.95 for the already over-priced $40 screen protector, that the $30 activation fee was now $40 and that I was even overcharged on the sales tax. I returned the following day. I asked for the salesman I had dealt with the previous evening. The new salesman explained that the original salesman would be working at "our Williston store" for the next two days. Obviously hoping for a sale the new salesman asked if he could be of assistance. I showed him the receipt and pointed out the discrepancies. Realizing that no sale commission would be forthcoming he rapidly lost interest and stated that I would have to speak to the original salesman. Not wanting to waste time and another trip I asked to speak to the manager. He stated that " we don't have a manager each salesman works independently" and that the only one who could answer my questions would be the original salesman. Three days later I returned. The original salesman was busy with another customer. I sat down nearby and waited. He came over to me to explain that he would be awhile with the other customer and asked if there was a problem. I showed him the discrepancies on the receipt. He explained that the sales tax amount was correct because they were charging me tax based on the original $610 price he quoted me and not the $560 that I actually paid for the phone (???!!!). As to the $40 charge for the $30 "activation fee" he explained that that the $30 charge would appear on my next Verizon bill. The $40 was a separate (and undisclosed) non-refundable "program and setup" fee that I was being charged even though I was the one who programmed and set up the phone. He did admit that the $44.99 for the screen protector was over the $40 he quoted me and offered to refund it if I would sit around and wait until he or someone else was available. Not wanting to sit around for an indeterminate amount of time waiting for a $4.99 refund I left. As stated in my opening sentence of this review. Don't make the same mistake I did. The only real Verizon store in the area is the one in the Staples Plaza off exit 14W in Burlington. Almost all of the other "Verizon" stores are actually owned and operated by Cellular Sales of Vermont and presumably engage in the same underhanded business practices that I experienced at their St Albans store. Another possible option would be the "Verizon" kiosk in the Costco in Colchester. They are also an "authorized retailer" but not one owned by Cellular Sales of Vermont. They appear to charge the same costs as posted on the Verizon website without the mystery fees and overcharges. read more

Run away from this store. They work on commission and once the sale is done, good luck on getting them to help you. They lie and will tell you anything to close the sale. You are better off going through the So. Burlington store or ordering you phone online. Would give a -5 review but it won't let me. read more

I will never return here again. Sales representative was pushy and rude when I told him I did not want to purchase a phone in their store if it was going to cost $70 more in store than online. He also smelled badly of stale cigarettes, sloppy, and left a smoke absorber right out on the desk. They've lost my business. read more

We went to this store to get a new phone for my mom. The customer service from the man we were helped by was amazing. He was able to help us figure out what we wanted from what we liked about our current phones and was able to tell us which operating systems were better based of our wants and what she uses her phone for. read more

I worked with Asad on upgrading my and my wife's phones to iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus. He was great to work with. I take a star away, not because of the staff in St. Albans, but the help desk they use to help activate the phones. They would not listen to what he needed and eventually hung up on him. He was able to call back, got a different call Center and the problem was fixed in less than five minutes. So egg on Verizon's face for their call center representative being rude to a fellow employee. Other than that, I would have Asad help me in future upgrades. read more

I purchased a phone, which ended up not working. I tried returning it and they would not accept the return. I also found out that they charged me double what Verizon would have. Will never return to this store. I am out a lot of money and stuck with a brand new phone that I can not use. My advice, call Verizon directly and go to an actual Verizon store! read more
