We had DJ's come in Fall 2024 to remove two huge 60+ foot oak trees at each front corner of our…read moreproperty. First to say their quote was very reasonable and in line with other local tree services. What we were delighted to see is that DJ's has massive equipment to make the tree removal fast and the trees are hoisted down in huge pieces. Two large oaks were gone in under 2 hours and they cleaned our yard and driveway thoroughly. They ground down and removed both stumps and left the soil clean and perfectly leveled. There was no debris, not a hint they'd even been here nor had the oak trees either! The 6+ man crew was amazing to watch. They worked as a very coordinated team and things went so fast and smoothly. We had them come back March 2025 after getting a very fair quote again to remove 3 large Pines and an even larger oak tree near our house in backyard. I was concerned about heavy equipment damage on our new driveway since they'd have to use it for this job, but, they went all the way to protect our driveway using rubber mats and wood timbers to distribute the massive weight better to avoid any "dents" in the asphalt. This job went so perfect as well and our driveway was not damaged at all. Zero issues. DJ's did an amazing job for us again. We will have them back for a 3rd job at some point next year to remove some messy Pine trees. They were polite and professional, explaining every step of the work as it was being done. The tree removal was performed quickly and safely. The trees were mulched afterward; and I was asked whether I wanted to keep the mulch, which I did. Catamount even cleaned up the fallen leaves after the trees were removed. We have a large construction project starting soon on our property, and the contractor was worried…read moreabout negotiating cement trucks and materials down our mile-long dirt driveway, which winds through thick woods. A couple of years ago, we hired Catamount Tree Service to remove a few large, compromised trees in our yard that were threatening one of our cabins, and we were so happy with Justin's abilities and expertise on that job that we called him to give us an estimate on removing trees on either either side of the driveway to "clean it up" and widen the road for the trucks. He and his helper Sam spent a week on the driveway taking down trees, clearing brush, and delivering wood chips to our yard for my husband to use as mulch around his apple trees and in the garden. They worked their butts off for five days and finished the job by the end of the week, as promised. Yesterday our contractor came over to meet with us and the solar guy about the project, and both of them were blown away by what Justin and Sam had accomplished. The contractor isn't worried at all now about the transport of construction materials down the driveway. Not only are Justin and his crew nice young men who are sincere, hard-working, and professional, they're also fun to hang out with. My husband brews beer, so after the job wrapped on Friday we had them in for a brew sampling, and we had a great visit.
