My driver (wish I remembered her name!) was so friendly and clearly knew the roads really well. Since this was my first time crossing a land border, she gave me great tips on how the crossing works and how to talk to customs agents -- super helpful for a first-timer like me. She was also really flexible and accommodating without charging anything extra. What really stood out was that both the driver and the company followed up after the trip just to check that I got home safely. It's a small thing, but it made the whole ride feel less like a transaction and more like getting a ride from a friend or a cousin. It was an all day round trip booking to NYC requiring driving on icy roads, navigating in and out of the city, and maneuvering through jam-packed holiday traffic in Midtown Manhattan. In addition, he anticipated restroom breaks without us asking, and helped me (70 yr old) in and out of the beautiful and impeccably appointed 'party bus.' The bus had wifi, TV, Netflix, stereo system, beverage set-up, etc. We never had to wait for him, even after the matinee show in bumper-to-bumper midtown. My 11 yr old grandson was thrilled with the very fancy bus and my daughter and I had a wonderful experience. In Burlington, Vermont - the Burlington Country Club is the best value (while still considering atmosphere) up there. It's less than half the cost of most other venues and they cater in-house. They've got a great, wide, covered terrace that works great for formals in the rain (I've had to do it more than once). The food is wedding food but I've had much, much worse. The staff is very efficient and the catering manager is on the ball. For an urban, indoor environment it's pretty great.

Instead they blame the client for not checking the power usage and any other defects.
