I went for a CT SCAN on a Saturday morning. First of all, the fact they have weekend hours is amazing. The registration staff immediately greeted me and were super friendly and professional. The waiting area is comfortable and clean. Shortly after I was registered, I was greeted by Tim, RN who was so personable and professional. Jessica, RN placed my IV access. Both nurses were stellar professionals and very knowledgeable and explained all details of testing. The CT SCAN tech was incredible. It was a speedy process. Highly recommend!! read more

Staff was efficient and friendly. Waiting area was big and spacious. Love the fish tank in the middle (even though it's small). 7am appointment and was seen around 7:10-15ish. Parking here is street parking, but meters don't start till 8am, so try to get a 7am appt. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. ZERO EMPATHY FOR A PATIENT. I walked in at 7:47pm for a 7:45pm appointment only because the place looked closed with dim lights when I first walked in so I stepped back out to find their phone number. I walked back in to find a group of staff congregating towards the back of the room. They all looked at me like I was crazy. I waited MONTHS for this appointment. They provided me this appointment time I did not request this late of an evening. I was told they would call the technicians and then told that they had already "shut down" the machines. The level of disrespect and disregard for a patient is astounding. Why book a patient at this time? Why not reach out to the patient if you plan on ditching the work early? I needed a speciality MRI so I called all around and someone recommended to call here. I called and. Spoke with a Karen who was a supposed manager. She assured me that she did the test I needed and penciled me for a MRI 2 weeks later. I never got a confirmation. Which I thought was unprofessional but it was the least of my problems. I arrived in the hospital and they took me to where I needed to go. The staff was extremely cold and un welcoming. I checked in and reconfirmed that this was the speciality test that was being done today. She confirmed yes. I also showed her my prescription to make sure. It took almost an hour and twenty minutes past my appointment time to be taken for my test. I think it is absolutely ridiculous! I was called in and spoke with Wally and asked again to confirm my test which he confirmed. So we were all in agreement. I go get the supposed MRI and it's the wrong test. I'm not sure how they have such unprofessional, complacent people at this facility but they do. They wasted my time and energy To come here. when I could have went somewhere else to get the proper test. It took me a whole two weeks to get someone on the phone to let me speak with the head radiologist Dr Hyman To admit they made a large error! Even the facility manager who said she would fix it didn't . Ann Scott never called me back and decided to take a Vacation instead of doing her job! She knew I needed answers in a timely manor. I have been trying to make an appointment for a CT Arthogram for two months. I'm told it's only done twice a month. I have to wait to get an appointment in December, but every time I call, I'm told the December calendar isn't out yet. This is ridiculous. It will be December in a couple of weeks. Since there are so few available appointments shouldn't the schedule be out already? You have to keep calling. This place is a joke. Talk about not caring about the patient. read more

I was debating on writing this review, but the more I thought about it, I think it needs to be addressed. First let me say this review is not a reflection of the place or even the expertise of Cathy who did my sonogram, but the way she treated me. I was specifically told by the doctor's PA not to drink water because they want to see the image of your bladder without water, however they will tell you to, but just go without doing that. He was very clear on that because he knew they would tell me to when I set up the appointment. I even mentioned this to the nice lady who checked me at Verrazano Radiology and she said that doesn't sound right, let me double check that. She made a call to someone and they said, o.k, if that is what the doctor wants we will go with that. 10 minutes later I was called in by Cathy the lady who did my sonogram. She asked me if my bladder was full and I said no and explained to her what the doctor said to me. She was so rude and condescending I was a bit in disbelief, but kept my mouth shut. She said that's impossible they will never tell you that, we can't do a sonogram without a full bladder and she said, here look at the sheet and was quoting all these numbers like I was supposed to know what they were. She went on a 2 minute tirade berating me, like she wanted me to argue with her. I said I'm just telling you what the doctor told me and she curtly replied, no way you misunderstood him. I said it was the PA and she said then he knows nothing about how this works. I kept my mouth shut and she said o.k. we will try and see if we can do it, if not I will have to send you out to fill your bladder. I didn't say a word as I knew I was in a very surreal situation. At that point I could tell she knew her stuff and her mood started to change to being nice. I'm not sure if she caught herself or the fact that i didn't defend myself, but she was nice at the end and did what she could. I'm just writing this because everyone has a bad day, but there is no way a patient who is being courteous and respectful should be treated this rudely. I hope she doesn't treat others this way. I have nothing bad to say about Verzzano, other than Cathy the rest of the staff was nice and professional and I didn't have to wait long at all. If I do go back, I will request someone else because I am a nice guy who treats people with kindness and respect and don't like to be treated rude and disrespectful by a medical professional for no reason. read more

Horrible establishment to deal with. Had to schedule an appointment for a cardiac CT scan. As I was just sitting in my car waiting for my grandson to finish his football practice, I decided to call and schedule the appointment. IT TOOK 30- 40 minutes to finally get a live person. You have to listen to all the "wonderful" physicians and services that North well has to offer!! I ask to make an appointment, which was not an emergency, thank God, and was given the next available appointment, JUNE 19th! Imagine. I make the appointment and ok. Upon thinking it over, I felt that even though it wasn't an emergency, why should I wait 3 MONTHS to find out if anything is going on? I am a 2 time cancer survivor, do I want to take a chance and drop dead of a heart attack if it can possibly be prevented? I decided to call Hackensack Meridian to see what dates they had to offer. (That is where I had my chemotherapy and oncology doctors) I was offered an appointment within days. I made an appointment for the following week or 10 days. The only problem I ran into was scheduling the appointment because I was not given the proper paperwork. Given a slip with the procedure, no diagnosis code! Unlike Verazzano, their staff got in touch with my cardiologist's office and all was set. I was also not given instructions for the test. I had the test done on April 9, 2024. 9 a.m. appointment. By the time I got home from Hackensack, my report was already in MyChart! Done, raed, and loaded into my records. I have been trying to CANCEL the appointment for June 19th, but NOBODY answers the phone. There is no way to leave a message to cancel, and when I attempted to cancel with a "cenreal" line, was told I have to cancel with the doctors office! If I could give them a negative review, I would. Horrible. Then they wonder why we don't stay On Staten Island for care. read more

Had to get a x-ray there and they do not take appointments for that procedure, I expected to be there for hours but I was in and out in an hour! Lisa, who registered me in was extremely friendly and helpful with my insurance questions, and also gave me a voucher for parking, which I was unaware of. She made my check in quick and pleasant, and Anna (I think) was quick and professional taking the imaging! read more

We had an MRI appointment on an early Saturday afternoon. The waiting area is very clean with plenty of available seating. They have a cute fish tank in the middle of the waiting area which was a great way to keep my little one busy! Our wait time wasn't very long at all. The lady who called me to the desk to collect info, check our script, take my co-pay, etc was extremely professional and friendly. Jason was my daughter's technician. He was super kind, friendly and made my 7 year old feel very comfortable before putting her into the MRI. Although I couldn't stay in the room with her, I felt better knowing that my daughter looked comfortable before l left the room. read more

my husband had a cat scan on friday august 6th requested by dr. lawerence langan. dr. langan's office called verrazano's office on wednesday august 11th, because they had still never receivedthe results back. when dr. langans office called to get the results they told her no such person was there for the test. i have been on the phone since 11:am this morning trying to reach verrazano to find out what thier problem is. i left a call back twice one at 11:am and still have not gotten a call back . my husband has been suffering for 3 months and we were scheduled to have an appt. with dr. langan on thursday august 12th. i think it's a disgrace that you can not reach anyone there and they don't call you back. my husband name is john j. smith dob 4/13/40. i worked for this hospital for 22 years and i guess it's going down hill. i intend to file a complaint ! read more

I went to have my Xray done in Verrazano radiology and it took more than2 hours to have it done.They only have 1 technician doing Xrays and it takes forever.Since you just walk in for it without appointment,you just have to wait.Ghe place is super busy and it will be nice if takes less than 2 hours to have a study done. read more

I had a CT appointment with my Mom Yelena Y. on Friday afternoon. The personnel was very kind and professional. My mom is not able to walk and was on a wheelchair. She was accepted without waiting, almost right away. The CT professionals provided instructions on her native language that was very comfortable for my mom to follow them inside the apparatus. The staff was so nice and pleasant that I wanted to thank them and write a very positive revew. Also the waiting area is very clean with plenty of available seating. They have a wonderful fish tank in the middle of the waiting area. This medical facility may be highly recommended. read more
