Wife and I went in a week ago. Needed blinds for one bedroom window. The window at hand is 47" inches wide by 47 inches tall. Quote from Rebecca for install was 850.00 parts and labor. First I thought it was labor so I said I'd take the parts and hang the blinds. New quote for parts was about $650.00. Hahahahaha for one stinking window people!! We got up and left. Complete complete crooks. Well unless the blinds were made out of gold. Everyone!! y'all save yourself the hassle, measure the darn windows and go get them at Lowe's or Home Depot. You can also Order on blinds dot com. I warn you now, stay clear of this place and places like it. Google and learn what you need to do and do it!!! Cannot repair blinds! Terrible customer service! Took complete advantage of my 80 year old mother who needed a repair on one of many blinds she purchased there. First repair to cord was reinstalled by their installer who said it wouldn't last a year. He took it back to the store and it was reinstalled again. Five months later the cord broke. She took it back and it was "repaired", but the header was installed backwards so the colored part of the blind is visible from the outside and the inside is pure white. My mother called and was promised they would make it right and no one ever called back. I called on her behalf and the person who answered laughed at the stupidity of the whole experience and assured me it would be taken care of. They never called back again. Thanks, Vertical Vic's, for making my mom lug the large blinds back and forth repeatedly, costing her over $200 for failed repairs, and making false promises. You should be embarrassed. read more

I was recommended this place by a friend, so I guess I went into the store with my guard down. Service was very prompt, and I selected a color of rolling blind. The staff went to draw up a price for my 5 windows that turned out to be nearly $1500. While they were completing the price, I found a color I liked better so they switched to that version. I still had reservations about the color and asked if I could take it home. They said yes, but I had to return it in 2 days and I didn't want to take another long drive there and back. Asked about looking the color up online and was told "you probably can't find it." I ended up leaving a deposit and set an appointment to get my windows measured. I started having misgivings about the color and found a different one I liked at another store. I called the Vic's to put my order on hold and they were civil, but clearly not happy with me. I ended up going with the new color/store and saved $500 from Vic's quote. Vic's charged me $100 for measuring my windows, which seemed a little excessive. Two lessons I learned: 1. Do price comparisons before going to Vic's 2. Don't leave a deposit read more

My husband and I purchased our faux wood blinds from VV's almost ten years ago (which have a lifetime warranty). About two years ago the wands to open the blinds detached from the unit and the clear plastic ball on the strings broke. The first time I called they told me I could bring the blinds in and they would fix them in store and it wouldn't take long. I had to think about it because it wasn't just one blind, it was 5 out of the 9 blinds we have. We decided to have the truck come out to fix them. For $98.95 it was worth not having to remove all the blinds, hauling them to the store, going back home, and putting them back up. The truck came out on Saturday and the gentlemen said "I'm here for a walk-through" - What? I was under the impression when I made the appointment that they were coming out to fix the blinds that were broken. I told him this and he said "let me call the store." He came back in and said he could reschedule, come out and fix them but it would take like 5 hours OR he could take the blinds and then drop them off on Monday afternoon. So, he took all the blinds that needed fixing and left me with no bedroom or bathroom blinds for the weekend. They called Monday wanting to drop them off AND charge me another $98.95 for the truck to come out again. I said "I was under the impression you were going to fix the blinds at my house and not have to take any of them." Yolanda said "we didn't know we were going to have to take them either until we looked at them." Needless to say I wasn't paying ANOTHER $98.95 when you gave me the switcheroo. Yolanda said "so, you'll be picking up the blinds then?" I said "yes" My wonderful father picked them up this afternoon.......we'll just have to struggle with putting them back up ourselves.
