So far a 1 star. The website allowed us to make a Saturday morning appointment. We then received an email asking if we were available on Thursday or Friday as they could fit us in sooner. We replied no, Saturday works best. Next, they responded that the Saturday slot is not available. The site clearly says 'available dates and times'. I feel like they just don't want to work on a Saturday so say it's not available when it is. I went back to the site and Saturday is still available- so why are we being told it's not? Review might change after consult but at this point I am not happy with this company and we haven't even met them yet. read more

The company was amazing. They came out right away to help us pick the right styles for our price point and measured every window opening. Good thing they did because we ordered more after the first ones were hung. The cordless roman shades work great and the drapes in our bedroom light up the room. Our designer was so pleased with the value that she is using 1800 4 Blinds for her other customers. read more

Save yourself the headache and hassle from.the condescending owner Craig Balbes's They are Very pricey and shady with excuses of why you still are waiting and you will wait 4 to 6 weeks when blinds should only take 14 business days for your Blinds and you will get bits and pieces of your order and/or window treatments. they don't carry any fashion colors. 10 colors in all. Lowe's or home Depot are better and less expensive and have more exciting fashion colors to choose from. Don't pay this company one dime in cash because you won't get any refunds. Once they have your money, they dont care, also the blinds are not durable. I purchased 8 vertical blinds in 2017, now all of them are either sticking or not working at all. Company told me it could be normal "wear and tear". I explained to them that I live alone and do not constantly open and close my blinds, some i rarely ever use. I called to set up a service request, and was told the minimum fee is $100 which i agreed to, I was then told I would be called today to arrange a time, i took off work and never received a call. read more

Both Eric and Ceci have been amazing. I am not an easy one to deal with...I am not rude, but I am picky with what I want. I bought a new home in March that had no window treatment, and as soon as Ceci walked into my home she had a great suggestions (things I had already "hoped" for) for my windows. Eric was always quick to respond with questions I had as I placed the order. The installation was quick, and done well! I was so impressed, I called them up within a week and had them out again to continue adding window treatment to other windows. Dont EVER use this company. They are the most irresponsible and have lousy customer service. Not only did they mess up my original order (in which took a long time to receive) but they also tore up my old blinds and did not install the new ones. They did not have anchors to hang the blinds so they left my windows open for almost two weeks (I had to purchase temporary coverings myself in that time). When they finally decided to come back to install the blinds that were already here they arrived late, carelessly installed the blinds incorrectly/unevenly, and discovered that two of them were cut too narrow. These are Roman blinds in which they cannot be duplicated, hence I am stuck with a lot of wasted time and money lost. Eric Dritz, the owner, is extremely incompetent and not a man of his word. He promised to still order and install the other blinds but then after screwing up further just ran away from the deal because he knew he was going to lose alot more over time to get it right. If I could rate them a ZERO, I would. As a matter of fact, it would be a negative digit. read more

Recently we decided to reconfigure our living room and needed to purchase blinds in the sunroom to help with the glare on the TV that would be sitting just opposite a room full of windows. We reached out to a couple of companies for estimates and happily, we chose 1-800-4Blinds. The owner, Eric, was immediately very responsive and always available and Ceci, our salesperson, was absolutely professional and knowledgeable and, believe me, very available to answer any questions that I had even after having chosen the blinds we wanted. Needless to say, being me, I changed my mind a couple of times and questioned my choices. Each time she immediately sent us various quotes and pictures and explained the textures, sizes, and colors. In the end, she helped us choose the appropriate blinds after explaining our needs. Max, our installer, was very flexible with our schedule and came out when it was convenient for us to measure and then install. We were in no rush to install since we had some remediation work that had to be done that created a lot of dust in our home so we wanted to wait. Honestly, that took about 2 months. Max was very accommodating and professional and always polite. Oh, did I mention it took him about 30 minutes to install 9 shades! We are very happy that we chose 1-800-4Blinds. I would not recommend this company either. They took our deposit and promised our blinds would be ready in 30 days. We called our sales representative to check the status of our order on day 31. We did not received a return call. We called the installer, Dallas, and have not received a call back. We then texted Linda Price, no response. And lastly we sent an e-mail to both, still no response. We filed a dispute with our credit card company to get our deposit back. Now we have to start this process all over again with another vendor. This company is worthless and they don't ever return messages. I wish I would have come to Yelp before we placed our order with 18004BLINDS. read more

Very unhappy with the my blinds from this company. I got 9 blinds installed. Shortly after a year of having them the string would break. A $58 charge to get blinds re-strung. Hopefully this would happen to one blind but no 4 more blinds have snapped. I have other blinds for 20 plus years and never had this issue. I just decided to cut my loses and get shades from a far more reputable company in my local area. These blinds are cheaply made and a huge waste of money. Live and learn. read more

Do not use this company. At this point, I believe that they are going out of business. However, in the event that they are accepting new orders - steer clear! Our curtains are over 2 months late and they are not responding to phone or email inquiries. We will suing to recover our down payment. We live in Chicago. I also called the National Headquarters and they basically just told us to deal with it - it was our problem. I would NEVER use 18004BLINDS again! I strongly urge anyone contemplating to use this company to save yourself lots of frustration and aggravation. In April 2018 I contacted 18004BLINDS and Linda Price came to my home. She is a lovely, professional lady. A few days later she had her "professional installer", Dallas, come to re-measure my windows. I was told the shutters would take 8-10 weeks to make. It was actually 16 weeks! Dallas came to my condo with his 14 year old son and another guy. After paying thousands of dollars for this product, I was shocked to have a 14 year old doing the installation. The installation appeared fine. When Dallas originally wrote the measurements down he wrote sloppy and illegible. Due to this, three of my shutters were not sized correctly. I was told they were making three more to replace them. In the beginning of October I was told they would arrive mid October. I have contacted Dallas probably over 30 times since then with phone calls and text messages and I have yet to receive a response. This is unprofessional. He in unprofessional and unreliable. Since this is November, I believe I have been extremely patient. I am sorry I did not read other reviews before I ordered, since I probably would not have ordered from 18004BLINDS. The shutters are beautiful - it is simply not worth the time, stress and frustration dealing with someone who is not professional and doesn't return messages. I urge you to GO ELSEWHERE and save yourself the stress that I have been through. If I had to do this again, I would have used Home Depot or Menards, where they have good customer service, reliable and comparable prices. I hope this helps! read more
