Each day, they kept us updated on what was happening, who would be at the house, and what to expect. Any concerns or questions I had were answered immediately, and they worked closely with us to ensure we got exactly what we wanted within our space. What really stood out to me was their willingness to collaborate. They didn't just stop at the design; they helped us with everything, even coordinating with electricians and plumbers when needed. The daily communication was something I wasn't expecting, and it truly made a difference. Although the project did run a bit longer than initially planned--due to holidays and some weather delays--we are absolutely thrilled with the results. Our new kitchen is everything we envisioned and more. We couldn't be happier with 5blox, and I highly recommend them for anyone looking to remodel!

They even came up with a brilliant solution to squeeze an island into our small kitchen space, and we absolutely love the new layout of our home. Photo attached for reference! The attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and professionalism throughout the project were outstanding. This review is long overdue. I highly recommend 5blox to anyone considering a remodel.

I had a house fire and needed a CUSTOM WHOLE HOUSE re build. I had another contractor I was going to work with but heard one thing about Geovanny from a neighbor who had their house remodeled from him...they said he always fixes his mistakes if you find issues. That to me is GOLD in a day and age where contractors just leave you hanging dry. Geo gave me a bid and stuck with that bid. He didn't upcharge me as time went on. I am a designer at heart and everything in my house is custom...kitchen design, fireplace, kitchen hood, cabinet, bathroom showers, stairs....EVERYTHING...and Geo made it all happen. I hired a separate glass railing stair company who SCAMMED me but Geo helped me get what I could and came up with ideas with Tavo to make it work. Out of the kindness of his heart, Geo also gave me dream bathrooms at his expense. There's NO way I could have the house I have without him and Tavo. If you know exactly what you want, they can make it happen. Was it a problem free experience? It never is....BUT Geo will talk through issues and do what he can to fix every concern I have and continue to. Are they perfect? No human is, but what I was looking for is someone who would be willing to finish the work and not run away when issues arise. I would recommend hiring Sheena to help with all the design work and make sure that there is VERY clear communication between parties. Visit the project regularly to make sure everything is the way that you want it and vocalize any concerns you have. Geovanny has the best heart and I would hire him again.

Throughout the entire process, Mike was very professional and the level of expertise he exhibited was obvious. Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. After this entire process, we are extremely happy we got this project completed with MDM. What really sets them apart is the quality of work, dependability, and the great people that work for MDM. Shoutout to Mario! They really respected our home and were very considerate of us during construction. Even after everything was finished, they guaranteed that they would come back and fix anything that needed fixing. Cannot recommend them enough if you want to improve or build your new home!

They did a fantastic job and in 2021 I hired him again to upgrade my hallway bathroom. Again, they did a fantastic job! Now I have a beautiful medicine cabinet with no cracks!!! I also talked with him about a problem with the French doors in my garage. Leaves, dirt, and water would get in the garage because the bottom of the doors did not fit properly to the garage floor. Plus, since the doors were wood, they were falling apart. He came up with a solution I liked, and his company started on it. They replaced the doors with non-operation vinyl French doors, and they put a concrete curb in the doorway and covered it with a black metal flashing. "Buyer beware before you consider Pulsar Construction in Torrance, CA"!…read more On July 15th, 2025, I submitted a request for kitchen/bathrooms renovation on Pulsar's website (including my zip code - see attached photo) on my Fusion at Southbay home. The same same day, received a response from Elena (office manager) stating "we are booked until September 21st and not accepting new project but we will put you on our waiting list". "Our team will contact you in case of any cancellations". After patiently waiting, 2-1/2 months, on September 29th, I received an update from Elena stating "Good morning Jeff!!! We are looking for a new project starting in November. Please leave us a note with the property address and your email. We will reach out to you after 10/10". So I did just that only to receive an immediate reply "Unfortunately, we are unable to help you because your zip code 90250 is outside our service area". This was very disturbing as we've been waiting 2-1/2 months and if this was known, we would have contacted another construction company. I responded to Elena "that is interesting, my home is 6.5 miles from Pulsar and clearly within your service area, per your website map". Elena replied "we can't consider your project since it is territorially located in Los Angeles". I explained to Elena, this is absolutely false as my Fusion at Southbay home with Hawthorne zip code 90250 is an "incorporated" city in LA county, the same as Manhattan, Redondo and Hermosa - in which my home literally borders MB/RB directly across Aviation Blvd. I then texted her all of the supporting screen shots (including map area of my home to Pulsar), Pulsar's website stating "We specialize in serving the SOUTH BAY of Los Angeles for 9 years". Elena, my home is in the "South Bay of Los Angeles. I requested to speak with the Owner only to be completely ignored by her going forward. In summary, my renovations would have been completed by now. I lost 3 months and have to start the entire process over again looking for another construction company. Again, potential customers - Beware of their misrepresentation and tactics!

My project was extensive, including the removal of a wall, the creation of a vaulted ceiling, and a complete demo and creation of a new kitchen. Therefore, I took significant time and care in selecting a construction team. After meeting with Dmitry and Elena, I was confident that Pulsar Construction was the ideal organization to meet my needs, and this decision was validated throughout the process. Dmitry, Elena, and their team are extremely professional and organized. They provided a schedule of the work to be accomplished and met with me to discuss every aspect of the project. They facilitated every step of the construction and remodeling process. They obtained the required permits and addressed any concerns from the city. Elena provided excellent references for cabinetry, tile, flooring, and appliances and set up appointments for me. Of course, I was given the flexibility to obtain products from a business of my choice however, the references that she provided were of the highest caliber. I particularly appreciated that Elena was always willing and positive about meeting me at various sites to help me select materials such as flooring and backsplash. Her design and construction expertise were invaluable. One of the things I most appreciated was the frequent communication. I received daily texts and emails regarding progress made and any concerns or questions that arose. Also, I received prompt responses to my calls or texts. The team was flexible, working with me regarding my scheduling needs. Dmitry's and Elena's attention to detail and high standards of work were also greatly appreciated. They are hands-on, reviewing every task of the project. When they found a slight misalignment with the backsplash tile that was being installed, they had all of the tile removed and reinstalled so that it was perfectly aligned. They are perfectionists and treated my home like it was their own. Any challenge was met with impressive solutions. Dmitry was extremely knowledgeable and creative in finding solutions to challenges that arose. Through their professionalism, flexibility, frequent communication, positivity, and extensive knowledge, the Pulsar team greatly minimized the stress of what could have been an overwhelming experience. I was so impressed by their work, that I added several additional projects which they accomplished with expertise. Pulsar Construction is not only a business of the highest caliber, but every member of the team was consistently pleasant, thoughtful, and caring. They did everything possible to assure that my vision for my home became a reality, which it certainly did. I highly recommend Pulsar Construction and will definitely work with them on any future projects. I absolutely love my new home!!!

The project ran about six months. The short version: we'd hire them again. The longer version: Jacob, the design lead, is the reason we went with them. He has a genuine passion for old buildings and pushed to preserve original details that another contractor would have torn out without a second thought. That instinct matters when you're working on something irreplaceable. Ken managed the project more quietly but kept things moving. We began our Culver City project with a plan to renovate our existing three-bedroom, one-bath home and convert our garage into an ADU. What started as a 325-square-foot garage ultimately became a beautifully designed 705-square-foot one-bedroom ADU. Throughout the process, EG's consistently exceeded our expectations. The quality of the craftsmanship was outstanding, but equally impressive was the team's communication and guidance. Their insights helped us make smart decisions that balanced our budget with our desire for thoughtful design and high-quality materials. As the project neared completion, our confidence in the partnership led us to take on an additional phase--adding flexible living space to the existing home. Technically a JADU, this unique addition transformed our front home into a four-bedroom, two-bath residence, while also creating the option to close off the rear portion and generate rental income in the future. None of this would have come together without the collaborative approach of Eric, the owner, and the entire EG's team. Let me add that we previously had the other 3 balconies done in 2022. These other 3 we took the lead on organizing the different contractors for the different work (i.e., demo, structure, electrical, plumbing, railings, flooring, stucco etc). The goal this time was not to be involved and have Rocha take point. Initially, it felt like we had made a good choice, but then we had a pause in having work done. Upon checking in we learned Gilbert was in the hospital. His wife Marie assisted with getting work moving forward. Gilbert was not seen for about 6 weeks. And during this time we had many days when no work was done. Once Gilbert was back he was not the same. We had to spend many hours tracking work and what needed to be done to keep the project moving, along with the bookkeeping, when he asked for a large amount over what was owed. The project took longer than initially projected, which we were ok with to get a good end product. Once the balconies were finished, final payment made, we asked for warranty information, Gilbert Rocha said he would forward. Warranty information was never received after multiple emails requesting.
