I had only been on a Vespa twice before so choosing the 50cc was the best choice for me and my friend. The scariest thing is not driving the machine but navigating it through traffic. And I only say scary to those that are hesitant drivers. Italiens have places to go and be so drive with the flow of traffic and make sure you know where you're going and GO! The owners were really really kind and helpful and answered all the questions we had. I intend on visiting Rome again and I will 100% rent from the same business if I have the opportunity!

Originally,…read moreI thought their representations were "accidental" but they consistently have issues with (1) availability of the product you reserve - when you show up they tend to have less powerful models that do not have enough power to move with traffic in busy Rome; (2) their equipment is older and god knows they do not even disinfect their helmets so bring your own or don't rent from them in the Covid-19 age; and (3) when they say they will credit you for the issues, don;t count on it. They wouldn't honor it with me and Visa would not even address the issues because the company makes you sign their agreement which then negates the ability to contest charges with Visa. As an alternative another disgruntled customer let me know of another company that is right by the Termini station. i tried them and I like them a lot. They have a better selection and are reasonably forgiving if you are a few minutes late to return as it can sometimes be hard to meander your way around Rome's streets. Best part, they are only about 1/2 mile from "My Vespa". If you search scooter rentals termini you should find the other place.

My guide Matteo was exceptional. He did a wonderful job navigating the Rome traffic and he was polite and personable and his English is excellent. He shared a lot of information and showed me things that I didn't know and I am a frequent traveller to Rome; I would highly recommend this tour and Matteo who is an asset to Bici & Baci tours and to the hospitality industry in which he has chosen to work.

Zach suggested a tandem, which we had not considered, and we took advantage and had our best day in Rome. The day prior, I went on the four hour Appian Way tour with Anna and she gave a great tour, and I had what may have been my favorite gelato stop. Their electric assist bikes are really powerful and the tandem bikes, while not electric, were fine for two so-so fit persons. Don't pass up the opportunity to bike Rome!

Way cheaper than a taxi and less complicated and more convenient than buses and trains... and I was with my family so didn't want to rent scooters either (safety reasons). The staff is very nice and accommodating. I was running late to pick up my bike so I called to inform them and they stayed open 10 mins to wait for me. One day I had my seat (saddle) stolen and they replaced it with a smile. I will rent here again.

My mother-in-law is elderly and getting around with her took more time than expected. Still, we arrived at the staging area and the staff was still very pleasant and accommodating. You can tell they were getting us to hurry because they know the area would be overrun with other tour groups. They really wanted us to have the best time and experience there. And they sat us in a very good spot for the Wednesday audience with the Pope. I would definitely recommend this company.

He is definitely highly recommended. He is an archaeologist as well so he had a lot of fascinating things to share with us. We actually ran into him on three separate occasions in Rome by chance and he was great to talk to each time. The Colosseum tour we took also included the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill (both even more fascinating than the Colosseum in my opinion). The Vatican tour was with Claudia and she was equally as knowledgeable and fun! She obviously knew the folks she needed to to get around in this massive complex without having to wait for anything. The "no-line" entry most tours get has lines here. She had the hookup to get us even past those lines. The tour starts through the Vatican Museum and it was very crowded at the time we were there. She fought to make room for us to get in front of the masses to get a close look at all the things she wanted us to see. It was great to see her genuinely care about our experience. Just about every other tour group we saw in this places had at least 30 people in them. Both tours we took with Real Rome Tours had less than 10. We all had an equal opportunity to experience these beautiful sights with great knowledgable folks who even stuck around to answer any questions we had. They also give great recommendations on restaurants and other places you need to see while in Rome. Gerard was also a pleasure dealing with while booking our tours. He is well organized and gave us a great alternative when we wanted to do the Colosseum Underground tour that wasn't available. It worked out perfectly for us. I couldn't recommend Real Rome Tours any more.
