I pulled over and scooped the poor kitty up and put her on the floor of my car. He was still breathing, which was good. Punched in "vet" into my GPS (no cell service) and BVS was the first name on the list. They took the kitty in and took care of him. If I lived closer they would be my new vet for sure. Hopefully some one there will be able to send us a photo of the cat when they are able. He is part of our adventure and would love to have a photo memory. I took my dog there in April when she became sick. When I brought her there, they told me that she was in such bad shape, that they couldn't send her home with me. They said they could either keep her overnight for observation or that I could take her to a more expensive veterinary clinic in Madison or the Twin Cities. They said they thought that her CT scans showed an intestinal obstruction. However, the next day, they called and said that she was better, that she didn't have an obstruction. They said they did a second CT scan in the morning and used AI to look at the images to determine if there was anything to be concerned about. I believe should have been done when the did the first set of CT scans, since it could have confirmed immediately that there wasn't an obstruction and that they needed to pay attention to her labs results (these will be mentioned farther down). They told me she just had an upset stomach and that she'd recover. She didn't. She died shortly after they sent her home. I've been requesting her lab results from that visit and I just got them, along with the note that they would not be communicating with me further. As if I was being unreasonable for asking for them. Her test results indicated that she never had an obstruction, but that she actually had a bacterial infection that was causing her liver to fail. Every test result of her liver enzymes indicated this and they ignored them, for some reason. Her bilirubin levels were extremely high, 3 times the normal range, and they did nothing about it! They also lied in the records that they finally gave me. They stated that she was in no visible distress when I brought her in, when she actually was in distress. So much distress, that the vet and vet tech commented on it, since they had met her before and knew she wasn't acting normal. They also stated that her mucous membranes were pink and moist when she was brought in and when she was released, which is another lie. Her white gums were one of the reasons I knew she was sick and brought her to the vet. And this was another thing the vet noticed and commented on. They are unscrupulous, negligent, unprofessional, and liars. They only care about money, they don't give a dam* about your pets or you. If your fur-baby gets sick, take them to VCA Sand Lake Animal Hospital.

My pet was not properly cared for at this vet. My cat needed stitches because of an electrocution…read moreand needed a cone to prevent him from scratching his wounds. They told me when to take off the cone and when I did he took off the stitches that they did which means they were not ready to come off and now my poor cat will be permanently disfigured due to their negligence!! This was told to me IN PERSON!!! What's worse is the doctor who worked on my act would not take accountability and said I should have gotten a check up on him when the nurses told me my cat didn't really need a check up!! I stilled tried to make a check up just in case but unfortunately things were too late! They were also very rude!! Since this happened in person they are welcome to check camera however I doubt they will considering everything that has happened so far... I did get a call from the owner and all she did was argue with me??? Trying to say how she doesn't think anyone would do or say this! She was quite argumentative about it. She also kept talking over me during the conversation. All she cared about is protecting her image and did nothing to fix this. Also the owner saying: "I think" IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!! You can't just call and be like I don't think anyone would do this when it DID in fact happen? Do not trust this hospital they do not care about your pets they only care about their paycheck. If they do anything wrong they WONT take accountability and will deflect!!!!! Update: I did change my review about some charges because I was wrong about certain ones I was told I was charged for certain things but wasn't. The owner keeps putting up my original review and fighting about those charges if I changed my review it's cuz I saw I was wrong about it??? Anyways she is being very passive aggressive about it and rude to me!! I have never seen anyone act towards people like this over a review! Stop bringing up the charges I understand that I was not charged for those two things I said before which is also still on you guys because this is also what I was told???
