I had taken him to be groomed and the technician told me he had an ear Infection. This all took place in within two weeks. I called the hospital back and was told they only treat symptoms and don't look any further. I paid $150.00 but they refused to see him again without another ofc visit cost.

It was extremely dirty inside, and the doctor there seemed agitated when my dog jumped on him. He didn't mean any harm, he just wants to play with anyone he comes in contact with. He's a rescue, and he hasn't learned yet not to jump on people when he comes in contact . We're working on it! They also charged me for an oral flea medication, and a shot. They never gave him neither, I didn't realize it until I looked at my bill that I was charged for those things. So we had to go back the next day, to receive the things that I paid for, but didn't get ! Soooooo this time, when I searched in Google, I meant Bloomfield Animal Hospital, so I made sure this time I got it right. He's so caring and knowledgeable, and prices are extremely reasonable.

They put me on hold then claimed a bunch of other people in their tiny office were on the phone and snatched up all these same day sick pet appointments During the three minutes we were on the phone. This is the second time I was unable to get my dog in for a visit when she was sick. They can't even schedule a sick visit a day or two out!! For well visits, I have had to wait over a month. This same team seems to staff two offices, but clearly is spread too thin. Perhaps they prioritize the other office, or maybe it is just as difficult to get in there. Whatever, I will reduce their patient load by one. It irks me that I paid up front for a year-long wellness plan at a place that is too understaffed to actually see my dog, sick or well.

I also like that they give you all of the options you have available but they don't try and push anything on you or belittle you and your choices. They will always work with you. I am also a helicopter cat mom, lol. I have endless questions for Dr. Burns and the staff. Dr. Burns always returns my calls in a very timely manner and is very patient in explaining everything in detail to me. I even told Dr. Burns once that they are my babies and they can't talk so I am their voice and he said he totally understands. He is never in hurry to get out of the exam room or off the telephone with me like so many veterinarians are. There are 2 offices as well so that helps with flexibility in scheduling. I will continue to go to Walled Lake Veterinary Hospital for all my pets care.

I have been hesitant to spay my girl as it can be pricey, and also is a major procedure. We are on day 4 of her recovery and she looks AMAZING! My total was 381, and they even kept her overnight FOR FREE, because I was a nervous wreck taking her home the first night. They were beyond understanding and took all the following steps I have seen in every vets youtube videos. Jazz has been eating, drinking, taking medicine just fine! Pros: -Got my dog a same day appointment…read more -Vet tech's were all very friendly and helpful! -Super quick Cons: - Not a fan of the lobby being closed to the public... I should be able to comfort my animal at vet. That made me extremely uncomfortable and I wish I would've known prior to scheduling the appointment. -I got my statement back and the vet tried adding on different eye antibiotic's and washes even though my visit has 0 to do with her eyes. (Her eyes are completely fine btw) -Vet didn't mention or bring up the eye stuff, just snuck it into the bill. After removing the medications we did not talk about, the bill was $120 cheaper. -Vet gave my dog a penicillin shot since she had a tick bite (to prevent infection) but didn't mention he was also prescribing penicillin pills on-top of it. I spoke with my primary vet after and she said that the additional antibiotics was completely unnecessary considering she doesn't have a infection. Wish I would've caught that since it would've saved me an additional $40. Overall, I was very appreciative they got me in so quickly as well as how friendly and informative the vet technicians were. I just feel a little taken advantage of by the actual vet himself for adding stuff on my bill he never even mentioned or spoke with me about. Super glad I double checked before giving them my card!!
