Miss D was so helpful (and the absolute sweetest) with everything, and the kids really enjoyed following her around to feed the goats and chickens. I'll admit, it's pretty daunting to pick up riding as an adult. It's *a lot* to learn! But I appreciate and love how DaNae motivates and challenges me each time I'm there. The facility is so beautiful and it's a huge perk to have a covered arena! And if we can't ride on rare occasions, we've got educational lessons. Everyone I've met at the facility has been welcoming. And I've also been really lucky to take my lessons with a great group of girls. I recently heard that DaNae purchased the property and it's so clear that she's putting so much love into the space. Our Equine Studies courses develop students from having no horse experience, to competent horse handlers, riders, and future horse ownership. Our courses cover topics including basic horsemanship, basic care, grooming, handling, physiology, health, and ground work. Our unique eight courses provide a will rounded education that extends beyond a basic horseback riding lesson. Our more advanced courses cover topics like jumping, and eventually prepare the student for competitions and potentially joining our facility drill team. The arena has awesome footing and they drag it almost daily. Horses get turned out at night in the hot summer months and then reversed in the winter. Also, if it's too slippery for turn out I have seen them hand walking horses. They do daily body checks and if something is wrong you will be notified immediately. The horses here are happy and healthy. I disagree with the bad review and believe this is the best place in the area as I had had horrible experiences with other places close by. Go check it out!
