Beautiful park outside of the Brentwood water park. Lots of shaded/covered spaces to utilize for separate parties.

I've been looking around parks to hangout while having my coffee. This one actually pops up and it's of the best parks in Brentwood. This park is special because it recognizes the US veterans. From most poles you walk into, you'll see banners of some veterans. It's really nice because it shows that did so much to serve us. It's not really a big park compared to the ones I usually go to, but it's still a good place to host outdoor parties. It even has a water park. So it's basically like my home park I usually go to except smaller especially how the parking is set up next to the water park. Honestly, it would have been a bonus if the park is bigger, but this is good enough. I really wanted to walk around the park but it's too hot. I just go in the shade because I can't really take the heat. I highly recommend bringing water if you plan to go around the park. read more

Great local park! Perfect for toddlers. Very clean, well equipped. It has play structures, swings and a bunch of other amenities. I also love that it has a chill walking trail where you can learn about veterans. My daughter rode her tricycle along it and had a ball. Great experience for the whole family and highly recommended. read more

On my recent exploration of the Marsh Creek trail, I've. noticed a number of parks or green belts that you can detour to. This week I veered off trail to explore Veterans Park. This is quite a large park with expansive green lawns, a large playground, bocce ball courts, roses and much more! Early on a weekday morning it was quiet with mostly locals jogging through or our taking their dogs for a walk. I would imagine it gets busy on the weekends since there are ton of amenities including many shaded areas and picnic tables to sit. I did a full loop around the park and enjoyed seeing the various animal statues, complete with little poems written by local school children. They also feature banners of locals who've served in the military. Seemed to be a very well kept park. It had a lot of room to spread out and and plenty of parking as well! I rode my bike here for lunch with my husband and we had an amazing and peaceful time. There's more than enough space to sit whether you like the grass or the picnic tables. This park connects to a bike/walking trail. It has a skatepark, a kids park, a water park, and the ice cream truck stops by! They even had decent bathrooms that are maintained well. It's important to understand that people can be disrespectful and also kids can be as well so it can get pretty messed up on there but the park management seem to try their best to keep it clean. I was practicing handstands in the grass and the grass did cut up my back a little so wear a short sleeve shirt probably. Lol. There's food places across the street and an elementary school on the other side. It can be really busy but it didn't kill the vibe for me at least. I believe there are food trucks here sometimes also but don't quote me on that because it's just something I heard from someone else. read more

We've been here before and it's a great park to picnic. The parking had plenty of spots left when we got there around 3pm on a Sunday. Many spots on the grass for picnic. We enjoy the sand volleyball area, the kids love the playground area and there's lots of grills with overhead coverings so it doesn't get too hot. Probably need to reserve those spots ahead but our party was able to use it after the party was finished ahead of us. My only feedback is the restrooms can get pretty dirty and no toilet paper left so bring your own. read more

Very nice clean park. Huge space for running around, big park for older kids, small park for younger ones. It's also where the aquatic swim center is. There are folks out here bbq -ing Hopefully my kid's energy is drained after running around! read more

For its size this park packs a lot of punch. Bocce and volleyball courts, a fenced play area for the littlest visitors, a mesh net climbing structure for older kids, large rolling landscape for picnicking, ample paved walkways, reservable covered areas for parties and proximity to the skate park and swim center make this a great location. Further it is dedicated to our veterans and features a small monument to each branch in different parts of the park. read more

Went to this location for food truck Wednesdays. Park is big as is it's parking lot, plenty of parking and sitting areas. Bbq pits and plenty of covered picnic benches. Park grounds are well maintained and clean; grass cut nicely and bushes trees trimmed, plenty of shade & no trash laying around. The playground although big in size, the equipment it offered is minimal, the structure itself doesn't have much for kids to play on; no swings & only one slide, it's mainly a large walking bridge and the front is shaped and in a pirate ship design with a slide. Has climbing rope structures with multiple designs, ok for the older kids but not toddlers. Has swim portion with water slide but did not use so can't review. Bathrooms were horrible and just nasty dirty, graffiti everywhere, light didn't work, toilets were all clogged, trash everywhere air dryer did not work nothing to dry hands on then having to touch dirty door handle to exit since no paper towels. Toilet paper was good not cheap and super thin at least. Sad the park is nice and well kept but bathrooms not at all. I will say the park is an awesome way to honor our Veterans. read more

Big park with a lot of trees for shade. They have volleyball courts, bocce ball courts, kids playground, bbq areas with seating, bathrooms. Didn't have swings at the playground. read more

My family and I love Veterans park. So much to do and so big! From little kids to teenagers that skateboard! My only issue is the bathrooms. They're dark and never seem to be clean. read more

Went here yesterday morning to go for a walk around the perimeter of the park and noticed that they just opened an actual kids section of the park. Turns out they completely upgraded the lack of no park for the tiny tots and turned it into a Pirate Ship paradise. Little kids were clamoring all over it and exploring all of the new features. I didn't get too much of a look at it, but you didn't have to as the brightly colored Pirate Ship could most likely stand out from a mile away. Thumbs up to it being there. I was wondering when they'd give the little kids a place to adventure. read more

Regarding the skate park: Skateboarding is not a crime! ;) My kids skate at this park all the time. For the most part, the people at this skate park are positive and tend to help each other out. At the same time, there are a handful of bad seeds that hang here that consistently yell profanity like it is going out of style. The skate park supervisors do not do anything about it. They just let it slide (from what I have witnessed). So if you plan on bringing your kid here, she/he may be exposed to some explicit verbiage. Cool structures but no swing They had the rope climbing maze which kids liked and everything else that turns and swirls them around There are no swings which older kid wanted and older kid quickly got bored but it was a good 1 hour to run around back and forth from the climbing rope structure to the sailboat slides Lots of vestibular stimulation and balance and coordination challenging activities read more

This new facility is just around the corner from all the Harvest Time fruit farms... This park has covered group picnic areas, a sand volleyball court, 4 bocce courts. The facility has restrooms, kids play area with "web-like" climbing stations, and a wide walking/biking/skating path around the perimeter of the park. There's also an adjacent skate and water park. Lots of lawn area to play. read more

Came here for a picnic after fruit picking. Not much for the toddler set, but my 3 year old loved climbing the spider web structure. Most of the shaded picnic tables are far from the play area, so that's a downside. The restroom was also flooded, which was oh so fun with 2 kids that love to splash in water given the fact I had no idea whether the water was clean or not. read more

This park is definitely one of the top parks in Brentwood. There's a volleyball court, bocce court, playground, and the skate park and water park are attached to it too. We recently went to a birthday party at this park and there was so much to do for all of the kids!!!! The kids even played with the sand in the volleyball court area because no one was using the volleyball court at that time. Plus, there are bathrooms onsite!!!! I have been walking here for years. I took most of the year off and started walking at the new doggy park on sunset. I went back and walked and did my stretching routine at the end of my walk and I noticed that Veterans Park is looking pretty shabby. The tables and benches were filthy and vandalized, the floor looked so filthy and scummy. BBQs are in bad shape.The recycling and garbage bins and holders were in poor shape. A service gate to the swim park wasn't even able to close properly and just left that way with a chain to keep it closed. The rose Memorial was in poor shape, the roses were not dead headed correctly, that entire area looked poorly kept. It's disappointing because we pay a lot of taxes here in the East county and I know that in my neighborhood we pay a supplemental tax for the upkeep of our grassy areas and paths. read more

I love this park! I took my 5 yr old two weeks ago and he loved it. Lots to do for the little ones. Plenty of seating too.

Took my son here for a pinic lunch and some park time. He had so much fun. He even made some new friends. It would be nice if they could add some infant swings there is. Than it would be heaven for kids. Highly recommend it and it feels safe too. read more

I have a dog. I love this park the grass is lush and green. There are off leash areas and even a "drinking fountain" for dogs They offer doggie bags. I always like that. It lets me know my dog is welcome. My dog is sick so once around the perimeter is perfect for her. Lots of trees for shade, sometimes we sit down under a tree and just take a rest. This may not be for the seasoned hiker but for a nice stroll its perfect for my dog. read more

This was my favorite park in Brentwood when I was younger. It's a great place to take kids. The rope climbing structure is awesome, and now they've added a pretty cool all-abilities playground as well. There's a lot of spinning playground equipment for kids so be warned! They have clean bathrooms, a finger-skateboard thing for younger kids (works great for matchbox toy cars as well), and lots and lots of shade structures! There are expansive grass fields, some of which are hilly, and there's a pretty sidewalk that goes around the perimeter of the park. There's bocce courts, a sand volleyball pit, and a beautiful veterans memorial, and they have a lot of picnic table seating under shade structures, which I think you can reserve if you're having a party. The park is next to the skate park, senior center, swim complex, and elementary school, and it's pretty close to the gym and Yogurt pizazz too! read more
