Splash pad area with the climbing boulder in the background
    PaHoua L.

Visited for the first time today April 20, 2024. The water was operating, so if the splash pad is your reason for stopping by, you won't be disappointed. There is a larger playground for bigger kids and a smaller playground for smaller kids. There's also a boulder for climbing and a big grassy area for yard play. I was impressed by the multiple canopies that offer shade, especially for adults and small ones in strollers. Even the swing area is shaded. I noticed a reservable area with picnic tables where a group was hosting a birthday party. There are flushing bathrooms nearby another area with picnic tables, along with multiple trash bins. This is really a lovely space to enjoy a hot sunny day. It's clean and located in a residential neighborhood. There is an off street parking lot, but I imagine it can get full on a nice day. When we arrived around 11am, there were 2 available parking spots.

An amazing park designed specifically for children, featuring safe playgrounds, colorful slides, engaging activities, and lush green spaces perfect for family outings.

I had driven by this park a few times and decided to finally take my son. The parking is not that big do get there early. Not sure if you can park on the street. They have bathrooms that were very clean. They have a water area. There was 3 different play grounds. There was a large grass area. There's not a lot of shade do make sure you take your shade and chairs. Overall my son had a great time. Got wet for free on a hot day. I don't think dogs are allowed here. Overall great for kids.

We celebrated my daughters 1st birthday and it was a success! This is a nice park and everyone enjoyed themselves. Kids can get wet in the splash zone and there's also a small/large child's playground with swings and slides. I rented the covered area through the city of Brentwood and they only allows 25 guest. It cost $79.00 for the whole day 7am-7pm. You're only allowed 1 10x10 canopy and 1 6ft long table which we had. It worked out. We had family setup their own blankets and lawn chairs near by. I would definitely recommend

Best park my son and i went to today. He had so much fun running through all the water sprayers. Looking forward towards coming back with his focus on the playground/s. There's a free parking lot here. It seems if it gets busy guests would park on the street and walk in. Theres two showers and a eye wash station and also a smaller playground with Swings. Of the many different playgrounds in Brentwood this is easily one of the top 5

What a lovely fun happy slappy little park

Came here since the park down the street is always super crowded and never has any parking spots (can't remember the name). Had my 10 month old daughter with me. Place is probably better for kids who can at least walk/run. There are a few small structures that shoot water for kids to run through, but it comes out a bit too fast for a kid that can't walk yet, so I couldn't take full advantage. There are a couple of small play structures as well, but nothing overly impressive. Lots of space on the grass for kids to run around and play on, and there are some nice shaded areas with tables to eat/host birthday parties/ect... It's a nice park, nothing wrong with it, it's just very mediocre. I wish they had a water structure that squirted out water with less velocity, which would allow me to stand in/near with my daughter. I wouldn't tell anybody not to check this place out, you can at least get parking here, but it's worth checking out the other parks in the area before settling on a favorite.

We've been to Dublin Wave and Larkey Swim Center but I think San Ramon Aquatic Park takes the cake: 1. Low entry fee of $8/pp. Big, clean family room for changing along with showers. 2. The main splash pad is a sight to behold. They have this gigantic bucket that gets filled with water pumped from the main pool. It rocks back and forth like a slow bell, signaling impeding doom. Eventually, the bucket tips over and drenched everything and everyone below. It never gets old watching this. 3. They have separate pools for diving, lap swimming, and one with a gigantic inflatable structure that looks like an obstacle course from American Ninja, only above a big pool. As for minor downsides: 1. Limited places to sit around the perimeter. Its crowded here and many folks set out blankets for picnics. 2 Despite a pretty big parking lot, it does get busy so you may need to park a bit farther.

First time visiting this pool with some friends and kids on a weekend. There's a huge parking lot…read moreright outside the pool, which is very convenient. The parking signs were a little confusing because they say "pool permit parking only," but I later found out that this only applies on weekdays. $8 admission is a pretty good deal, although there's an additional service fee when paying by credit card. The front desk didn't mention the fee, and I only noticed it after reading a sign off to the side of the desk. The changing room was clean and tidy, with hot showers and plenty of lockers. There aren't individual changing stalls, though, and the bathroom is located inside the changing room. The kids' pool is probably the highlight. It's very shallow and perfect for little kids, with water slides, a play structure, and a big bucket that fills up and dumps water over everyone. The kids had a lot of fun waiting for it. The main pool has a dedicated lap-swimming section and a shallower area around 4 feet deep where people can hang out. The deep end has an inflatable obstacle course that looks like an American Ninja Warrior-style setup, along with diving boards at different heights. My biggest issue was the very strict lifeguard monitoring. They were watching the pool extremely closely, with whistles ready to go at any moment. During our three-hour visit, I saw multiple parents and kids being spoken to by lifeguards. I was also approached for having a small child on my back in the shallow section. I was standing comfortably in the water, but I was told not to carry the child that way. What confused me was that I was allowed to carry the same child in front of me, but not on my back. I understand the lifeguards have to enforce safety rules, but I wasn't clear on the difference or what additional safety concern the back carry presented. Overall, I appreciate having lifeguards who are attentive and focused on safety, especially with so many kids around. However, during our visit, it sometimes felt like I was being watched the entire time and had to walk on eggshells. The facilities are clean, the kids' pool is fun, there's plenty to do, and $8 is a reasonable price. Would I come back? Maybe 50/50. It's a good community pool, but the very strict enforcement made the experience a little less relaxing for me. ‍

It's adjacent to Larkey Park, so if the shared parking lots get full, you'll find plenty of free street parking. The pool itself is divided into several section - beginners (3.5 to 4.5 feet max depth), diving, and for lap swimming. They have lifeguards everywhere and they do a fine job of maintaining order. The water temperature was perfect. Our 5yo son seems to have a natural inkling for water but he enjoyed the pool far more than the splash pad, which is also popular with young kids. I tried carrying him up on the water slide but he refused. Note: for taller folks, they have a pretty intense water spray on top of the slide that can blind you. Imagine max shower pressure right on your face, LOL! Other amenities are large locker and changing rooms with clean showers, small picnic areas for sun tanning or relaxing, and plenty of benches and tables to store your bags or snacks. They also have a vending machine for cold drinks. Definitely plan on returning when the pool opens up again (9/27/25 was the last day for the summer). A definite bargain at just over $20 for a family of three.
