Just the facts Please see our agreement, where they state 100% satisfaction guarantee- lies 6/1 - I called Veterans tree service 6/1 - I met with a representative at the company and they gave me a estimate of $2000 this was to remove 2 trees and trim one in the front, the estimate person insured me they were professionals and could handle the job, he said it was no problem they'd be using a cherry picker. I was told I would have to wait two weeks. 6/11 - I called to see when the job was scheduled and Samantha told me she couldn't tell me until the morning of on Tuesday. 6/14 - call Samantha again on the morning she still told me she couldn't tell me when they were going to be there. I waited about 4 or 5 hours. 6/14 - I finally left cuz I had to get to a meeting I got a call from the owner telling me the job was going to be harder than the anticipated and he can do it but he had to charge me more.. then he told me he didn't want to do and he said his estimator didn't estimate the job correctly. He said I would need a cherry picker to do this job and I have to rent one and I took informed him the estimated told me that was the equipment he was going to use. I said no problem let's reschedule and go back and get the right equipment I'm back another day what day can you come that's why he said well I really don't think I want to do the job and he said I'm sorry instead of being sorry about we get the job done reschedule he said I can't do it and he hung up. 6/14 - I then called the office and spoke with Samantha Samantha informed me that his husband who is the one who owns the company she formed me that he didn't want to do the job I asked her to talk to him cuz I need to get it done she said I will talk to him and I will call you by the end of the day. 6/14 - again they left me hanging Samantha never called and I'm left with these two trees and they need to be removed. read more

Veteran Tree Service arrived June 22, 2023 to trim my neighbors tree branches. While they were here, they came on OUR property and chopped up our mature, once beautiful cypress trees without a permit and without permission from us. Who do they think they are? Ryan & Team are the best. We had scheduled with them for a somewhat routine tree trimming (of a neighbor's tree branch that hung over the roof of our children's rooms). The situation changed to more serious, and when we sent Ryan a text photo, he arranged his schedule so that he could help us the next morning. He's knowledgeable about tree health, tree cutting, and which trees are protected from cutting. He was sweet with our kids and our dogs. His team was kind, professional, and courteous. Veteran Tree Service was highly recommended by a neighbor. They were able to work me in quickly (I had a time constraint) to remove a smallish holly tree and grind out the stump. As that didn't cost their minimum charge of $500, they also selectively removed and trimmed branches from a sizable backyard oak, allowing breezes to come through, trimming from roof overhang, and otherwise improving the look of the healthy tree. I had a oak tree and a palm tree removed and they did not grind the stump of the oak tree, but grinded the palm tree. I am very disastified with this company and now I am faced with having to dish out an additional $600.00 to grind the stump. I will just leave it to karma and the universe will take of this owner. read more

TLDR: Big trees needed a great service. Price point fair & service completed within 2 weeks of original quote. Professional tree company with personalized attention above the competitors! Our giant oak trees in the front yard were in desperate need of professional pruning. We had attempted to prune them ourselves last year and barely made a dent. So this summer it was time to call in the professionals. We got quotes from 3 companies and Veterans price was in line with the competitors but, offered a personalized approach of allowing my husband to point out exactly what we would like done. Other companies came out and sent us an emailed quote without actually asking our preference. Veterans Tree service told us they would be out within the next couple of weeks to complete our service as it's summer in Florida and the rain had impact their schedule. As expected, they then came to complete the work exactly as discussed and we are very pleased with the results. Trees trimmed and debris cleaned up all within a couple of short hours! Would not trust this company. An arborist came out and gave us a quote back in June this year. We signed their quote and asked when they would be back to cut a Virginia Pine. About three weeks later I called because we hadn't heard anything. The arborist seemed annoyed that a set date was needed. He said they would simply come out the next time they were in our area, take the tree down and leave a bill. Huh, okaaaaay... So we waited. After a month the job was not done. To be fair, 2018 was a brutally hot Summer. So we decided not to disturb them again until the weather cooled off. Here we are Nov 30, 2018. I called two weeks ago and left a message with our quote # again asking for a follow up for the job pending. Still haven't heard back. I think it's safe to say this company is not at all professional or reliable. Pretty disappointing. read more

I was so lucky to find this Veteran Tree Service LLC in Holiday, Florida, and Ryan Loftis. I was faced with a serious and horrible situation which involved two trees over the roof of our home there. Being I was thousands of miles away I felt helpless and could not afford a bid that was taken by my property manager along with some other necessary work. Then I found Ryan Loftis and his company. He was genuinely concerned about what was happening and went out almost immediately to take pictures for me and access the situation. He said, if they could be trimmed, that is what he would do for me. Upon checking the problem it was clear that they needed to be removed. Within a few days he was out there and removed them! Did an awesome job on trees that were actually in a very hard place to remove in regards to their positioning between our house and the neighbors. I could feel his honest nature over the phone and his compassion for me. He is a veteran and that is so evident in how he is willing to give so much to help people by offering fair prices and even will work with people on payment. I can actually not say enough good things about Ryan and his company. I could finally sleep at night after speaking with him. This was this week, May 18, when I first spoke with him to completion already today May 24, 2018. It is so comforting to know there are people like Ryan out there that are not just trying to make a buck on someone but have so much integrity too. First time I've had to find someone to trim palm trees at my Tarpon Springs home. Yelp to rescue and found this company. They responded to request very quickly and gave me a very fair price. Was really impressed with the quality of the job ( two guys with huge bucket truck and disposal trailer). Both trees look great and yard was left spotless. They came out the same day I called them to give me a quote and provided a fair price so we decided right then to hire them. They took care of getting the permit within just a few business days. Once we got the permit they were out just a couple of days later. They showed up on time to get the job started and Ryan and his crew worked fast. We had an Elm and Norfolk pine as well as a couple of small trees that needed to be removed, and a large oak, palm trees, and a couple of Japanese plum trees that needed trimmed. We repaired equipment for this company in October 2018 and they still have not paid the bill (Today is May 14th, 2019). We contacted them by phone and ALWAYS get voicemail and no call back. We left email messages and mailed a bill as well. If you do work for them don't expect to get paid. read more

We had a large cypress tree that had fallen in our backyard during a storm. We contacted Evan via text, sent him pictures and got a quote, which was very reasonable. His response time was excellent. Shortly afterwards, we set up a time for his crew to come out. Two days later, they were here as scheduled. Extremely polite and hardworking guys. Went to work immediately after arriving and did not stop until the job was finished, which included blowing and raking the leftover debris from the walkway and driveway. We had veteran tree service out to trim our tree. We had dead branches that needed out as well as some branches that needed trimming over our roof. They came out in a very timely manner. However, they broke my birdbath, took my lighting out and left it sitting in my garden. I understand things break, but it was the fact they didn't tell me, they acted as though nothing happened. My husband came home and said they didn't even do what we were quoted for. He called them, the gentleman that he spoke with was VERY nasty, cursing and screaming. My husband asked for them to please come and complete the job that was quoted. He said some nasty things and told him he would give us our money back. We explained to him that wasn't what we wanted, we just wanted it fixed. Weeks went by, we heard nothing from them. We called again, same story. Here we are months later, nobody has come to fix the problem, not have we received a refund. read more
