Other than overlooking the dirty pond and the new hotel construction, the vineyard itself is quite relaxing. As far as food, they mostly specialize in Mexican-ized pizzas, including topped with pastor. I was not expecting the food to be all that good, but it surprisingly was. The service was as expected (neither very efficient nor overly zealous given the laid back atmosphere). As for the wine, stick to the white. We had the white blend (tordillo), which was pretty balanced and not overly sweet or dry.
The entrance is very cool. There's an old ring of sorts alongside the walk up ramp, which is/was either used for bullfighting or horse-related activities. I'm not entirely sure which.
After parking, be very careful upon exiting your vehicle. My friend brought his dogs, one of which got attacked by a red ant. It turns out we parked right over a massive pile of them and the poor dog suffered through lunch into the following day. That said, this place is very pet friendly. read more
