The lobby is on the fourth floor, breakfast buffet on the second, pool access on the first. It has several different restaurants inside the hotel; a sports bar, pizza place, waterfront lounge, bar, fancy dinner spot, all at hotel prices (not the cheapest). They also have a huge swimming pool with slides, swim up bar, kiddie play area, sectioned off hot tubs (same temperature water), water volleyball/ soccer area and a separate disconnected lap pool and indoor hydrotherapy pool. The hydrotherapy pool has fountains with streaming water that's meant to massage your back, it's warm and has underwater jets. It would be very nice and relaxing if they didn't let kids play in there. (Sign says no jumping, kids should not be unaccompanied, etc but no one enforces it). Behind it is the real spa which offers different paid services and a gym for the motivated (who wants to work out during vacation?). They provide free pool towels at the cabana near the front of the pool, show your wristband and room number and confirm your name. The room we had was right next to the blaring pool music, so every night it seemed like there was a loud party you could hear through the bathroom window and died off around 10pm. Our room (for two people) had three beds, two doubles and a single, maybe just because of room allocation. We had a fully stocked fridge and snacks (for a price), a safe, closet with hangers, plenty of room to set your things out. Though, the rooms didn't get cleaned very consistently (the floor wasn't very clean, different number of towels each day, soap was thrown out and not replaced, sometimes we got more amenities other times none). The bathroom was weirdly shaped (maybe because it was a corner room) with the shower and toilet sharing a glass door that slid to close one or the other. Our door rolled toward the toilet and was difficult to keep it shut while showering. The shower was much narrower than the toilet separation which isn't great if your not a petite person. The double sinks however were helpful and the little shelf that ran along both sinks, to set your thing on was great. The towels were all hung on a towel bar under the sink which meant the bath towels almost touched the ground. There was only one hook to hang any thing else. The room operated with the card in place, which was a great way to save on electricity and the air conditioning even shut off when the window or doors were left open. Very eco friendly! The included breakfast buffet had an array of fresh fruits, yogurts, self service coffee/tea machine, pastries (cakes, bread, pão de queijo), sausage, bacon, and waffles. If you're willing to stand in line and wait, you can order a tapioca cooked as you like. Overall big resort hotel. Good for large number is people. If you're looking for something with good crowds and lots of options this is for you. Interesting side note: they fly the Catalan flag, carry Desigual store inside the hotel and have a Catalan phrase in marble in the lobby, and Internet webpage has 4 languages: English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Catalan.

For the price it's not a bad hotel--not perfect, but a great location. The hotel has 166 rooms, is…read moreright on the beach and has several pools, a tennis court and they serve microbrew beer at the pool (so far so good!). A good many of the rooms have a view of the beach and the ocean (if you ask, the front desk will do their best to accommodate you if your booking did not include this). The space could be better used. While they have some lovely antiques scattered about and the restaurant where breakfast is served has a wonderful view overlooking the beach, there are several bars and lounge areas that appear to have used to have servers that are just used for seating. The hotel in general needs a bit of TLC (there are some problems of mold, but nothing outrageous) and there is no room service after 10 PM. We were here for Christmas vacation and the hotel was packed, but there was still adequate parking on site. Some earlier commenters noted that the hotel is a bit far from town, but it only cost about R$25 by taxi to get there, so if that's a deal breaker, then this isn't the place for you. Otherwise the staff were, generally, very pleasant and mostly all were helpful.

This a solid 1 star Hotel. There are so many things wrong with this hotel for the amount you pay. I…read moredon't know how it got higher than 2 stars. Must be the view that's all. Let me start with the few positives. The view from our room is very nice. You can see the green water along with the palm trees that make for really nice photos from the comfort of your room. They also had a decent breakfast buffet every morning which was nice. Access to the beach was great as it's private and the swimming pool is a decent size as well. Now as for the negatives. As soon as we checked in, we were told that there was no WiFi in the room. You have to go the lobby to get Internet. Secondly, the room itself was very old and falling apart. All of the mirrors had black spots on them and the sliding balcony door lock was broken and fell out so the balcony door wouldn't completely shut. Third, the hot water shower knob fell off and wouldn't stay into place. And finally the toilet bowl was leaking as well. We did mention the balcony door to the hotel staff but it was not fixed. If you're going to charge people a lot of money for a hotel at least fix the rooms. Overall I would not stay here again if I came back to Natal. I'd choose a different hotel even if it is a little further away from the beach.

The rest of the time was spent traveling for US soccer matches during the world cup or taking a side trip to Rio de Janeiro. Pros: -Right on the beach -Within a 5-10min walk of Praia shopping center (with the tents and Habib's) -The entrance is gated (although anyone could really drive in) -Air conditioned room -Sliding door and balcony (able to sit on balcony) -Free breakfast buffet included w/our stay -Can swim up to the bar & order a drink -Strong jets in the whirlpool. INCREDIBLE VIEW! -Filtered water spigot in the gym for water bottle re-filling -Fridge in the room -Safety deposit box in the room (R$2/day) -Someone is always willing to assist with luggage. -Staff was friendly & there was usually at least one person who could speak English -Can hook up your iPod to the outside speaker -Outdoor shower/water spigot available when you come up the stairs from the beach -Overall the restaurant food's pretty decent. My favorite was the chicken, rice, and vegetable soup, which easily can feed 2 people. Cons: -To get to the beach, the walkway's unfinished, so you have to trudge through piles of sand. -Everything is tiled, so hallway noise echoes like crazy -Gym is pathetic (20lb weights and an unsafe treadmill) -Sauna doesn't have a vent or heating element -Whirlpool outside is not heated -Housekeeping just replaces towels and makes the bed. No sheets are replaced, the floor isn't swept, and the mirror isn't cleaned. -The cold breakfast beverages all taste funny. -Dinner one night in the restaurant took 45 minutes to get our first course (soup). -The towels are stained and have seen better days. -Spotty Wifi sometimes, even though a Wifi pole (green poles with boxes on top) was right outside our room. -No elevator. If you are handicapped, ask for a room on the 2nd floor (which is actually the same floor as the front desk). -ANYTHING in the room, e.g. snacks or anything in the fridge, is a charge if consumed. -Towel rack is in the shower (so your towels will get wet if you keep them hung there). -No disposable cups for hot beverages, e.g. tea, and forget trying to ask for this. -The toilet paper actually consists of napkins, and if housekeeping gives you another pack, good luck trying to get it in the dispenser. -The vegetable cream soup was terrible, and in contrast to the other soup, you only get a small cup. Tips: -If you need more towels, ask the front desk. They have pool towels that aren't stained, and they're about the same size as the bath towels. -If you are about to run out of something, bring the item to housekeeping because they don't speak English. -Stay on top of the bartenders if you request a mixed drink at the pool bar. -A taxi to the airport costs anywhere from R$110-$155. -Ask well in advance for a taxi because it take up to 30 minutes.
