Located in Old Quebec City, across from Château Frontenac, visitors to the bureau can gather information on all Quebec destinations. Very well maintained, brochures, pamphlets of tours, and excursions are there. folks will help you out with any questions. the tours meet right outside the office which is very convenient (across the famous Chateau Hotel). As every place is nearby, it was our go-to place for restrooms. By the way, there are many restrooms in this area. like 5 minutes of walking, loved it.

NOT MUCH INFO AT TOURIST INFORMATION CENTER…read more The Information Touristique center is located in a large corner building on Rue Sainte-Anne across from Place d'Armes (near the Monument to Samuel de Champlain and Chateau Frontenac) . It was an odd visit to a tourist information center where one expects to find racks full of maps, brochures and restaurant flyers. The stark and empty room suggested that the information center was winding down after a busy summer tourist season. I saw a few posters on the wall but no brochures. Although I was the only visitor in the center, a woman gave me a number and directed me to stand on a non-existent line to speak to a representative. The representative gave me one map of Old Quebec and when asked, she had no brochures or flyers to give me. Note - some visitors might find the stairs and the heavy front door a challenge when visiting the tourism office.

There is a ski school for kids - 10:30am-3pm and a daycare for the little ones so adults can enjoy skiing. The mountain has plenty of advanced and beginners trails. Some of the trails are pretty long which is nice to practice on. I would recommend the ski school for kids and lessons for adults. Mostly French speaking but everyone knows at least a little English.

We had an…read moreamazing time, mostly good luck with the snow and since then I have been dreaming to spend an extended long weekend in this nice ski resort. MSA has trails of different difficulties, some of the blue slopes are indeed steep and the diamond runs are enjoyably long. Unfortunately the snow fairy was upset on the day we departed from Montreal, instead of snow storm we had rain in mid January all the way up to the ski hill (yeah, unfortunately global warming is not a hoax). The next day the personnel worked hard to make the ski slopes skiable and indeed they did an amazing job. By noon almost all the runs were opened and we found some real snow instead of ice. The MSA runs are longer on the south side and some of them more challenging. On a freezing sunny day the gondola may offer some relief from the cold and the views form the top of the mountain towards Saint Lawrence river are breathtaking. But I personally prefer the north side, after a snow storm this is the best place to have fun. The single chair on this side is backed up by a long T-bar that reminds me the ski days back in the Bulgarian mountains and is good although slow alternative when lines for the lift are too long or you need a shelter from the wind. At the bottom of the north side is also my preferred rustic chalet where you will get the best hot chocolate. The people working at MSA are amazingly friendly, everywhere, in the caff, the ski shops, ticket office they will help with whatever you may need. The apres-ski in the local bar is perfect, there is a fire place next to the window overlooking the hill and reasonable variety of good beers. MSA is very quiet during the night, there is a limited number of options to dine and you need to drive if you would like to go out for dinner, I personally consider this as an advantage. Last but not least, you can upgrade your day pass for night skiing at additional cost of ten dollars, so be careful with the apres-ski. Five stars from the heart!!

We ordered a few wines and beers and enjoyed the tour. We had prepaid for lunches, so grabbed those on the first floor and sat in the luncheonette area. The tour was only 90 minutes, but it was a completely different view of the city, and we had a great morning before heading into town.

There was also a small kitchenette, fireplace that came in handy on a very cold rainy day, and a living room area. The TV only works if you have a YouTube account. It was not important to us, but it may be to you, which is why I mention it. While some may describe it as 'shabby chic',we thought the rock walls and exposed beams were charming. We enjoyed looking out the big windows that overlooked the inner courtyard. The squirrels were quite entertaining. The bathroom was large and included both a tub and shower. While our reservation included breakfast each morning, we only ate there once. We found fruit, breads, pastry, boiled eggs, coffee, and juices. It was perfectly fine, but we found a nearby pastry and coffee place we enjoyed more. We'd happily stay here again if ever in Quebec City.

This was our second visit to Hotel Le Priori and we have loved both stays!…read more We arrived quite early so our room was not ready yet, but they held our luggage so we could go explore the city. When we checked back (still prior to regular check in time) our room was ready and they had already transferred our luggage there. We stayed in a suite, which is across a small courtyard from the main hotel. It's a big, cozy suite with a large living area with an electric fireplace, a kitchen, two beds, and a very large bathroom. A nice breakfast buffet is included with your stay. On our last night, the entire lower town lost electricity for four hours, but the staff handled everything very professionally and were super helpful. They handed out small flashlights and had the stairs illuminated with glow sticks. We were concerned that it would get very cold since the temperature outside was 19 degrees fahrenheit (-7 C), however those old houses were built to keep the cold out and it honestly did not get cold at all. We would not have even realized the heat was out if it weren't for the lights being out as well. If you're looking for a place to stay in the quiet Lower Town, we would highly recommend Le Priori!

The check-in process was effortless and they provided suggestions on tours and restaurants. There were brochures available at the front desk as well. Originally, before we arrived, I exchanged many emails with two of the staff through the Travelocity app; they were very thorough and prompt when responding. The daytime staff were more knowledgeable about the area and tours; unfortunately, the night staff, not so much. Julie helped us book the two bus tours and she ensured it was charged correctly. The room itself was spacious and just amazing. There was a CD player that was play some sorta music when we first walked in. The kitchen/bar area included pots/pans, a coffeemaker, stove and microwave, etc. This definitely made it easier for us to stock up on pastries and heat them. The fridge was too cold and turned the water to ice though. The bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. The TV only had a few English channel, so we we watched TLC every night. The bathroom had some sort of awful moldy/mildew smell. I couldn't figure out if it was the shower curtain or the cloth they use for cleaning. Another thing I noticed was there were a lot of randomly placed lights, but there wasn't enough central lighting. The hotel is located very close to the water. There are many restaurants and cafes near the hotel. It was easy to just wander around the area and not get lost. The VIA rail station was within walking distance, as was the tour bus pickup stop. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

First and foremost, its important to note that they allow dogs here and our room upon entry smelled like dog. The second concern was the wimpering of a neighbor's dog when we came home later one night. The biggest concern were the beds. There is no back support. I did ask for another room upon check-in and was told all the beds were the same and there were no other rooms. Thankfully my partner had the bright idea to use the comforter to fill in the gap and I was able to sleep with minimal back problems. The staff were nice to try to address the issue but at that point we were locked in.

We booked a room on the Gold Floor and had a great room, very small bathroom. The cleaning service was inconsistent. We got mouthwash after 3 days but not to start. No slippers like typical Fairmonts. The Gold Floor lounge is nice. Definitely not our favorite gold level lounge but still nice. Limited healthy protein options at breakfast. Vincent was our absolute favorite. We made an attempt to sit in his section every morning. His bright spirit was the perfect way to start the day. The bar downstairs is beautiful. It has limited seating and lots of non-guests want to experience it. The cocktails are so good and service is great. We are headed back in the winter and are looking forward to seeing it during the holidays.

On MARCH 1 we booked a JULY 12, 2024 11:30am Quebec City tour with Local Food Tours and received…read moreconfirmation with instruction to arrive 15 minutes early at Restaurant La Buche, 49 Rue Saint Louis. On July 10 at 12:23pm we received an email message that our tour was being cancelled "due to circumstances out of our (the tour company's) control." The company asked if we would be available on July 11 or July 13 for rebooking (we were NOT available). Less than one hour later (1:09pm to be exact) we received another email stating "You can disregard my previous email. I was able to find a solution." We responded, "Thank you. We will plan on our original reservation." On the day of the scheduled event (July 12, 20024) we arrived early at the restaurant for our 11:30am tour. At 11:22am, seeing neither a tour representative nor other tour participants, I telephone the tour company but only got an answering machine message, spoke in French (which I could not understand). At 11:29am I sent an email to the tour company stating, "We are waiting at La Buche but see no guide. Please confirm today's tour is planned as originally scheduled." Around the same time we learned from the guide of a different food tour group (but with the same tour company) that the starting point of our tour had apparently been changed. WE WERE NEVER NOTIFIED !!! At 1:10pm I finally received a call from a company representative who apologized for the situation. Our travel plans did not allow us to "reschedule" the tour, and by this time our disappointment and frustration at having been "stood up" led us to demand an immediate refund of the tour payment. We had believed this food tour would be a true HIGH POINT of our visit to Quebec City. Instead, it became a COMPLETE DISASTER. We have traveled to many places internationally over several decades and never, ever experienced such a failure to communicate
