My partner and I recently stayed for two nights at The Hotel Andante. The rooms are spacious,…read moreclean, modern and classy. The hotel theme concerns great composers with each room representing one composer. We were in the Bartok. Given its relative newness everything functioned well in addition the beds were comfortable. The staff is professional and friendly. The location is ideal if you want to stay in the historic district and it is less than two blocks to the main square (zocalo). The hotel has an elevator. The entrance is actually quite narrow and the hotel is fronted by what appears to be a bakery but is actually a cafe. We dined there for breakfast and were quite pleased (It is called Amadeus.) Perhaps the best surprise is the cost. We've stayed in comparable and sometimes lesser hotels for three times the money. In addition, eating out is less expensive than in other major cities in the US and Europe. Enjoy!
