Whenever in MI I have to go to s hookah place. This place is closer to home so I go there. This is not my first tine here. The place is spacious and it might get cramped in winter as the outdoor seating will be closed for the season. The best time is summer or fall to sit outside by the fire pit but again it's FCFS they should have couple more fire pits, The place is bit pricey compared to others . But service is quick and nice. They have some basic snacks and drinks. The hookahs are prepared good with orange bowls. It's a not a bad place though if you don't want to drive all the way to Dearborn. read more

My best friend and I love to go to iHookah Lounge to eat lunch and have a hookah (we bring our own food), wedding plan and hookah, or just plain chit chat and hookah. The staff is always friendly, they pretty much know our order when we walk in and sit down. They always bring charcoals when we need them, and the bill when we are ready. I liked this place a lot. It was overall one of the best lounges in Southeast Michigan. My friends and I have been there a number of times but hadn't been in a while before last weekend. Before last weekend, iHookah was, at it's worst a 4 star business. Friendly staff, great hookah, excellent atmosphere, and comfortable seating. My visit last week was the first in which much of that seemed to change. As we walked in at roughly quarter to 8, we were "greeted" by an employee who told us there would be a party that night and there would be a $10 cover charge for everyone coming in. Okay whatever, didn't have cash so I put up with the $3 ATM fee and we paid to get in (never happened there or anywhere else before). Mind you, we didn't plan on staying all night, and we weren't told what time the party was supposed to start when we paid. Also, the lounge lost other's business that night too as we witnessed 4-5 groups of people walk out after being told of the $10 cover charge. The service was alright at best. The waitress was friendly but didn't know much about hookah itself as she didn't know what a KM was when a friend asked for one. Not her fault, but it seems like a trend since what appeared to be new management took over. We ordered and watched the Pistons game on the television and waited for the "party" or whatever to start. The Pistons game ended as we were wrapping up an order of 2 hookahs and it was just after 9:30. We had to drive home to Flint so we weren't able to stay any longer and wait for the party to start. We wanted to stay for the "party" (which, I don't know what was even going to happen when they play loud music and have dim and atmospheric lightning all night anyway) but we couldn't so we wanted to talk to someone about getting our collective $40 back. The guy then told us it starts at 10 and that he couldn't help us if we can't stay any longer. Sorry, but in my eyes, that's low. We stayed for 2 hours wondering if we were going to get our money's worth, especially seeing as we bought $30 worth of hookah plus 7% gratuity per person (never experienced that at other lounges). Before that night, I would have recommended iHookah in high regards to anyone looking for a lounge but not anymore. The mediocre service, the rip off, the uninformed staff, and the added unexpected gratuity, was just too much crap for a group of customers to sift through in one night. If you want great hookah from a business that is only interested in your cash, iHookah is the lounge for you. read more

Met with a group of friends here today. We checked online during dinner to be sure they would be open at 11:30 when we arrived. To our surprise, as we pulled up park, the staff immediately shut off the open sign and lights. When my friend asked what was happening, one of the staff mentioned a family emergency and closed the door. As our group began to drive off, two girls were let inside and began to smoke hookah with the male staff in the back as another car pulled up to meet them. I gave this place another shot because it's under new ownership, and I must say, the service is worse than it was previously. They do not honor their hours; I attempted to go twice during their posted hours, and it was closed both times. I finally was able to get in, and I was highly unimpressed. The hookah quality was average, the service was slow and unfriendly, and there is an overwhelming scent of cigarette smoke (yes, I get the irony in that, but there's something much more pungent about cigarette scent than hookah scent). I don't have a single complaint about this hookah bar whatsoever. One time my head wasn't hitting quite correctly, so I asked for some help and the guy agreed and have me a new head and hookah for free. They really take care of their customers. I can't compare to another spot, as it is my first hookah experience ever. That being said, I really enjoyed it! I chose vanilla flavor with a regular head. It was tasty and smelled divine. Pros: There is a button for service or the bill, which means the staff leaves you alone and you can just hang out. There is a HUGE flavor selection. There are directions right in the menu for newbies. They also serve beverages and snacks. Comfy couches. Cons: Easy to drive by the place, especially if following GPS directions. I would've preferred to share a head with my hubby instead of having 2. The snacks & pricing for them are a bit weird (e.g. Beef stick $2, tic tacs $1). Appetizers are over-priced (e.g. $10 falafel). I've been here twice it started off GREAT and it's getting better! Tons of flavor choices, personal tv's, comfy clean couches, clean bathrooms, tasty food, amazing staff, tasty food, nice interior design and decorating scheme, and they're making a patio with couches! You should definitely come here! Every table has a button with 3 buttons that are: call, cancel, and bill. They are quick and put the tobacco in halved fruit! pretty much been hooked on the iHookah Lounge from my first visit. service is always great. Ive try the double Apple , melon mountain mint, cocojumbo with and without fuzzy lemonade (try it bofore you,say,yuck!) And tonight is the irsh peach white mint, also a winner. they will even bring in awesome Middle Eastern food from Le Chef next door. Oh,and the patio is open now too! Well, this is unfortunate. I actually really used to like this place; it was actually one of the first upscale hookah establishments my friend and I have ever been to. The last time we were here (about a year ago), this place was still giving excellent service! But it has changed quite a bit, apparently. Upon arrival, we were immediately stopped at the door and notified of a $10 cover charge per person. Asking them why we were being forced to give additional $40 on top of our tab, they said there was going to be a party that evening (one that we didn't intend to stay for). We had already driven from Flint to enjoy ourselves, so we trudged to the nearby ATM and pulled out the necessary money to just sit down. Ordering started off rocky when the hostess was unaware what a Khalil Mamoon hookah was (more of a funny moment than anything else), but two minutes after ordering, they set the check down right in front of us... before we saw a hint of our products. It was strange, but we waited patiently and eventually got our short Starbuzz hookahs with fruit heads. Upon our first draw of smoke, I could tell that something wasn't right. The draw on both hookahs were very constricted. By this point, I was completely dissatisfied and found no reason to complain about the hookahs-- nothing could be done by that point. While we were sitting there and trying to enjoy ourselves, we sat for the duration of an entire Detroit Pistons basketball game that was playing on the television. Apart from the few groups that entered in that time, there was no mentioned "party" that would have validated paying the additional $40 when we walked in the door. Having paid our bill with included gratuity, we stood up and walked to the front to demand our $40 cover charge back. They just shrugged and told us there was nothing they could do. Amazing. From what I've been told, there has been a change in management since the last time we came to iHookah. While I understand that cover charges are a standard part of public events at lounges, there shouldn't be any for private parties-- especially four hours before it is supposed to start. It's a shame when a business changes it's priority from service to just making a quick buck. Shameful, honestly. I couldn't recommend this place; there are better lounges out there to experience hookah with friends. read more

It was my very first time smoking hookah, and the place is very easy to pass by. I swear I drove past it 4 times and never did see it! So when I finally got there, the atmosphere is amazing! The place is just okay. Not too great for hangout. The service is nor too prompt and they take so much time to serve you or even give you a bill. The hookah is good but it is expensive and not reasonably priced. We had to pay 38$ for one hookah and 4 people where 5$ was included already as a gratitude which is ridiculous. This is the only hookah place charging a gratituity price. The same hookah and same number of people and better service will cost me 20$ at blue hookah lounge in west Bloomfield hills. Not a good review here! We was treated rudely! My friends & I sat at the fire pit table and ordered. It was only 3 of us that wanted to smoke, so they said you must buy 2 hookahs. I never heard of this policy so we politely asked to see it in writing. The manager got upset and said get out! Now I've been there before several times and I like it so I tried to talk to Pierre calmly. And he said quickly " I have nothing else to say get out, SECURITY !!!! I've come to this location a few times! It does get back in the evening. If you want to sit outside for the fire pits I suggest you get there early. There are only a few of them and people linger. The seating inside is a bunch of couches, they do have some cool games like a pool table and some digital games! They have a box at every couch/booth.. it has a call button so it's easy to just press the button when you have a question or need a coal change. The flavor is good and the hookahs smoke well. They use disposable hoses. They do have orange heads. Note: it is pricey. There another place I like that is $13 for hookah. This place after tip will probably bring you to $27. Staff is friendly and accommodate you well. They have a DJ booth and on the weekends they have different dj's roll though. No sure if they have food, but they do have snacks and drinks! I like the outdoor seating for the summer time! And sometimes Dearborn is too far! read more

When this lounge first opened their neat gadgets and service was unique and fun. Today, the service has declined drastically, and as you wait patiently for your hookah (a good half hour, on slow days) you'll be left beyond frustrated wondering what 4-5 employees are doing just standing behind the front counter. Not only is the service slow thanks to the employees, but the employees themselves are beyond rude, with a tendency to always claim booths are reserved even when the lounge is empty! If I could've rated it any lower I would've, I've been to this establishment plenty of times and somehow it seems to get worse each time I choose to use their services. The staff members lack basic customer service skills and always throws an attitude when you're opposing something, and as the customer they should be doing whatever they possibly can to keep us content. A partner and I opted to come here instead of our usual hookah lounge and it was the worst decision that we could've ever made! We were served the wrong hookah flavor, which they insisted was the flavor we ordered, and they charged us for changing it to something else. Our charcoal was changed whenever they felt like it and when we went to the counter - since our buzzer was never answered after we literally raped the button- the staff members seemed uneasy as if we were interrupting them during a break. I've never been hard to satisfy but this establishment has left me with such a disgust and as a patron i will make sure i spend my dollars elsewhere before stepping another foot in this building.
