Very disappointed with this service. I believe the therapists are moonlighting from day jobs at schools, at least Dan is. We had a few virtual sessions with him and they don't take insurance so it was pricey. Nevertheless we had every intention of a long term, weekly commitment after interviewing them and other options. Dan's bio says he has experience with ASD but it was not evident in our sessions and ultimately the needs of our high functioning ASD child were the excuse he gave to quit. My son has issues after changing schools and having gaps in learning that left him needing help formulating thoughts into essay type form to keep up with fourth grade. But Dan went way too fast, showing videos then shooting questions at the boy and typing onto an online form on our screen. He bounced around a lot. He rephrased what the boy said when he typed it. The pace was too fast. I didn't find Dan particularly personable as he just kept calling our child "my friend" over and over and talks VERY fast. He didn't give our son time to think and answer his questions before he asked again or talked over him trying to think. I asked Dan a few times to slow it down - the talking and the sessions overall. Also to give a break partway through the session since it was so dense (and the boy was obviously visually in need of a break although he did his best to sit and focus for 45 minutes straight). The video concept is a great learning tool and engaging to our son, but he needed fewer videos per session and to master a skill himself. Dan said we weren't set up for him to type on the screen from home, which we very much were but he never asked. I simply asked Dan to slow down and let our child focus because frankly as an adult sitting there through the entire session I was exhausted by Dan's presentation and I was also not following/learning any sort of method at all. Instead of making any adjustments, Dan discontinued service. I had also understood we'd get at least some sort of plan for the therapy and get some feedback along the way but all I got (after asking multiple times) was a link to a disorganized google doc from Dan, with random things in it and the essays he'd filled in himself. He wanted to use session time for parent discussion when Kris had said discussion was unbilled and outside session time. Dan said he didn't have time to talk to me except during paid session time. Kris offered another therapist who also was moonlighting from a day job at school. After waiting for a proposed schedule, he then told us he was too busy during the school year. Kris refused any refund even though the sessions with Dan were not useful at all, and we will need to start over elsewhere after spending a lot of time and a big chunk of this spring semester on their intake and getting started with Dan, and getting buy-in from the child and starting to develop a relationship - which is not a small thing with a special needs child. We have no chance of doing anything meaningful with another speech therapist by end of fourth grade and will have to devote summer. A VERY disappointing experience. I chose Kris and to pay out of pocket because of the Yelp reviews, so I wanted to provide another perspective to consider. I asked repeatedly for them to slow down (ie even more sessions and money for them) and for a refund since it was not useful and was shut down at every turn. read more

These guys have been amazing. We've worked with two speech therapists within this group in the last 2 years and both were fantastic. When things had to switch to virtual, I was not totally confident our then 3 year old would handle it well. Aida however worked her magic and within a really short time had my daughter so engaged and looking forward to her sessions. In addition to increased articulation and verbalization, I've seen a huge increase in confidence with my little girl - she is so proud of the work she does with her special buddy Aida. Aida is pretty much my hero - she makes sessions so fun and entertaining. She also does an excellent job communicating with me - helping me understand how best to support my daughter. All in all I really couldn't endorse these guys any more!! read more

Kris is awesome! She's been working with my sons for two years. One has moved on to a school for dyslexic students (tho Kris works with him in the summer) and the other still works with her weekly. Ben has made great strides with his reading and is at beginning grade level, which is amazing! Kris can weave in social-emotional lessons as well as work on speech issues and reading delay. She is incredibly motivated, organized and great with the kiddos. She has gone out of her way to help us and get us the right help we need. We couldn't be happier working with her. read more

Our 6 year old son has been working with Dan via virtual sessions for the past few months and we couldn't be happier with the results! Kris worked wonders with our son. He was having a hard time with pre-school, and we were fearful of how he was going to do in Kindergarten. Kris jumped right in, and our sons progress this past year has been phenomenal. Kris is 150% invested in the children she works with, and is exceptionally skilled in her work. Kris and her team are just such a pleasure to work with. Her team helps my teenage daughter work on conversation skills. Dan and Aida are excellent therapists and know how to engage kids. They make speech therapy fun by using a variety of therapy tools and frameworks, along with tool likes using clips from tv shows like the Big Bang Theory and the Jerry Seinfeld show to demonstrate different degrees of social and conversational skills so that they can teach Devin how to analyze the right and wrong way to convey a message (body language, tone of voice, verbal output, etc.) It's such a good tool to use with kids. Keeps them so engaged and it's effective. They're also very flexible in finding what works for my daughter and also in incorporating existing goals with more immediate goals when issues arise during the school week. They also have very different styles and approaches to therapy and I like working with two therapists since different approaches keeps my daughter on her toes. Kris is also a wonderful therapist and owner who will figure out which therapist fits best with your child. All three are just really professional, prompt in replying, great in communication with parents. They are zoom savvy as well. read more

Kris has been delightful to work with and was absolutely the perfect person to help my 13 year old son with his lisp. She made their meetings pleasant and productive and has helped him to learn techniques that have corrected his lisp in a very short time. Kris is a gem to work with and our kids love her! She was responsive to our needs and schedules from the first time she came to see us. Our son has autism and she totally "gets" him. He loves to work with KRIS (he yells with glee as she walks in the door). Our daughter also works with Kris, our daughter had issues with her speech (english was a second language). At school our daughter was struggling in several areas - with her friends and teachers she was not being well understood (exercises and tongue twisters have helped a great deal) and she struggled in her school work due to poor reading comprehension. We spent $1000's at LindamoodBell, but saw little significant and ongoing change. We decided to try Kris, and get a home tutor. Kris has been spectacular. She immediately placed both kids on a online program called Science Learning. It has been amazing for the kids, helping them to improve their grammar and reading comprehension. We believe in part (along with other interventions) has helped our daughter move from barely passing her classes to highly proficient (A's and B's) in her year end report card. Her SRI score has gone from low to mid- upper of her class range. For our son it has helped him generally with focus, reading and his conversational skills. We believe both Kris and the SL are untapped resources for kids on the spectrum. We highly recommend her, but we still use her so don't take all the good spots!!! :) read more

Kris started seeing our 6 yo son in Aug 2015 for some speech issues that were identified in his Kindergarten year, and she saw him weekly until Dec 2015. We were really happy with Kris's work with our son. She was quite adept at sensing his needs, helping him with his speech issues but also the related social issues that would come up during their sessions. She is a skilled, knowledgeable, and professional therapist, and made the sessions quite enjoyable for my son (he was really quite sad when he found out about their last session). In addition to her actual speech therapy expertise, I appreciated Kris's responsiveness to my questions, accommodations to our changing schedules (she had sessions at our house and at the school), prompt billing, calm and supportive demeanor, and honesty about the work that my son needed or didn't need. We had seen other speech therapist (for this son and my other son), and by far, I think Kris has been the best one. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a child speech therapist. And she is also very nice! read more
