I have considered giving up many times, but thought it was just my lack of balance causing the problems. My brother recently bought a board, 32 inches wide, and I have discovered that my board is only 30 inches wide. Not a lot, but enough to make a difference to a novice. The guy at reactive was more interested in selling me an expensive board than one suited to my lack of experience, which I should have expected really, because he is a salesman after all.

Alex couldn't have been more helpful and I changed the coat over before having a look around the store. It was larger than I'd expected and there's certainly a lot of quality stuff on sale. I was tempted by some of the colourful outdoor clothes and backpacks but didn't buy anything on that occasion.

Also the quality of the bait available at Clive's is not the best. The peeler crab was ropey to put it mildly, ragworm - stinky and half dead and lugworm the same. Lugworm was ok at first but they don't last more than a day if you don't use them all. They should last a good three or four days, or so, when wrapped in newspaper and kept cold. Convenient for tackle but get your bait elsewhere.

I always find the window the most interesting part of the shop as it carries postcards and posters with information of local clubs and activities, items for sale and small businesses, builders decorators and that type of thing.
