This is one of the best Chinese herb and ginseng store in the area, they are clean, high quality,…read moreand trustworthy. We can buy in person or call in to get things mailed. The store manager is friendly and sincere, she always gives us a complimentary pause check and patiently interacting with us to understand our issue and conditions. She then provides a number of helpful tips and solutions. The herb they carry are high quality at reasonable prices. They also carry many health food, such as a tea for diabetes which works well for me. We really appreciate their service and will keep coming back.

I started to trust this place a little more than my local acupuncturist. After having my 3rd baby,…read moreI kinda half-assed the postpartum recovery that I did for my body after my first 2 kids...(for many Asians like Chinese postpartum is no joke. I took it as a joke but learned my lesson the hard way. Staying warm, not using cold water to wash hands, not drinking or eating cold stuff, staying away from using the AC for a few months. Because supposedly after you have a baby all your bones are cracked wide open and vulnerable to cold stuff to get in, trapped, and make you suffer later.) My body was in a very horrible condition even 1-2 years after childbirth. Just a little spoon of ice cream or any cold food brought about a headache almost instantaneously and overall bad feeling, there was no more ice cold smoothies, bapbimsoo, ice coffee, none of that! I drank hot Americanos even on the hottest days, steam coming out of my head and sweat dripping down my temples. Although my acupuncturist put me on the hot infrared bed to "beat the cold out" of my body a few times as well as using the needles, the red korean ginseng ($35 a bottle/ yes cheaper than amazon so don't everyone rush in here at once or i may no longer get it here at this humble price lol) this place staff recommended me really helped in kicking that plague of cold out of the ballpark. Just a tiny spoon (half a teaspoon?) everyday (I think the the daughter said), and see if it energizes you. If so, then you can keep on taking it she said. It did, and after about 3-4 months, people said I looked much better, I felt much better, and I snuck in my first iced americano without a hiccup! Still I stay away from cold food and drinks on most days because I don't want to take too many steps backward just for a brief moment on paradise, but it's a big difference to have that option open up for me again! (Note: it did give me a huge appetite boost in the beginning so no matter how much I ate I could always have more food but that was probably what my body needed to get better. I still take it 1-3 x a week to maintain. Another thing, my kids had been coughing, like it will keep going for several coughs in the morning, and then stop for the rest of the day, and no it's not covid! Turns out as the lady in the back told me, since smog and pollution tends to linger and get stuck in the air of the San Gabriel "valley," it's good to take some herbs that "moisturize" the lungs. (润肺) She suggested making my own brew of polygonati (玉竹)apricot kernels (雙马牌)and sea coconut (海底椰)。Each pack was about $6-10 but can be used 4-8 times. She said to add some apple or pear slices and/or rock sugar to sweeten up the taste and give it to the whole family. She gave me a free medicinal pack sample to try at home. I preached this gospel to her, and I got the free sample pack for the hacking cough to try at home before I buy the next time in larger quantities, so I wouldn't say getting a free sample pack is a guarantee for everyone, but just to let you know that I happened to get a free sample pack (and perhaps why) and that ended up working out for me. Yes our coughs did get better eventually, but I'm not sure if it was because of the medicinal pack. By the way the Gospel is Jesus washed away all the sins of the world, past, present, future, at the cross 2000 + years ago, that's why the Bible says you have been perfected forever. It does not say that you have to do well and then "maybe" you'll go to heaven, it says that God has perfected us forever, that's why we'll go to heaven for sure. It's completely different. One will leave us in constant condemnation, exhaustion, and being mean to everyone with "you should have," the other will leave us free inside our hearts with joy. For us to say we have sin (is to ask Jesus to come back and die again--blasphemy! and if we say we have to perfect ourselves forever until the day we die and ask for forgiveness, that is nothing short of a demonic thought implanted by the sly and slick devil. (If you keep asking Mike to give you back your book, did Mike give it back? And if Mike already gave me the book, do I need to keep asking for it? If we already received the forgiveness of sins, then do we still need to keep on praying and asking for it? And if I am praying and asking daily for the forgiveness of my sins, does that mean I received the forgiveness of sins or not? If I have not yet received the forgiveness of sins, can the Holy Spirit come onto me, let alone dare to touch me with a 10-foot pole?) If we have any doubts always go back to the word of God: Hebrews 10:14 KJV says "For by one offering we have been perfected forever." "Oh I cannot say I'm perfect, that would be outrageous and arrogant." Who am I trusting, the word or myself? Are we more right? Then we can't accept it. However if life is tough and beats us up that we have no more strength to say no, then yes we are perfect forever, thank you Jesus. Then mission accomplished for God.

First time visitor to this store…read more I was about to run out of protein at home and headed to Costco to purchase my regular 4 lb bag of protein until I stumbled upon this store on the way to the freeway Parking can be a bit challenging as there is a LA Fitness gym adjacent to this store and most spots are taken by people visiting the gym. That was the ONY negative. Now the good stuff: The store was fully stocked with so many health related products and well organized As soon I stepped inside, I was greeted with a, "welcome" though the gentleman behind the counter was assisting another customer. After a minute or two of looking around, this store employee who I would discover later, is the owner (I am TRULY sorry that I forgot your name. I believe it was Danny or Andrew?) asked me if I had any questions about any of the products which I did and glad he asked me I explained that I was on my own weight loss journey and simply need a good protein intake while on my quest to drop the lbs for good. After answering a few questions I was asked, I was directed to a huge canister/tub of chocolate or vanilla flavored protein. I was explained the benefits of porting and specifically the protein I was about to purchase which I truly appreciated. I love chocolate and I also prefer a round container as opposed to what they offer at Costco. The transaction went very smooth, I leaned a few things about protein and there was no attempt to try to upsell me to purchase other products. This store is 30-35 minutes from my home but it is definitely the only place I will purchase all my future nutritional products bcos of this one, initial positive experience. Thank you!!

As soon as I entered the store, I noticed a female employee(jordy) eyes glance up really quick from behind the register and her uncomfort gaze followed me and my bf as we browsed at the store items. She went to the back stock room and urgently came out with a male employee. Their eyes followed us closely throughout our visit. At first, I thought it might be standard customer service, but it quickly became clear that there was an odd intensity to their attention. It felt invasive and made me highly self-conscious. What was even more troubling were the subtle, yet unmistakable signs of racial bias that I sensed during my time there. I believe that every customer deserves to feel safe and respected, regardless of their background. Regrettably, I felt judged and unwelcome, which is a sentiment I never expected to encounter in a retail environment. It's disheartening to think that there are still places where certain individuals might be treated differently based on their race. As we approached the counter to pay for our items, I reached for a pill container on displayand the make employee moved a small tip jar away as it was near the pill holder product... weird. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I won't be returning to this location. I hope the management takes steps to ensure that all customers are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve, regardless of who they are. I would recommend that fellow shoppers consider their options before visiting this store. It's a shame, as I had high hopes for this place, but my experience has made it clear that improvement is needed.

The GNC website clearly states that online purchases may be returned to a GNC retail store. Although I explained this to the female employee whom I believe is Judy, she didn't care and shoo'd me away. She had an absolutely crappy ass attitude and rude tone of voice. This store is the local GNC I shop at, but not anymore, I'm never coming back after today's incident. To be fair, Corporate GNC is at some fault for this return policy and should provide updated company policy training to all stores. It may be helpful to differentiate the "franchise owned" versus "corporate owned" stores and adjust their return policy because it sure isn't universal across the board since these franchise owned stores don't follow policy and apparently can do whatever they want... because verbatim "the store takes a loss for online order returns" -judy.
