We couldn't have been more thrilled with every aspect of our visit. It felt like our home from the minute we walked in the door. Elaine, Mike and Jo welcomed us as if we were family, they provided us with a fantastic room, outstanding food, and overwhelming friendship from the minute we met. The treat their guests like family by providing a warm, relaxing, inspiring environment. The weather was unexpectedly horrible and so when we found ourselves snowed in on our morning of departure they let us stay as long as we needed to, gave us free food and drink for our road trip once the roads had cleared, and even let us help shovel snow with them that morning in an effort to share some laughs and blow off our travel frustrations. We look forward to returning, staying with them, and experiencing more great memories together! If you are ever in Pateley Bridge and can't stay the night, at least find reason to stop in for a drink or a bite...you won't regret it!

It sits in Ribble Valley and still holds much of the original foundation. There are frequent events, such as themed teas and dinners, workshops, Christmas festivities, and wedding showcases. There is plenty of parking and a lot of space for weddings, large events, conferences, etc. We came here for a Saturday night dinner with friends. There was a wedding going on which seemed to take up much of the foyer and bar area, but luckily we came right after they moved into the large event space joining the bar. I'm not sure why wedding guests are mixed with the general public bar/dining areas - that seems to be a flaw here. Dinner was very much ~okay~, but I was kind of expecting a lot more given how luxurious and historical this venue is. The service was very slow and inattentive. Food was average. A few staff were hard at work while others just stood there chatting. When we were given dessert wine instead of port, we were told we were wrong and had to essentially convince the server to switch our incorrect drinks out - which should never happen at a nice restaurant. I give this venue a good rating due to the ambiance, but I certainly would recommend vast improvement in service.

It's not the most impressive place to look at from the outside but the hall offers some good events. It's a main central focal point of the area and is probably one of the main places to check out if you want to try something a bit different. First up, you'll find fairs galore. The Giant Military and Collectables fair is a regular activity and attracts quite a number of stalls and people alike. Throughout the year there are also toy fairs and craft shows. One of my favourite events is the Leeds CAMRA beer, cider and perry festival. You may've guessed booze would be involved somewhere down the line and yes I don't like to disappoint. You'll be able to sup silly named ales, drink around the world and then fall out of the door into a taxi. It's not big and it's not clever but it's lots of fun. So if you want to think somewhat out of the box (oh dear I've gone into management jargon now, flog me now), then this is a cracking option to look at.

The drinks selection was ok and fairly standard but there were some great local beers on - my dad and myself especially enjoyed the 'Maid Marian' hoppy beer! The food on offer was typically pub (basically crossing every type of food across the world and back again...) but the fish and chips were great, salmon looked tasty and my dads linguine hit the spot. Most mains were under a tenner. Overall a great place to visit and I'd happily go back again tomorrow!

The ambience in there is very fitting for snooker, very little noise so you can concentrate on your shots. Overall a really nice spot.

The drum kit, for example, even appeared to have a Grolsch bottle. Exciting times. The space, much like The Grand, is a stunner. You could sit and take in the ceiling detail alone for a good hour, with the gorgeous detail and exquisite colour. I've always been intrigued by the curious and slightly socialist style statements painted high on the walls, and loved exploring the holding cells every light night. Here's hoping there's something special on again this year. In any case, being situated around a number of excellent bars and eateries, it's the perfect spot to check out some fantastic music from the International Concert Season programme, and then nip across town for a post-event sup. If you've still not managed to check it out, go have a goosey gander. It's one of our local treasures!

Leeds Beer Festival!!! Bloody brilliant…read more I truly think that there could have been scope for a huge amount of music but there wasn't! I also think that the booklet was vastly under informative. There was a fantastic list of breweries and he beers they sold. But there was no specific and accurate detail of where hey actually were. But the company made this beer Fest for me. Roweena was funny and amazing but Tori was an absolute Angel who kept us all together. From drinking to sing songs and back to drinking. This was an amazing event made so much more better because of the friends who were there. Fist bump anyone??
