A wonderful clinic that made the experience of pregnancy, birth, and post-natal care much smoother…read morefor my spouse and I as first-time parents. From our first contact with Julia (a super-organized and detailed person who brilliantly handled the intake arrangements and the scheduling of all appointments over a full year), to our final appointment with the midwives team last week holding our beautiful and healthy two-month old baby, they were careful, thorough, and sensitive to all of our needs, cultural preferences, and questions. We also appreciated that they each reviewed our birth plan line-by-line in separate appointments, made sure that we had informed and current information to draw from, and that everyone was on the same page, which made the delivery smoother and allowed us to focus more on being there for each other. Our team included Andrea (well-versed on a wide range of topics and was able to anticipate and speak to all the needs that we shared and some we didn't even see coming!), Aly (who took lots of time to talk us through anything we were unfamiliar with or anxious about and made us smile during each visit), and Ilana and Kaelyn (the midwife and apprentice who delivered the baby at Victoria General Hospital and gave us extra care and attention throughout). It had never occurred to us until this past year that we could have a team of experts managing our care and each giving us their knowledge and experience through monthly and later-on weekly appointments both before and after the delivery. All of them were kind, sensitive, caring, and enthusiastic during each visit and made our lives so much easier. They were also very accessible throughout, including by phone and by pager. We definitely recommend them to anyone looking for midwives, especially if you are first-time parents.

We are leaders, teachers, writers, advocates, and mothers, working at home and abroad to ensure safe, nurturing, client-centered care for all pregnant people. Our clinic is accessible, child-friendly, and community-focused. We are located in central Victoria, just past the intersection of Cook & Yates. We regularly host evening events and workshops, focusing on the journey from pregnancy into parenthood. (See our upcoming events in resources.) We have on-site parking and are well served by public transit. Our building offers a Lifelabs and a Rexall pharmacy, as well as its own café, and is fully wheelchair & stroller accessible. We look forward to hearing from you, and supporting you through pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum.

I addressed a few health issues, which none of the doctors in walk in clinic, would really care about. Dr. Cole took her time to listen, understand and offered the best treatment. I was very happy to find this Clinic and grateful for all the help. Sometimes it gets really-really hard to find a good doctor in Victoria.

I heard great things about naturopathic medicine so I found my way to Dr. Cashin at Juniper Family Health. She took the time to go over my history and understand the issues I've been having and she told me about something called SIBO (which until now I hadn't read too much about, even with my IBS research online). I took a test and was so relieved. After three years of suffering, I finally knew why I was having so many issues (including fatigue). I've been in treatment now for about two months and I feel SO. MUCH. BETTER. If only I had gone in earlier. I love that Juniper Family Health also has other members on staff to contribute to your care, including a great nutritionist and another doctor who helped me get vitamins through an IV drip for the last four weeks. I feel very well cared for, and I always feel like the staff listens and pays a great deal of attention to my health concerns. Until going in to have naturopathic treatment I had almost given up and now I feel like I have more of my life back. I'm starting to feel normal for the first time in years!
