Paul and Dreen, the owners of this gorgeous and homey B&B, are aome of the kindest and most welcoming people you could meet. I live in London as a postgraduate student, but my parents came to visit me and we took a trip to Stratford-upon-Avon and stayed here. It was one of the highlights of our trip!
The B&B is a stunning Grade II listed house. The house was originally Queen Victoria's spa she opened when she was still princess. One month later, she was crowned Queen -of course, I only know this because Dreen gladly an intelligently shared it with us. The house is decorated beautifully. All of the rooms are cozy with comfortable beds, clean sheets, fluffy duvets, and plush pillows. As expected, each room has a tea and coffee spot with kettle and added yummy biscuits. The B&B is right on the river and you can walk along it, which is lovely. Although it's a gorgeous, historical estate, it is high class and up to date with all the amenities, free wifi and TVs.
The breakfast is delicious and high class! They is a wide selection of starters like prunes, yogurt, grapefruit, various fresh fruits, large cereal selection and more. as well all the traditional main breakfast goodies you could want, such as full English, and kippers.
Dreen and Paul gave us many tips about traffic, parking, places to go, things to see, whee to eat-everything you could want and need! Upon leaving Dreen even told me to write to her and visit after my parents leave because it's hard being so far away from home (America). It was so kind and loving. Also, we were leaving on the day of Shakespeare's Birthday celebrations so traffic was horrendous. Dreen offered and drove us through side streets as we followed her car to avoid the traffic!
I can't say enough great things about this B&B and these people. I promise you will be in for a real treat! :) read more
