They found that a previous repair had failed, and they weren't sure it could be re-fixed. They took a fair amount of time removing the old patch and roughing up the surface enough for a new one. For all their trouble, they only charged me $25. This was two weeks and a lot of miles ago, and no sign of any leak in the tire. Thanks, Gordo's, you kept my vacation on track.

Nathaniel and Jimmy helped us out and said the fuel injectors looked okay and didn't need to be replaced at this time, just recommended getting a fuel injector cleanser and use premium gas for a couple of weeks. The entire team is nice and very reasonable with prices. I'm glad I went to them and will go to them in the future.

He got the car lifted and the oil came out fine, but when it came to changing out the filter, he ran into a problem. The oil filter was put back on too tight. He said this tightness is all too typical with these Toyotas. It was a risk of breaking the aluminum casing that holds the oil filter and a couple of days to get the part from San Antonio if it breaks. So he just changed the oil and did not charge me for the oil filter and the labor. The bill was just $51. I will need to go San Antonio to the Toyota dealer to have the filter changed. I was glad that Allen was honest and walked me through the process and did not charge me, except for the oil. Most of all, I am glad to have had my car kept intact. This situation could have gone bad. He put air in my tires, even my spare tire. He did well and I would definitely return to this shop. Thank you Allen and Beth.

They fixed the brake issue with new brake pads and rotors on the driver side and said they repaired the passenger side. it still makes a slight grinding sound on the passenger side. That evening my wife was driving the truck and the brake and ABS light come on. I'll take the truck back to them and they charge me $55 in addition to the $330 I paid to have the brakes fixed. The $55 charge amounted to low brake fluid and the float sticking. I have managed technicians for 35 years and would have never charged a customer the additional amount to do something that should have been checked when the initial job was done . I do not recommend this repair shop.

The closest dealer told me there was a 3 week wait to get them to look at my car, so I called the front desk of my motel, and they said Cooling's was highly respected. Well, Jimmy was super! He quickly helped me realize that the problem was probably just water in the gas, told me what I could add to the tank to relieve the issue (and where to get it because he doesn't sell it as a retail item). We took off in the rain, feeling quite a bit better, until the 'Check Engine,' light started calling me! I turned around, went right back to Cooling's, and again (without any chance of making a dime from me) Jimmy reassured me that seeing the 'Check Engine,' light was exactly the right response from my car, as it would tell my mechanic back in Austin exactly what the problem is. If Cooling's (and Jimmy) provide this type of outstanding service for folks who aren't spending a dime with them (Jimmy couldn't start taking my car apart until late that day, and I was to go home early the next morning) their service for paying customers must be legendary! He made sure to explain to me exactly what was wrong with my vehicle and the options that I had.
