The vegetarian vermicelli Buddha's feast was so good I wanted to lick the bowl. Flavorful, tasty, filling.
This is the kind of good food where, even though you're full and you've already finished your own food, you start looking at other customers' plates to get inspired and start planning for your next visit.
I literally had to double-check that my meal was vegetarian, because it was so delicious, I wondered if some of it had hints of meat smuggled in. At that point I didn't even care; I was just so happy to be eating it.
I like how they have a tidy little area set up for water, condiments, and take-away boxes for customers to get whenever they need.
The place (including bathroom) is very clean, and the whole environment is sweet, artistic, and cosy.
My dining companion enjoyed their Rare Beef Pho very much. Vietnamese Joint's beef pho is apparently is as equally delicious as--and diverges interestingly in good ways from--our favourite pho place (Vietnamese owned and run) back in Colorado.
Iced coffee was prettily presented and nice and strong, with a perfect balance of sweet and coffee. Even the shape and size of ice cubes was mindfully chosen.
We decided on a whim, with a short lunch break, to have a quick bowl of pho, and I just google-mapped us to the nearest one. What a gorgeous surprise to have thoughtful and delicious food, beautifully presented, and relatively quickly from ordering to table considering how busy the restaurant was.
Coming from the American dollar, I felt like this place's prices might mean it was fancier than I was anticipating, but when I adjusted for not only the exchange rate but also no need for a 25% tip, the prices are very comparable.
Locals obviously love coming in to pick up lunch from nearby workplaces.
Staff is helpful, unobtrusive, and friendly.
The small menu is a sign of a restaurant that excels in what it does offer: I can't wait to try out their other vegetarian options (not sure if they have a tofu banh mi, but I would be keen!) and their desserts.
100% recommend this place. read more
