I had a Viking contract for 2 years, probably spent $2000 and only got many mouse traps and monthly service calls. They were good about coming out to collect mice in traps, but they wont actually go into the attic. Won't put poison in the outside bait boxes, just use an enticer to guage activity by how much vermin sharpened their teeth on the bait. Won't fix an opening. Finally, the problem became so severe that a chipmunk tunneled under our paver stoop and it collasped. That would be yet another contract, not covered but mine. I ended up firing Viking and hired another competitor who was expensive but fixed the entry points, made repairs and in 2 months has the issue under control (so far). I lived with scratching and chewing noises in the walls and attic for 2 years; I could have set mouse traps myself! read more

I'm a long time customer of Viking, and I have always been happy with their service. this time I was so disappointed! I called a bout a rat bait box that was torn apart and asked if I could have someone come out to replace it. I was told by the girl on the phone she would try her best to get someone out to replace it. she also told me someone would call me today either way. I've been a customer of viking for over 2 years and have never been disappointed. They always come out ASAP should I call and mention a new bug trying to move in, and even have come and offered advice when we find something they don't deal with (we found 2 huge rat snakes living in our crawlspace.) On the 4th of July we found a ground hornets nest right next to our pool, called viking the next day and they said they would be out a week later (due to their workload they were a little behind but said if they had a time slot open up they would let me know.) 2 days later I received a call stating that they can come out the next day. Two technicians arrived "Austin L" and "Anthony A", after discussing the issue and advising us what would be done and what to expect, they suited up and handled the issue perfectly. They didn't just spray chemicals and leave, they removed the underground nest, sprayed around it and also plugged a hole that was created recently by a new HVAC installation. Couldn't be happier! I recommend that everyone give Viking a try. Great service and even better employees. read more

For 10+ years dealt with Viking pest control, they come every 3 to 6 months when they are supposed to come every 30 days they come spray one spot ask me if I have seen any pest then they go on about their business. This is very unacceptable. read more

This company is by far the absolute worst. If you value your time, money, and sanity stay away. Once a year only once a year they're supposed to come out and check the subterranean termite baiting stations. I paid $437 to have baiting stations installed and baited, then every month they charged my credit card $45.45. The guys that are supposed to do the annual check are unreliable and will show up on a different day then scheduled. I have a fenced yard that is locked so they can't possibly check all the stations if they show up on the wrong day. One guy came out and I left the gates open and he noted that all the stations were checked. I had left my house and trusted this guy to check all the stations and when I got home I checked to see if in fact he checked them all. Well in fact most weren't checked because you can tell the grass/dirt had been disturbed and it wasn't. So that is THEFT BY DECEPTION. I called the company and they sent out another service guy and he determined that in fact they were not checked. I can go on and on, I finally had enough when I asked the company to check all of my stations and rebait them, I called them three times to make sure that the service guy was in fact going to bring bait. Well him and his apprentice showed up in two separate trucks and neither had brought any bait. Again wasting my valuable time and to think I tipped them when they arrived and not asked for the tips back makes me feel like a fool. I don't like being ripped off and feeling like a fool. I cancelled my service and told the company to NOT CALL OR HAVE ANY CONTACT WITH ME OR I'LL FILE A CIVIL HARRESSMENT COMPLAINT WITH WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT. Everything about Viking Pest Control was horrible, ridiculous, and a joke #1 - They charge your credit card even before the day of service #2 - The day of the appointment, no one ever showed up #3 - First time I called, the day of the scheduled service, could not get anyone on the phone to complain about no one showing up, eventually left a message. #4 - Received a call back 5 days later. Because I was on the other line at the time, CSR left me a VM. #5 - Attempted to call back, once again, could not reach a live person. I ultimately had to call my credit card company to have the charge reversed. I've been in business myself for 16 years now. I own and manage more than 25 retail locations. I've have upwards of 100 people working for me seasonally. In all my years of dealing with customers, employees, and vendors, this is the WORST I have ever seen. I have to assume Viking provides some customers good service, otherwise they would be out of business if they treated everyone like me. If i could give them no stars i would. They are not reliable, we were supposed to be on a every other week schedule that started the first week in January. We're now in March and they haven't been back. I've called three times asked to talk to a manager. The manager is always busy and will call you back. Still waiting to hear from them three weeks later call today and again he's busy and he can't answer the phone. I have had a service contract with Viking Pest for four years. Currently I'm refinancing my VA loan so I called and asked if they could do a termite inspection. They told me it would be about two weeks before they could be out. I was scheduled one day before closing so I had to turn the report over right away. Viking assured me it wouldn't be a problem. But it was. They didn't do the report on the required form as promised and my loan didn't close. Each time a call the 800 number I get the same answer. We'll send a message to the location manager. Today they verified that the location manager received all the requests, but to date I don't have a report from them. Today Terminix came out, inspected, completed the form on the spot and gave me the same service contract for less. I guess Terminix is more about customer service than Viking. read more

I would never suggest this company. I have family with severe allergy to the harmful chemicals in the spray they use. I told them I had to have at minimum 24 hours notice to make sure that family member would not be at the house. I also have a dog that spends the days with full access to the yard. I keep the gates locked so nobody gets in and he doesn't get out. In order to make sure the dog is put away And gates opened. I needed notice. I paid their absurd sign up charge got one treatment and then they started coming whenever they felt like it. Which meant they never treated my back yard unless I called to complain and then I'd have to wait weeks for them to come. On June when they showed with no notice I told them they could not treat my home that day I was at work and had no notice of them coming. I told them to either return another day that week or cancel my contract in full. He said he would have someone call me immediately. Their call center never returned my call and they failed to cancel my contract. I have called, emailed, picked up phone calls from them over the last 4 months at least 6 times I've canceled my contract yet they continue to try to charge me and pretend to schedule me for treatments. I feel like I've been scammed. read more

So their is the proof your guy was 1 hour and 23 mins late because you gave me a 8-12 window and the time before that he arrived at 1232, but i don't need to upload anymore pages to prove that. You can also see in tech comments "2 week f/u 7/28/2016 0800-1200 hrs" which no one showed for. So don't try to discredit me like i really want to spend my time on here giving your company a bad review when all I'm doing is telling the people my experience with your company. Saying I got a "deeply discounted initial service" is also false i had a coupon which is why i got a discount, it wasn't out of the kindness of your companies heart. And let me state so it doesn't sound like I'm really angry or have a grudge against your company, I'm just stating facts, the first 2 times your company and tech was great and on time and that is why i signed the one year contract, thinking that was the kind of service i was going to get, but after i signed the one year contract your tech comes late twice and then doesn't show up at all, coincidence or is that how you guys operate, i don't know. And now you want me to go out of my way again and reach out to you so you can make things right lol. How about you have my info call me and explain what happened and why no one came and how your going to, or not going to rectify the situation. Maybe your tech had an emergency, maybe i was never in your computer system, all things i would understand, but you have to communicate that. When I called in to tell of my problem. I was sent a service technician instead of an inspection technician. Then I told them I had fleas when I called but the service technician said it was something called springtails. He said he wasn"t able to service the issue but it was wrote up wrong. He then told me that I would receive a call to reschedule for the issue of springtails. I never received a call or heard anything else from anyone of the company still to this day. Had to call Orkin just to find out the issue was what I originally said it was fleas and not what they diagnosed of Springtails. read more

Not reliable - they go to the wrong property and then bill you for a service you didn't request. They can't get to a property in a timely basis. They come to service a property but can only do half the job because not everything is "on their list" and they don't have all the materials they need (but they bill you in full anyway). After cancelling all contracts with them, I'm still getting billed even after cancellation. I've called 3 times and each time I'm told ( by a rep who is extremely difficult to understand -- guess they've outsourced customer service) that the contracts are cancelled and the improper invoices were voided. Yet I'm still getting annoying robo calls about "my delinquent account". Unprofessional, incompetent, possibly deceitful, and thoroughly unsatisfactory. After this last robo call I made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. read more

I would never use this company. I had a specific problem that I called them to treat. I have a contract with a company for generalized treatments but not wood boring insects. I explained that to them. When the technician arrived, he did not have the equipment with him that he needed and said he needed another technician with him. We made a second appointment. He arrived without the second technician and the ladder needed and I received a reminder of the 8 a.m. appointment at 2:30 p.m. of that day. We rescheduled for another time and the technician was a "no show". Now I am getting the rudest calls demanding the payment in full saying they treated the property. I have pictures of these dead insects in the same places. I wouldn't recommend this High Pressure Company that cannot complete service but demands full payment to anyone. read more

They are expensive and it took at least 3 attempts s and over a dozen calls to have the right person come and be able to go down and spray in the crawl space. I would look elsewhere for a reliable and honest pest control company. They will suck you in to a service plan and then if you ever need a service call, you'll wait 4 days for them to be able to come out. In the meantime you could (and might have to) have another company out that day to deal with the problem. You would think that a service plan would come with a certain level of loyalty, but it's actually quite the contrary. Once they sign you up, they figure you can't/won't go elsewhere for service so you'll be at their mercy as to when they can "make it" out. Not a very good or honest way to do business. Had issues with TERMINEX so was shopping around to find a new company. Set up an appointment with Viking to come out for free inspection last night between 5-7. My fiancé left work early so that he could be here for it. At 630 no one called or showed up yet so I called the Bensalem office just to see the status of the technician since it was getting close to 7 and the lady told me that we are on the list and that he will definitely be there by 7 and if he is running late he will call us and let us know. 8pm rolls around and still NO CALL AND NO TECHNICIAN! At this point we were very aggravated that someone couldn't just call to say they were running late so I tried to call the office back again and they were closed. 10pm and still no call and no technician, at this point we knew no one was coming. Very disappointed and I don't understand why the lady told me someone would be there and why we did not receive a call and why no one showed up!! Definitely NOT going to use this company. Very unprofessional! My fiancé was extremely pissed because he left work early for nothing!!!!!!!! read more

We are serviced by Viking in Audobon NJ, and have always been very pleased with the service. The office staff is always pleasant and helpful and the technicians have all been good. I want to give extra kudos to Niki who came for the first time two weeks ago and again today. Not only is she friendly and helpful, she is so thorough! She was checking on pantry moths and our newest addition - house mice. She set up traps and bait stations in the basement and came back today to check them. On her way in she noticed a lot of ants and went ahead and treated near the garage door. Once inside she spotted some by the kitchen door and put some bait there too. This was above and beyond what we called her in for. Today we purchased bait stations for outside of the house, and although we already pay for the annual service contract, we felt it was worth spending the extra money. If she's working so hard to help us get rid of the mice, we have to be supportive. I'm hoping we clear this up, but just had to commend Niki on a great job and let you know that your staff is outstanding! read more

I have had great luck with Viking on the two occasions I used them. The first occasion was during the winter of 2015. Critters had eaten through the plastic shutters of my vents on the side of my house and were attempting to live inside my walls. I replaced the vents with the help of my neighbors and a tall ladder, but within days, they chewed through the shutters again. I gave Viking a call to see if anything could be done. Within a few days a technician came out and took a look. He provided a fair estimate to put baskets over the vents that would greatly hinder the critters from getting into my walls. Needing this to be done quickly, I agreed to have the work performed while I was at work myself. When I came home on the day the job was done, 5 baskets were installed, a bill was in the mail, and I have not have critters getting into the vents since. Just today I had Viking come out to clean my gutters. A 30 foot ladder is required to reach the highest point and that is out of my comfort zone. Jose and a partner showed up on time to perform the service. To my surprise, my gutters were squeaky clean. This was unexpected as I had difficult blockages in the past. The two professionals went as far as to call their supervisor and then let me know that the service was free of charge as there was no service to perform. I suggested I owed them for their time, but they politely declined. I'm not used to this type of honesty when it comes to work on my home. I was truly impressed with the quality of people Viking employs. In the future Viking will be my go-to company for any pest control needs. Based on my experience, I highly recommend them. read more

The inspector came to give us a quote for getting rid of a skunk under our shed. He was on time, friendly, knowledgeable. I paid there and he left the trap and bait. It wasn't until the next day I noticed the trap was rusted. The day after that, I noticed the bait was empty and so was the trap. I called to have them refill the bait, and on the day they were supposed to show I had to call and remind them to come..it was nearing dark and no one had come. We have a lab, that desperately wanted her yard back. With a new trap and fresh bait, by the next morning the skunk was trapped. As soon as we saw it was trapped we called (8 am when the call center opens). I was assured someone would be here within the day. 630 rolled around and the poor skunk was still in our yard, in the trap, distraught. I called again and the woman I spoke to seemed absolutely shocked no one had picked it up yet. So again, I was calling to remind them about our property. We had to leave as soon as I hung up with Viking, and thankfully by the time we got back the trap was gone. But we paid over $200 to continuously remind them that we had made an appointment that no one showed up to. 3 stars for the second effective trap and bait, but 0 stars for responsiveness. read more

Paul was an excellent sales person by explaining everything that is to expected and what was supposed to be done. Multiple visits within the first few weeks to eliminate our pest problem and then it would slow down as our problem slowed down. The first technician Al, seemed very clueless and didn't even know what he was here for. He did his job to the best of his knowledge but when you have technicians coming out and there's constant miscommunication between the company and the technician, what was sold what is being provided and what is being done theres an issue. Niki just came today and went up and beyond to try and rectify the situation but if it weren't for us calling the company they never set up a follow up because our traps were full and we had no idea and they never came to check it ... BIG THANK YOU to Niki so far for going up and beyond to try and help us to the best she could but seems like theres a huge disconnect of communication between corporate and the people they have working for them. If it weren't for Niki we would have canceled our service and hopefully moving forward we can continue with a positive outlook, but until then NIKI gets 5 stars, the company itself 2 stars. read more

Terrible experience. Wish it would let me post without even selecting one star as I think that is too generous considering the poor customer service I received. I had to have technicians come out 4 times to deal with my squirrel issue in my soffits. Not only did they not get rid of them, the problem got worse. For two weeks I had to call and schedule appointments had a hard time with customer service, was given attitude from the people on the phone ("Do you know where the squirrels are coming in? Well the technician doesn't either." I thought this was why I paid them $315...), and couldn't get in touch with customer service unless I selected the new customer option, apparently customer service to people they already have money from is not a top priority. Finally, someone reached out who said since I had to have a roofer fix the problem because the technicians could not after two weeks of trying, he would look into me getting a refund. I didn't hear from him for a week so I called and he said he was still waiting for approval. I waited another week and sent an email which he read but has yet to respond to almost a week later. It has now been five weeks since this process started and I have not been able to get an answer. Customer service passes you around but no one helps solve the problem. I'm not a squirrel expert, but they didn't even remove the nest, which my roofer did and thankfully that seemed to have resolved the problem. I found screws below the area where the wire was installed which makes me think either my area has unusually strong squirrels or shotty workmanship, most likely the latter. I will never go back to them and am still waiting to hear about the status of my refund. I really just want this to be over and would like my money back since they did not accomplish what I paid them for. Last I heard the guy I was communicating with was trying to get in touch with the owner to get the refund approved - I'm not sure why it is so difficult. It was a headache throughout the whole process. On two occasions I would ask for a half-hour heads up phone call that they were coming so I could be home, and never got one.
