She said to my mom as well. She has to bring her own hair and I said no I want my own hair. She wasn't sure if my hair was long enough that first style my hair was way longer than she thought. My hair was way thicker than she thought and she said guess what we can pull out the pull off the style however you want it in the band 2 kn they were gorgeous. Everyone loved my hair and I was able to pair it with some of the hair accessories. I have then the second time she did my hair which is current. I love my hair I can style it anyway I want corn rolls the front and I let her corn roll. Whatever she's feeling whatever design she's feeling that day as long as she leaves some out in the back sometimes she'll say no I need to braid the back to get it to grow and her growth oil. Her oil for your scalp is amazing. It's $10 a bottle and it's worth every single penny I now have two bottles of oil scout oil. My mom has like four bottle bottles. The vibe is really nice. My hearing is very sensitive. So when I come to the shop, she make sure that in her area she turns down the volume completely on the TV or the music and I'm very sensitive to smells. She make sure it smells like Kashmir as she make sure that I'm OK that I have water she just is very, very wonderful and very lovely and she listens to you and gives you exactly what you want. She goes above and beyond, and I asked her to wash my hair and scrub my scout real good and she washes it in scrubs it not to where it hurts but she asked me before I get up out of the shampoo bowl when she shampoos it and then conditions it she said that I get all the areas of your scalp that itch. I say yes yes yes ma'am I even fell asleep when she was washing and shampooing and conditioning my hair and she does deep conditioners. It's awesome. I love her and her prices are reasonable. She doesn't request much. She just wants you to be satisfied, you cannot walk out that door unsatisfied she will go back and rearrange her schedule if you're not satisfied with your hair, but she checks in on you during the appointment and says OK do you like it? Is this OK? Is this all right and if you say no, she said OK we'll start over. We'll start over. I love it. I love her shot. She used to have two shots but now she converted it to one which is wonderful. I have even taken a few cards and giving them away and left them with different people like today. I left one of her cards with the lady at the library South Bowie branch and said just let her touch your hair just and if she helps it grow, it's wonderful and she's a licensed. She has her licensed cosmetology and a Loctician and even silk press she does those she does it all. She's so amazing. I leave her card on different people's cars. They want to have their hair done all natural even if you want a chemical in it she won't mind, but she will tell you the pH balance of your hair. What's good for it? At that time, she was unavailable due to a health break but confirmed via email on November 13, 2023, that she had returned and was offering the 2-Strand Twists Extensions service. Following my initial appointment on April 28, 2024, I continued to use Kida's services for multiple appointments, including a wig installation on July 26, 2024, and wig coloring on August 4, 2024. During my appointment on August 29, 2025, Kida was asked to blend my V-part wig with my natural hair. During the service, when I inquired if the colors matched, she replied "No," with a laugh. She then clarified that she had only matched the wig to the ends of my hair, a decision I found both confusing and unprofessional. I had a payment issue with Kida via the StyleSeat platform, which was complicated by the fact that I didn't have an account with it and checked out as a Guest. When the payment failed to go through on August 31st, Kida said StyleSeat informed her the charge had declined. However, my bank showed no pending transactions, and I repeatedly clarified to Kida that I lacked an account and had checked out as a Guest. After several exchanges, Kida suggested I pay via Zelle. To confirm the correct course of action, I contacted StyleSeat directly. When they confirmed the original charge would not be re-processed, I immediately sent the payment to Kida via Zelle and expressed my thanks. To prevent future issues, I later reached out to Kida to establish a new payment method, explaining my preference for booking directly with her and paying in cash in which she agreed. On October 2, 2025, I texted Kida to schedule an appointment for October 17th and inquire about the cost but received no response. I followed up with a voicemail on October 3rd; I was again met with silence. Beyond the lack of communication, I was disappointed with Kida's professionalism and integrity during my August 29th appointment when she knowingly selected a color pallet on August 4, 2024 that did not match my natural hair and appeared to find the situation humorous, despite my need to wear the wig for an event. The characteristics I value in a hairstylist, such as attention to detail, strong communication skills, and integrity, were notably absent from my experience. Based on this, I would not recommend her services to others.
