I had the pleasure of staying here for 3 nights and attend a wedding. It is a truly authentic Italian villa. It has that down home feeling like you are staying at a friend's house. The staff pretty much stayed out of the way and let us do our own thing. The couple found their own vendors for everything throughout the weekend!
I loved the historic feel as our room had a common area, surrounded by a number of bedrooms and a kitchen. We shared this space with some good friends, all of us with young kids in tow. It was not a problem as the bathrooms were attached to each of the bedrooms.
I also loved that the property had a different area for everything. We had an opening night party in the back area that was grassy and so picturesque with the sunset right behind you. The ceremony was in the garden area, which spread into a cocktail hour with plenty of space for everyone to spread out and the kids to run around. The wedding dinner was in the gravel courtyard and the acoustics were great for speeches with the surrounding buildings around us. The dancing was indoors in the cool cavern that felt like an underground club!
For the day time activities, the large pool with bathroom nearby was a great place to lounge and the chairs and selection of floaties and toys made the experience even better. This place is magical! read more
